Still here? Well, then it's my displeasure to bring you...

The rules are effectively the same as last time. For those who didn't participate in that contest, then in short, we're (obviously) looking for songs which are associated with Halloween or so inherently scary, spooky or frightening that it feels appropriate to be entered to this contest. There can be a fine line here so to make clear, songs which have a halloweeny word in the title (i.e. 'bad' 'blood' 'taylor' 'swift' (ok sorry had to x) etc.) will not automatically be considered as a Halloween entry. It might SONICALLY be Halloweeny. For example, if you find a song called Sunshine and Rainbows but sounds like a terrifying song about awful things then this would be ideal for this contest. But if it's a song called Stab Me Witch but is actually a super fun pop bop, then it is not appropriate for this contest. To help with the vetting process, you will be required to give an incredibly brief explanation of how your entry fits with the theme!

To make your confirmation, as usual, please follow the link to the google form. However, before you take the ill-advised step of committing your soul to eternal damnation by entering this cursed contest, please read the following rules which will apply in all cases:-

1. You must not enter anything which has charted in the top 10 of the UK Singles Chart.

2. Covers of well-known songs are allowed but only if they substantially differ from the original song.

3. It goes without saying, but you are not able to confirm a song that has previously been entered into either the main BJSC, a BJSC spin-off or Eurovision. We only want some originality here. Where is your artistic integrity? Please make sure you check back to the last Halloween spin-off so you do not confirm a song that has been sent previously.

4. As usual, you are precluded from entering any song by an artist with an artist forum on Buzzjack. We also reserve the right to veto any entries of artists with substantial followings on the site, so you have been warned if you decide to be a cheap little witch.

And that's the end of the limitations...not too many, imo. There's still plenty of options out of there.

In other nauseating news, this spin-off will be subject to a vicious veto panel made up of lay members rather than the BJSC mods. This panel will consist of me, Jacob and Jade...a truly terrifying trio won't you agree :x

The deadline to confirm will be Tuesday 30 October at 11:59pm! Voting will commence on all hallows eve itself (which is only fitting).......good luck, you'll need it to survive this nightmare
