Coming out of posting retirement to reveal that JESC 2018 will have a record breaking 19 nations! Including a debut from Kazakhstan who will presumably be on their way to the adult contest too now?

Sorry Adam, I know I'm committing heresy here but France have come back to JESC after giving this the swerve for more than a decade and their comeback entry is up to their usual grown-up ESC standards!

I am intrigued! I was planning on listening to them when all the entries have been revealed anyway (not sure when that is). I ain't missing the Eurovision debut of Kazakhstan, even if it is the Junior! Besides, I have lived for the mess that is the voting in this the past couple of years.

Guess what bitch has listened to all 20 of these songs so you don't have to! There's a full spectrum here of the unlistenable, the mildly bad and the actually surprisingly good but in addition to the French song I posted above - definitley check out these two:
If you appreciate a good Balkan angst ballad then Macedonia have got you covered! If this was in the main event in Tel Aviv then this would probably be in with a chance of making it through the semis which is a big improvement on Macedonia's usual fare of late And jesus, if Kazakhstan are capable of this straight out the gate in junior then somebody get them in the grown up contest immediately! |

It appears Joseph was in charge of choosing the Irish entry
I'm not saying it's any good, but the hook is annoyingly catchy and I am living for Ryan O'Shaughnessy appearing in the video |

Kazakhstan must win, however I don't think the best song has ever won this thing so I'm not holding my breath. France and Ukraine were also decent.

Do they still give 12 points to everyone for just showing up?

And even by JESC standards the lyrics are making me die. |

With absolutely nothing to go on other than my limited knowledge of this, predicting a top 3 of Armenia, Macedonia and Kazakhstan and a bottom 3 of Wales, Israel and Portugal.

Would’ve much preferred a French win but that was quite a nail biter waiting to see if Poland had scored enough online votes to snatch the victory.

I actually don't mind the winning song, still should've been France getting the crown in the end! The online vote actually working this year was a nice surprise though x
