Gotta be the 2nd worst chart position, after #76.

Nu-Birth "Anytime" <3 Such a wonderful oldskool garage tune.

Toy-Box "Best Friend" haha, cheesy guilty pleasure

Runner-up, perhaps a bit too cheesy to sneak into the top 40 even for 1999:

Also seeing Pharrell Williams completely miss the top 40 in 2008 with a brand new song is now absolutely unthinkable tongue.gif Quite enjoyed 'Everyone Nose' at the time too, much more than anything he's released this year. 'She Wants to Move' it ain't though.

Poor Sub Focus, getting 2 #41 hits in the space of 4 months sad.gif 'Splash' especially deserved recognition. I'm glad he made up for it with the success of the Torus era though.

Love/like the following;

Hands Peak at No. 41 21/11/98 - Jewel
The Games We Play Peak at No. 41 27/05/00 - Andreas Johnson
A Sorta Fairytale Peak at No. 41 26/10/02 - Tori Amos
Sparks Peak at No. 41 28/06/03 - Royksopp
This Is Your Night Peak at No. 41 05/07/03 - Anotherside
If You Were Mine Peak at No. 41 25/02/06 - Marcos Hernandez
She's Got You High Peak at No. 41 26/05/07 - Mumm Ra
When Will I See Your Face Again Peak at No. 41 08/09/07 - Jamie Scott & The Town
Stuttering (Kiss Me Again) Peak at No. 41 10/05/08 - Ben's Brother
Run The Show Peak at No. 41 07/06/08 - Kat DeLuna featuring Busta Rhymes wub.gif
Use Somebody Peak at No. 41 25/09/10 - Pixie Lott
If You're Never Gonna Move Peak at No. 41 09/02/13 - Jessie Ware
The Way Peak at No. 41 06/04/13 - Ariana Grande featuring Mac Miller

Also, I always forget that Duffy's Well, Well, Well missed the top 40, the hype all evaporated so fast around her but then it wasn't a very good song, to put it nicely. Surprised the Mumm Ra song didn't go top 40, seems to appear in a lot of films/TV shows. I seem to recall Marcos Hernandez being hyped at the time (could he even have been on the BBC's Sound of 2006 list?), so it's odd that he never made the top 40 with that. Pretty sure the lead singer of the Honeyz was the vocalist in Anotherside! Also, the Kat DeLuna song, as with everything she touches, is iconic.

I remember listening to the chart show the week Daniel Bedingfield had his #41 hit in 2005, they made a huge deal out of it and for the only time I remember started the chart at #41 to highlight it. laugh.gif

What an injustice.

Also, when Amelia Lily's Party Over came in at 40, I remember thinking she narrowly avoided peaking at 3 of the 'worst' chart positions with her 3 singles (2, 11 and 41).

Hardly, considering how well Cartoons did that year. It was just a lack of airplay and videoplay support. It was a huge hit in some European countries, even reaching #1 in Netherlands. I wonder why they didnt go with "Tarzan & Jane" first, that was their lead single everywhere else

Wow, really? laugh.gif What was the big deal about it though? Obviously he'd had a large decline in success at the time, but lots of artists do, and it's not like it was the lead single that missed the top 40 (like with Duffy, for example).

This.

Now, however, she'd be lucky to even touch the top 75

Sparks by Röyksopp is my favourite of these.

I don't know the majority of them but my favourite of this list are two amazing songs!!! They should be Top 40 hits. The latter was a radio hit in country..

Vision Of You Peak at No. 41 02/06/90 - Belinda Carlisle
Don't Wanna Run No More Peak at No. 41 15/08/09 - Vagabond

The Way, Run The Show, If You're Never Gonna Move and especially Give To Me Right missing out by one place is criminal sad.gif

Still find it hilarious about Duffy's Whale Whale Whale missing top 40 though! What a truly horrific song - and this us coming from somebody who broke their copy of her debut Rockferry from overplay within a few months laugh.gif
