Number 10 in today's midweeks.... only released yesterday instead of Sunday, not done a lot on ITunes/Amazon so either she sold a lot of downloads from her webpage or the DVD/2CD is counting to the album chart......

anyway..... this is great news...... lets hope a she can stay top 30.

Posted by: Regina 24th March 2015, 02:48 PM

Albums always come out on Mondays though. There must be some mistake regarding this. The digital album must be selling next to nothing and there is no way it's done
enough to be top 10. The DVD version will surely be seperated from it.

Posted by: SmileyKylie 24th March 2015, 02:54 PM

Digital album is 8.99 on her website £2 cheaper than ITunes/Amazon... Google play is 9.99. Her website does sell a lot as they have all the different combo's.... will be interesting to see what happens.

Posted by: Regina 24th March 2015, 03:21 PM

Her website deals with all countries though right? So only ones in the UK will count.

Posted by: SmileyKylie 24th March 2015, 03:26 PM

Yes.....

but remember Kylie fans want this album.... they want the 80's doll house medley, they want Need You Tonight... They want all the different versions and interpretations... the DVD was always going to do well it was just where is it going to be put.... and it seems album chart......

10th in midweeks must have sold over 3k? I just cant think she would sell that many on her website.... and ITunes/Amazon probably sold around 100 between them!! so I guess that CD/DVD combo is eligible .

Do they though? I've seen a lot less buzz for this tour than the last one.

DVD/Cd combos have never been eligible before though, have they? I dunno what's going on there.

Posted by: pippa 24th March 2015, 03:47 PM

I assume the sales will be split with some counting towards the album and some towards the dvd chart. I would have doubts it will have sold 3,000 copies, a number 10 in previous weeks has sold between eight and ten thousand for the entire week, with a top 5 midweek sale often at 5,000. It would be ideal if she managed to stay top 10 but i can see it dropping rapidly throughout the course of the week. Live albums are really for the hardcore fans and they are usually the only people who purchase them.

Posted by: SmileyKylie 24th March 2015, 03:58 PM

it will drop no doubt but it should easily stay top 40........5th today has sold 4.4k so 10th I presumed may have sold 2.5-3k

why split it now why not before?

A DVD/CD combo is eligible but there needs to be a stand alone CD usually that 80% matches the CD,

what does it say on the packaging.... are there different barcodes etc or just 1?

In the digital age, does the fact there is a digital only version of the album allow all versions to be eligible?
Afterall, the digital album is exactly the same as the physical versions except one has a DVD with the 2CDs, the other a Blu-Ray with the 2CDs

Posted by: SmileyKylie 24th March 2015, 04:47 PM

could well be the case.... I think I read rules from Jan 2013 so it may well have changed.... after all the 2 x CD is just as important as the DVD really..... on Amazon they don't know where to place it either....

I was sure it would chart on the dvd chart, but i am happy to see her on the album chart, i hope it can hold top 30 by the end of the week. I love live albums especially by Kylie and i much prefer this to the original album which still disappoints me to this day.

Posted by: Jay ジ 25th March 2015, 04:29 AM

Just under 2600 copies, 10% of which are digital.

Posted by: SmileyKylie 25th March 2015, 10:40 AM

Oh great news!!!! 2600 copies sold... I think then 3000 should be reached hopefully 3.5k. It is priced at 9.99 for DVD/CD which is excellent value. and done with no TV promo etc...

3010 copies where sold of the number 28 last week in Album charts.......and 2k sold of REM t get number 40.

I would do a download promo on google play/iTunes for a day this week for maybe 4.99 and grab some extra sales......

Posted by: pippa 25th March 2015, 11:20 AM

Top 40 is guaranteed, based on the sales achieved at this stage of the week. A further 2,000 sales would secure the album a top 20 position.

Posted by: SmileyKylie 25th March 2015, 11:22 AM

Has anyone streamed this album on Spotify yet? Anyone?

Posted by: Regina 25th March 2015, 02:08 PM

Not bought it yet, oops. Not got much desire to rush out for it either, the tour didn't look that good to me.

Posted by: liamk97 25th March 2015, 03:37 PM

#14 in today's update with 2.9k sold so far. That's over 300 copies since yesterday's update so, at this current rate, it is on track for 4.2k which would have seen it go Top 20 last Sunday (obviously I don't expect it to keep selling as it is throughout the week but 3.5k is certainly achievable.

Posted by: mr_aly 25th March 2015, 03:40 PM

So we're looking at probably like #29 or so? Not too bad if so.

Posted by: SmileyKylie 25th March 2015, 04:00 PM

#14 in today's midweeks.... keep that top 30 please

Regina - The Tour was the best part of the whole era... sounded vocally spot on....

That's hardly a ringing endorsement now is it?

Posted by: Aphrodite 25th March 2015, 11:03 PM

4.2k if she continues the way she is selling should be enough for it to get top 25, i was hoping it could stay top 20 but it is unlikely

When you are fighting against albums that are 99p, 1.99-3.99 it is tough.... but she should keep top 40.... those bargain albums can sell a lot......lets hope people go out on Saturday and buy from HMV

#20 in Friday's Midweeks

Posted by: Red Blooded Man 27th March 2015, 01:53 PM

Just watched it yesterday night, it was very enjoyable but the camera just keeps switching from dancers to Kylie all the time. Gosh, I want to the see Kylie not the dancers!

Posted by: Regina 27th March 2015, 04:00 PM

This album is so odd laugh.gif hearing her yell out "GLASGOW" is weird. Normally her lives album are Melbourne or London.

Timebomb live is eargasmic too. Oh, and, her vocals on YDNY were ON POINT

Posted by: liamk97 27th March 2015, 04:50 PM

I've been listening to the album on Spotify too, just got the last 6 tracks to go. I'm liking the dance vibes on all the tracks!

As mentioned, #20 on today's update, with 3.3k sold so far.

Posted by: Regina 27th March 2015, 04:54 PM

Nu-Di-Ty only 55 seconds ;__; although the way it connects Sexercise and Head is lush.

Posted by: SmileyKylie 27th March 2015, 10:21 PM

still 20. good. lets hope Saturday shoppers go to HMV and buy the DVD

17,265. Also, the Aphrodite Tour CD managed 5,870 despite its #72 debut (although this was during the Christmas period) which will be more than this has managed too.

Posted by: Aphrodite 29th March 2015, 07:27 PM

For a third live album it has done ok, sales will prob will around 3.5 but overall sales will probably be no more than 10,000.

Definitely! Here's the breakdown

#26 UK Albums Chart (#25 Sales Chart, #21 Physical Sales Chart, #96 Download Chart, not in streaming chart T100)

#19 Scottish Charts - probably helped by it being filmed there smile.gif

Good to see the lack of streaming didnt affect its peak position too much. Id love to know if any of the live tracks made the top 200 this week, i would think need you tonight may have.

Fellow Aussie Kylie Minogue's last live album Aphrodite Les Folies: Live In London - from the tour in support of number one studio album Aphrodite - peaked at a lowly number 72 towards the end of 2011 on seasonally inflated sales of 5,870 copies. Follow-up studio album, Kiss Me Once, reached number two last year, and from that tour comes the new Minogue concert selection, Kiss Me Once Live At The SSE Hydro, filmed at the Glasgow venue of that name last November. It opens at number 26 - significantly higher than Aphrodite Les Folies - but on lower sales of 3,821 copies. It is Minogue's 23rd chart album.

From Music Week. Sold 3,821 to debut at #26.
