Calvin Harris' 2nd album 'Ready For The Weekend' was released on 14 August 2009 – nearly 10 years ago now! The album featured the #1s 'I'm Not Alone' and 'Dance Wiv Me' alongside three other singles, the title track, 'Flashback' and 'You Used to Hold Me'.
To mark the anniversary we are running a rate for it with the results to be revealed closer to the anniversary date. The tracklist is listed below, and the album is available on any good streaming site so take a listen before you rate it and try to not leave out any tracks.

I remember buying this album on day of release and saw Calvin in Bristol's O2 academy in October 2009. Good times. Will take a listen over the weekend and refresh my memory with some of the tracks over the weekend and put my rate in next week sometime.
This is so hard because Ready For The Weekend is still my favourite album from him to date.

09 | Greatest Fear
The singles are quite clearly the obvious standout here; You Used To Hold Me will always remain a top Calvin song for me. This really dips in quality in the middle after Flashback though. Worst Day is incredibly bad and the autotune on Limits is terrible Dance Wiv Me is a nice inclusion towards the end. Of the ATs, Blue, Greatest Fear and Stars Come Out are definitely the highlights.

Just a few hours left!!
Let's get these results started then, starting with the bottom five.
11. "Relax" 6.214285714
12. "Yeah Yeah Yeah La La La" 6.142857143
13. "Limits" 6
14. "Worst Day" (featuring Izza Kizza) 5.714285714
15. "Burns Night" 5.571428571
Right at the bottom is the downbeat interlude track 'Burns Night', which I didn't think was the worst on the album actually but it's not very exciting of a song either.
'Worst Day' is the other song with a sub-six average, not helped by a poor guest rap verse and the song doesn't suit Calvin at all, thankfully he soon found a style that worked for him.
'Limits' suffers here from the overuse of autotune on Calvin's voice and finishes with an average of exactly six.
'Yeah Yeah Yeah La La La' is a bit more upbeat and should've finished top 10 really but like most of this album isn't a big Calvin fave.
Just missing the top 10 is 'Relax' which is one of the more electro sounding tracks of the album.
The next five, continuing with the album tracks of course
6. "Greatest Fear" 8.142857143
7. "Stars Come Out" 7.714285714
8. "Blue" 7.428571429
9. "The Rain" 7.285714286
10. "5iliconeator" 6.357142857
Some fairly middling votes here, but I'd say some of the better tracks on the album for sure. 'Greatest Fear' just misses the Top 5 and was included as a bonus track on the album but if it had been given an edit and release I reckon it could've done quite well!
Only the 5 singles left to reveal! What has come out on top?
5. "Ready for the Weekend" 8.142857143
The weakest single of the album as judged by the voters here turns out to be the title track! It was released as the second single from the album and peaked at #3 and saw him return to a more disco style.
Ready For The Weekend got the same average as Greatest Fear? Wow!
4. "You Used to Hold Me" 9.142857143
The final single released from the album, which reached #27 in charts in 2010. The track was more electro in style and is definitely one of my favourite tracks from him.
3. "Dance Wiv Me" (Dizzee Rascal featuring Calvin Harris and Chrome) 9.428571429
Released in 2008 as a Dizzee Rascal single with guest vocals from Calvin and Chrome in the chorus, it became a massive #1 - the first of Calvin's career. The song was produced by Calvin and is as much his song as it is Dizzee's really, which led to it being included on the album.
It's between I'm Not Alone and Flashback for the #1, one of which has an average of above 10!
An average above 10!
It deserves it too!
2. "Flashback" 9.714285714
The third single from 2009 is our runner up! The song featured vocals from Ayah Marar and reached #18 in the UK Singles Chart which wasn't bad going for a post-album single.
I'll leave Dan to reveal the inevitable winner
1. "I'm Not Alone" 10.42857143
Unsurprisingly this is the favourite! I'm Not Alone was released as the first track of the album and gave Calvin his first solo UK #1. It saw him go in a new direction with an anthemic trance influenced breakdown. Ten years later it's still one of his most highly regarded tracks on Buzzjack and is certainly the best track of this era.

While we wait for a new Calvin single (it's been ages!) we may as well have another album rate shortly. Leave your suggestions for which album we should look back at next.
I'm Not Alone is still one of his best songs to date, glad it's done so well here!
As for suggestions on another album to look back on, I would definitely say Motion! It's coming up to five years since the album was released and I still think it's one of his two best albums (the other being 18 Months).
Yeah it’s got to be Motion for me too seeing as it’s 5 years old now!
I'm sure in time we'll go through them all
If we last that long
