So winning with 11 votes to 8, is their cover of the Pointer Sisters' 'Jump (For My Love)'. Released as the lead single to the re-release of 'Sound Of The Underground' and for the film 'Love Actually', 'Jump' charted at a much better #2 ('Something New' charted here so it must be the position the best songs chart at. smile.gif )

Here are the full results:

LOVE 'Jump'. wub.gif

I remember buying the single and playing it to death, such a vivacious and well produced cover version.

Perfect winner indeed!

Often cover singles are looked down on, but 'Jump' felt pretty edgy/cool for a cover, for 2003. Well it did to me anyway! laugh.gif I remember being SO annoying that Westlife's 'Mandy' beat them to the top spot.

I do wonder whether 'Jump' would have been a #1 if it had been the Children In Need single for that year. Admittedly the connection to 'Love Actually' was quite a big deal, but then the track was left out of the film anyway... laugh.gif
