Madvillain's 'Madvillainy' is also an MF DOOM project (his collab with Madlib) and by far his highest entry, currently at #13 - he never had any commercially successful albums but that's definitely his most well-known project, seems to be a pretty huge cult classic in underground hip-hop. Would be quite nice if that could finally make the UK top 100 this week, though not sure how likely that is.

3 NEW
Gerry & The Pacemakers - The Best of Gerry & The Pacemakers

They haven't made the album chart since the 60s, so it would be lovely to see them make a splash given the passing of Gerry yesterday.

His second album peaked at #77 though smile.gif
it was one of the biggest flops in recent years
so seeing this sun the top 5 is surprising to say the least

Zayn's position probably also equates to about 20 sales.

Icarus Falls debuted at #15 on the download chart so its position so far isn't at all surprising (and it takes barely any downloads to get that high as Rob said)

The exact same opening sales that he got for 'Icarus Falls' would equate to being not too far off the top 10 in last week's chart laugh.gif it'd take some serious failure for him to not significantly outpeak that just by default with a January release.

Guessing You Me At Six should be able to get the #1 album this week, Sleaford Mods could maybe get a top 5 too after how well they did with just a compilation album last year (infamously getting the midweek #1 before being entirely absent from the following week's midweeks) and I suspect Why Don't We will be quite high up due to excessive multiformatting.

I hope You Me At Six can get there, I just have a feeling it'll be Why Don't We with their bundles.

Actually forgot YM@6's last album charted as low as #6 (and only selling 8.8k first week) oops - not so confident that they'll get the #1 now.

Why Don't We were nowhere near #1 with their last album but Joseph reliably tells me that only had one format available so they should do better this time, a #1 probably isn't out of the question. Although would it then be another #1 album to fall out of the top 40 in its second week? kink.gif (saying that as if You Me At Six wouldn't also possibly do that lol)
