Who do you think will be on the BBC's list for the Sound of 2016?

Jack Garratt, Mura Masa and Nao all seem like likely inclusions based on their recent R1 support. Not sure who else.

Shakka is a definite for me.

There's normally a token rapper included - Bonkaz, J Hus and Yungen have recently been signed by major labels, so they could be chosen. Lean & Bop is just wub.gif.

Snakehips have made some great music this year (including Buzzjack fave 'All My Friends') and have a debut album out next year. They have a good chance of being included.

Nao is sure to be included on their long list - need to have a dig around to find some more predictions. Love this time of the year when 'new' music for 2016 is all the talk on forums and blogs.

Jack Garratt is already receiving the BBC Introducing prize at the BBC Music Awards - I'd like to think that honour excludes him from being long listed. I think it's a given he's going to do well next year with his album in January - and the BBC are already championing him.

Firefly should have been a huge #1 in the summer, my favourite dance song of the year easily.

Anything that's been on the IMWT list in the past few months I'd say.

That was going to be my entry to BJSC 75 before I discovered David was sending another Mura Masa song!

What is with the names of acts these days? I'd kill for a definite article somewhere.

Jack Garratt, Frances and Izzy Bizu up for the BRITs Critics Choice, good chance they'll feature on this list then?

What a huge missed opportunity, I reckon it would have performed a lot better in the contest sad.gif

Suede managed perfectly well without one. OTOH, The The went in completely the opposite direction.

Jack Garratt, really? That's pretty irritating, given how much support the BBC have been giving him already this year; but I guess Critics Choice doesn't necessarily mean Sound of... support (see Emeli Sande).
