Surprised they've kept Little Mix on for a 5th week on the A-list, especially at the expense of Julia Michaels, really thought that would get another couple of weeks.

Just five new entries to the C-list is a bit disappointing considering the number of big releases out this week and last.

I'm pretty sure they're done with Lady Gaga now.

Posted by: Steve201 28th April 2017, 09:08 AM

Like all the new additions this week although haven't heard Katy yet!

Pity they don't seem to be adding the XX follow up singles to the A List, the album is the best of the year for me easily!

Posted by: danG 28th April 2017, 09:24 AM

I guess Lady Gaga really is considered irrelevant now, boo. sleep.gif

Posted by: UltraGreenLight 28th April 2017, 09:41 AM

Yassss Shawn & Lana wub.gif

Boo at Lorde & Gaga sad.gif

Posted by: Bjork 28th April 2017, 10:09 AM

yes at the Lana add
but really thought Gaga would be added too

Posted by: Lenny 28th April 2017, 10:11 AM

Next week is probably GaGa's last chance. The video hasn't dropped yet has it?

Posted by: Rob S ~ 28th April 2017, 10:15 AM

Perhaps it's got a late impact date or something. It's only been out 2 weeks. I suppose it's later than Shawn & Lana.

It's understandable for them to get all reluctant with Gaga though after her last single & this one hasn't exactly peaked higher than it either so far!

alt-j, Fickle Friends and Paramore all moving up *.*

Posted by: Tinasha 28th April 2017, 10:21 AM

Honestly, there's still plenty of time for Gaga, I really can't see them snubbing this.

I really can't see them adding it now.

They should add Kygo and remove Ed Sheeran or Ariana Grande

Posted by: tommie 28th April 2017, 11:22 AM

I'm surprised they're still pushing Best Behaviour tbh.

And they're done with GaGa. I think what's hurting it, besides the fact she's a certified flop and utterly irrelevant to everyone, is that there seems to be no real plan behind the release.

Posted by: John-James 28th April 2017, 11:32 AM

Ugh still no Gaga mad.gif

Posted by: Mr. C. Joel 28th April 2017, 11:42 AM

So Pleased Best Behaviour is still there, it's a tune regardless of it's poor performance.

Hopefully by some Miracle they'll playlist AJR ft Louisa.

I'm not a hardcore Louisa fan, but IMO she deserves to stick around, she has so much potential.

Posted by: JosephStyles🐶 28th April 2017, 11:51 AM

I think it's too early to write off Gaga yet, I'm not 100% convinced they WILL support her but there's still a good chance for the next few weeks.

Yay for Katy and Shawn this week, otherwise quite underwhelming considering all the new releases, was hoping for Charlie to be added!

Posted by: Dmdr 28th April 2017, 11:51 AM

I don't understand the Gaga decision, its held incredibly well on Itunes since release and is doing well on Spotify, it is a bizarre decision if they don't playlist it. Hopefully it is a case of it just having a later impact date.

Posted by: Zárate 28th April 2017, 12:28 PM

I think if radio 1 don't add Gaga next week then they most certainly won't at all, but there's still a chance, like 50%.

Posted by: Tawdry Hepburn 28th April 2017, 12:40 PM

I'm sceptical over whether they'll add Gaga, with an act like Radio 1 have a history of it signifying dumping an artist entirely if they don't playlist one single (i.e. her last single).

Posted by: Bjork 28th April 2017, 12:42 PM

Gaga has been added to this weeks Radio 2's playlist
so might mean R1 is gonna pass

Posted by: Envoirment 28th April 2017, 02:32 PM

Great to see Katy in at B-list and Paramore up to the B-list! Really hoping they'll add Gaga next week.

Posted by: Tombo 28th April 2017, 02:46 PM

The Gaga song is crap, I think that is probably why they aren't playlisting it.

Well it's got a pretty good reception generally speaking so I highly doubt this... laugh.gif

I'm pretty sure so are trying to rattle people's cages but it amazes me that you can slate artists when you have a G.R.L banner sleep.gif

Posted by: mdh 28th April 2017, 03:17 PM

Yeah I expect they will add Gaga in due course.

Good to see Shawn get a B List add and same for Katy - as much as I'm not a fan of the song she deserves another hit!

Posted by: TMD_24 28th April 2017, 03:34 PM

I hope they are not snubbing Derulo, easily the most funniest song of the year and doing very well on iTunes & Spotify.

That's the most surprising snub of the year so far for me actually. He's not exactly old, he's still very relevant, the song's a hit, and it's up their street, so I've really got no idea why they didn't playlist it.

Posted by: danG 28th April 2017, 04:22 PM

My guess is 'Swalla' is too sexually suggestive for radio 1 to constantly play. They snubbed Cheat Codes 'Sex' for a similar reason.

Posted by: JosephStyles🐶 28th April 2017, 04:42 PM

I remember Scott mentioned a few years ago that they couldn't playlist Wiggle due to its lyrical content so I expect it's the same with this!

The lyrics are more innuendo than actually sexually suggestive though? It's certainly no worse than some of the stuff on Innuendo Bingo lol

Posted by: 360Jupiter 28th April 2017, 04:53 PM

I'm really surprised Gaga's being snubbed, she may not be flavour of the month any more, but she's got a huge LGBT fanbase, something I'dve thought Radio 1 would be chasing

Posted by: J▲hq 28th April 2017, 04:54 PM

The Derulo song is shit, I think that is probably why they aren't playlisting it.

Posted by: tommie 28th April 2017, 08:22 PM

Once Radio 1 snubs you it's really hard to get into their good graces again. That's just the way they operate - they've deemed GaGa irrelevant, so...
