Looks pretty OTT and campy but at the same time pretty tense and scary. I love movies that are set within a certain time frame and the addition of the water and cage gives it a real claustrophobic feel. Not sure how it'll last 89 minutes though Nice change in genre for Mandy too.
Two sisters vacationing in Mexico become trapped in a shark cage on the ocean floor.
As their oxygen starts to run out and with great white sharks circling them, the sisters must find a way to get to the surface alive.
Opens in the US on June 23rd.
This is on my radar, so to speak but the conceptually similar Cage Dive looks superior and has generated more buzz
Interesting, on my radar also this. Trailer looks good.
This was a decent watch, completely & logistically impossible of course but you gotta overlook that to enjoy it. The twist at the end was quite good in fairness! Similar to The Shallows but I think that edges this one for me.
I wasn't that hyped to watch this because I thought it looked a bit cheap from the trailers but I thought I'd catch it as I finished work early and thought it was pretty decent. It was really tense throughout and I was completely on the edge of my seat for most of the film, there so many good twists and turns that made the film even more scary with each new development. The most tense moment was probably when Javier found them and was immediately killed by one of the sharks I wasn't so keen on the cheap plot twist hallucination ending, I think they probably could have finished when they ended up on the boat with the wounds being treated and it would've worked better as the ending in my opinion.
