I think they just realize that times have changed and its very difficult to get a chart hit today. Saying they dont care about the charts is just a way to mask this.

In a previous interview she said she had researched the new landscape with digital and streaming - I'd assume she has a very realistic view on how this will do. I do really think she's throwing this out there because she wants to rather than thinking that she'll be a chart superstar. She's not dumb.

At the end of the day, Dannii has got the cash from her tv gigs to do whatever the hell she wants to.

It's not 10 years, her last single was 100 Degrees with Kylie last year, and the year before we got Summer Of Love.
Touch Me Like That was the last single she released when signed to a record label

100 Degrees was a Kylie single Dannii happened to be featured on and Summer of Love didn't get a proper release. This is her her first proper single since TMLT

Hmmm really?? So how come Summer of Love is all over iTunes (3 different versions), never got a physical release, and neither will Holding On. And yes, I did say 100 Degrees was with Kylie...but it's still part of her discography as a featured artist

It had an extended mix and remixes, never a proper original version.
100 Degrees is a Kylie song. Holding On will be Dannii's first proper single that is her own in years.

She has climbed from number 93 to 81. At this point, the song has done better than i expected in the UK.

I think its peak was #79? Now slowly falling. I also thought it'd probably briefly touch the top 300 or so.

Given this a few listens, and it's actually a bit of a JAM despite not really being what I'd wanted or expected. A few shrieky vocals here and there from the Danster though, right?

Went top 70 here in Ireland on iTunes, didnt see that coming at all, likewise with it going into the top 100 in the UK.

This is not very good. It sounds like a demo and very amateurish. Not a patch on her more well known material like perfection and flower power. I really can't see this being a hit.

We can only guess... Not Top 200 for sure, because it didn't make it into the top 100 sales. Don't really know if it's released independent, but if so it didn't make Independent Top 50 for that week.
