BuzzJack Music Forum _ Pop _ Carrie Underwood - Church Bells

Posted by: Cameron 30th March 2016, 02:30 PM

Carrie has confirmed that Church Bells will be the third single to be taken from Storyteller.

Pleased with the choice, wasn't one of my favourites at first but it has really grown on me.

Chaser or nothing Carrie.

Chaser has been spinning on radio 2 though laugh.gif

Isn't 'Chaser' like a UK single?

Posted by: Rossco 31st March 2016, 09:02 AM

I thought Chaser was the UK single and Church Bells was the US single?

Chaser is the Europe single, Church Bells the America single, yes!

I hope they do a video for Chaser. I'm with Cam, Church Bells has really grown on me but the video could be EPIC <3

I really like Chaser & Church Bells to maybe releasing them togetherwouod be a great idea. the chorus to Church Bells is killer though heart.gif

I am really loving this right now, a bit late perhaps but I don't remember it being a particular standout on the album. Think it could be on its way to beating Smoke Break and Heartbeat in my affections though heart.gif

I'd still rank this at the lower end of her singles, I think the same goes for Heartbeat and certainly Smoke Break too, Dirty Laundry is the one screaming for release for me along with Chaser. I do really like the three singles in their own I'd just have chosen differently except for maybe Heartbeat as that was the inevitable ballad release.

Oh yeah none of the three are quite up there with her many classics but I don't think it's bad when she has a discography this good!

'Heartbeat' is in Carrie's top 5 IMO.

Posted by: Regina 7th June 2016, 01:49 PM

Smoke Break is easily the worst track on the album and one od her weakest singles.

Posted by: JoeyJeppssonWall 7th June 2016, 01:52 PM

Smoke Break is great but it's a little Carrie-by-numbers for me for it to rank alongside her very best.

Harry levels of backtracking there.

I never said that made it bad unsure.gif I really like the song, definitely nowhere near the worst on the album either. No backtracking anywhere ~
