Feel free to add any I forgot or remove any if I made a mistake!

What is tour favourite Doc Who Christmas special? Mine is by far A Christmas Carol. I'll do a full rate later, but that one for me is head and shoulders above the rest. My second favourite is a Clara one ohmy.gif , rhe one with the dream crabs.

Last Christmas by far for me!! One of my favourite Twelve stories in general as it’s everything you want from an episode - fun, scary, clever and full of heart - all topped off by having actual Santa in it!

Other faves would by Voyage of the Damned, The Snowmen as well as A Christmas Carol which is the ULTIMATE actual Christmas episode, so magical. I wasn’t too keen on first watch but really appreciated it over the years as it does something very different with the Christmas special.

1. The Runaway Bride
2. Voyage of the Damned
3. The Husbands of River Song
4. Resolution
5. Last Christmas
6. The Christmas Invasion
7. The End of Time (Parts 1 and 2)
8. The Time of the Doctor
9. Twice Upon A Time
10. A Christmas Carol
11. The Snowmen
12. The Next Doctor
13. The Return of Doctor Mysterio
14. The Doctor, the Widow and the Wardrobe

A mish-mash of episodes here but a lot of them I can certainly watch and get a lot of enjoyment from! The Runaway Bride remains fantastic viewing. I rewatched Twice Upon a Time for the first time (!) the other day and it's really strong, but I really wish it actually had more of a plotline :')

The Runaway Bride is 10/10, Voyage Of The Damned not far behind. Those on their own could be standalone projects whereas some others on the list kind of need the continuity to make sense. End Of Time was great but I’ll always prefer the S4 finale episodes in terms of “the end” of the 10th.

This is difficult because Christmas specials usually attempt to be more generally appealing than the average episode, which means it lacks all the qualities I love about Doctor Who (I am here for the complex storylines, clever lines and in-jokes/references.) The only Christmas special I can ever remember genuinely enjoying on first watch is 'The Husbands of River Song', so I've gone for that. Besides, it brought River Song's story to an end and I never expected we would see her again so I was loving that she was back.

The first 3 are superb, but went for the Christmas Invasion in the end.

The Snowmen, 100%. Great storyline, plenty comedy to keep it light-hearted, great villain(s) with the return of the Great Intelligence, and the re-introduction of Clara was brilliant!
