Following their #1 album Revolution Radio in 2016, Green Day return next week with a new single!

Buzzing for this smile.gif

Wow hope it's more commercial than their last few releases!

I hope it’s not laugh.gif

Green Day have now denied the rumours of a single being released sad.gif

Posted by: pippa 12th July 2019, 03:25 PM

Their last albums felt they had a very unplanned strategy to the releases.
I hope they can improve on this release.

Ok, massive rumors! Apparently Green Day, Fall Out Boy & Weezer will all be touring together, and there is another rumor that a collab track is being released on Tuesday!

I really really hope it's all true laugh.gif

NEW ALBUM OUT JANUARY 17th!! Title track out now

Posted by: f 13th September 2019, 08:27 AM

including f*** into the titles has become a thing lately hasn't it

Posted by: Dexton 13th September 2019, 08:29 AM

This is a bit crap isn’t it

Posted by: WhoOdyssey 10th October 2019, 10:00 AM

'Fire, Ready, Aim' out today! Really liking this one, though it's a bit short. There's lots of speculation is this a 'troll album's to get them out of their contract with Warner Bros.

Posted by: Bré 10th October 2019, 01:07 PM

Why does the subtitle say 6th album? That's not even close, it's their 13th album... laugh.gif

This definitely does look like it's just them trolling and doing the minimum to end their contract. Lol.

Posted by: WhoOdyssey 10th October 2019, 01:28 PM

I have no idea why I put sixth laugh.gif

The 'Well, you're a liar' part in the verses remind me of the verses on The Hives' Hate To Say I Told You

Tracklisting has been revealed, I'm enjoying both singles a lot more than when they came out.

1. Father Of All…
2. Fire, Ready, Aim
3. Oh Yeah!
4. Meet Me On The Roof
5. I Was A Teenage Teenager
6. Stab You In The Heart
7. Sugar Youth
8. Junkies On A High
9. Take The Money And Crawl
10. Graffitia

I Was A Teenage Teenager lmao

100% this is a ‘joke’ album, I reckon the end product won’t be much worse than Tres but I can’t wait to here it tbh

Posted by: WhoOdyssey 12th January 2020, 11:09 AM

'Oh Yeah!' is out on Thursday!

Posted by: WhoOdyssey 17th January 2020, 04:36 PM

'Oh Yeah!' released yesterday, and it features a Joan Jett sample - I quite like it.

Just gave the album a listen and it's great! I know they're supposed to have not tried very hard on this album or whatever but honestly it's as good as their usual output. Also, at just over 26 minutes long, it's easily one of the shortest albums I've ever listened to.

Posted by: WhoOdyssey 8th February 2020, 09:38 PM

I really like this - I know it's short but there's not a single track on it I didn't like. My favourite tracks are Fire Ready Aim, Oh Yeah, Meet Me on the Roof and Graffitia.

Posted by: Dexton 10th February 2020, 02:14 AM

Their worst album to date lmao, half the songs sound the same and then their trying to be edgy by sampling a song written by Gary Glitter. Add that to his comments about Ariana Grande and it’s just a mess laugh.gif I know Green Day have been known to put money before other things in the past but this is on a whole new level

Posted by: Bré 10th February 2020, 02:20 AM

They're advertising this album pointing out that it has 'no Swedish songwriters!!1', but they're perfectly fine having a song with Gary Glitter having songwriting credits. K then.

Coming for the number 1 this week!

Posted by: WhoOdyssey 16th February 2020, 04:43 PM

This is now their fourth UK #1 album! biggrin.gif

I've been thoroughly enjoying it, joke album or not.

Posted by: Bjork 16th February 2020, 09:00 PM

don't think it's a joke album, they care too much about their discography and heritage
they're also promoting this a lot, they were even on Ellen, they wouldn't do that if they didn't care

Posted by: Steve201 16th February 2020, 09:28 PM

Have any British stations playlisted the songs?

Posted by: All★bySmashMouth 16th February 2020, 10:46 PM

This... is much better than the last album 'Revolution Radio'.

It is less preachy (or less focused on the sociopolitical bullcrappery), the music is more fun and the song lengths are acceptable unlike the last album (RR was half a bore compared to the 2012 triple-albums and this album IMO).

'Meet Me On The Roof' is a choon. Sounds like be a big hit (not that they need that sort of success anymore).
