Will Adele's Easy On Me continue its run at #1? Busy week on the singles front with Post Malone & The Weeknd teaming up on One Right Now, Travis Scott's double release ESCAPE PLAN / MAFIA and a likely high debut for ArrDee's Flowers (Say My Name). A few of Summer Walker's tracks could pop up too, plus there's new singles from Silk Sonic, Charli XCX, Foals, Tiesto/Ava Max, Little Mix and Slipknot
ABBA's first album in 40 years Voyage is on course for a big opening at #1. We could see big debuts for Summer Walker's new album Still Over It, James Arthur's It'll All Make Sense In The End and Radiohead's KID A MNESIA, plus there's new releases from Diana Ross, Gregory Porter, Bullet For My Valentine, Snail Mail, Parcels and Katy B

Looking like ABBA might end up doing even less sales than Ed which will come as a shock to many, including myself.
Rooting for them though, and hope Summer Walker can clinch the #2 spot!
In singles, I’m rooting for another week at #1 for EOM.
Adele 200k max
Abba have preorders confirmed of above 110k so I can’t say how they will do less than Sheeran this week.
Adele will clearly do anything over 300k this is Adele, a decline in market really does not affect her, when will
People actually learn that Adele has her own standards, she isn’t on the same level as Ed or Abba, she is a class of her own!
Yeah I think estimations for Adele’s opening week sales need to be reigned in a little bit. It should still be best opening of the year though.
ABBA will smash!
This is dj cheeky magpie here from 6pm with this week chart show update
I wasn't here last week because I was in my dad's but I'm here this week.
Radio 1 hot record
Arrdee flowers (say my name)
20 new summer walker feat sza no love
New entry is a good way to start.
19 up 1 switchort feat a1 j1 coming for you
I’m actually surprised by how much I like this A1/J1 track.
18 up 8 clean bandit topic feat Wes Nelson drive
Run 20 seconds behind on bbc sounds app hope done ok so far
17 new travis Scott escape plan
16 down 2 doja cat woman
New entries and climbers so far great to see!
15 up 4 dermot Kennedy better days
14 up 1 Ewan mcvicar tell me something good
Hope Ewan is a climber on Friday.
Hope Tell Me Something Good can reach Top 10!
Presuming Radio 1 thought it'd be a little on the nose to play a Travis Scott song titled 'ESCAPE PLAN' right now :x
13 down 1 lil nas x that’s what I want
12 down 2 the anxiety willow Tyler Cole meet me at our spot
11 non-mover becky hill & topic my heart goes (li di da)
Anxiety always climbs during week so hope it stays top 10
10 up 3 Coldplay bts my universe
Becky to probably get a 4th week at #11 after this and MMAOS swap places
09 down 1 central cee obsessed with you
08 down 1 glass animals heat waves
07 down 1 ckay love nwantiti (ah ah ah)
Must be last week top 10 for Glass Animals as going on ACR
Need a clear out in the Top 10.
06 new arrdee flowers (say my name)
05 down 1 Ed Sheeran overpass graffiti
Was just wondering how 'My Universe' was climbing but I forgot it was at #9 in the First Look chart last week so I guess it will probably fall over the week again.
Stuck with Bad Habits static in the Top 5 for three weeks now.
Adele is CONSIDERABLY more popular than Ed Sheeran. No way she's doing 200k or anything close to what he opened to.
Curious about Abba's numbers though.
04 up 1 Elton John & dua lipa cold heart
03 non-mover Ed Sheeran bad habits
Overpass Graffiti has grown on me considerably. It’s quite possibly my favourite Ed song at this point.
2 non-movers gone...
(not that much of a surprise, but could make for a decent chart battle again)
Sunday update top 20
20 new summer walker feat sza no love
19 up 1 switchort feat a1 j1 coming for you
18 up 8 clean bandit topic feat Wes Nelson drive
17 new travis Scott escape plan
16 down 2 doja cat woman
15 up 4 dermot Kennedy better days
14 up 1 Ewan mcvicar tell me something good
13 down 1 lil nas x that’s what I want
12 down 2 the anxiety willow Tyler Cole meet me at our spot
11 non-mover becky hill & topic my heart goes (li di da)
10 up 3 Coldplay bts my universe
09 down 1 central cee obsessed with you
08 down 1 glass animals heat waves
07 down 1 ckay love nwantiti (ah ah ah)
06 new arrdee flowers (say my name)
05 down 1 Ed Sheeran overpass graffiti
04 up 1 Elton John & dua lipa cold heart
03 non-mover Ed Sheeran bad habits
02 down 1 Adele easy on me
01 up 1 Ed Sheeran shivers
Suspect Adele will almost certainly clinch the #1 by the end of the week again. She’s still ahead on Spotify and Apple Music, even during the weekend which is the worst time for EOM in terms of streaming.
Will be close though.
Singles chart so boring at the minute.
Ed Sheeran is up against Adele once again for this week’s Number 1 single on the Official Chart: First Look, one week after releasing his now chart-topping album = (Equals).
Ed’s smash hit Shivers is at the top of today’s first look, but with just 500 chart sales between Shivers and reigning Number 1 Easy On Me by Adele, it’s all to play for.
Currently tracking to be the highest new entry on this week’s chart, Brighton rapper ArrDee is at Number 6 with Flowers (Say My Name). Interpolating Sweet Female Attitude’s Flowers and Destiny’s Child’s Say My Name, the song is set to become ArrDee’s third Top 10 single in the UK.
Further down, Travis Scott is at 17 with Escape plan, while Clean Bandit, Topic and Wes Nelson climb eight spots to Number 18 on the First Look with Drive – a new peak for the song if it can hold on until Friday’s Official Singles Chart.
Finally, Summer Walker & SZA team up for No Love (20) from Summer’s new album Still Over It. If it stays on track it will mark Summer Walker’s highest charting single to date, and SZA’s fifth Top 20 single.

Thank you tune in this dj cheeky magpie sign off
Really strong start for Arr Dee!
Thanks for doing this Everton, good job!
Funnily enough it’s between Ed and Adele for tomorrow’s Billboard US Top 100 too but there ‘Bad Habits’ is finally predicted to get to no.1
'Bad Habits' at #1 in the US would also make it 3 #1s in a row for British artists over there! Anyone know when the last time that happened was?
July 1986 had 4 UK artists in a row at no.1 in the US - Billy Ocean, Simply Red, Peter Gabriel and Genesis at no.1. Couldn’t see any in late 80s and didn’t think worth checking anything later as UK artists did pretty badly overall.
9 of the UK top 10 pretty good too even if 3 by same artist - know that prob end up 8 with Coldplay dropping and Anxiety climbing by Friday
It'll still be the first time for a long time that there have even been 2 US #1s in a row by British artists - the last time was 'Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me'/'I'm Too Sexy' in February 1992. (Although more recently 'We Found Love' had its second run at #1 ended by 'Set Fire To The Rain' so that was the last time a song with a British artist on it was knocked off #1 by another one, but 'Sexy And I Know It' was #1 between the two chronologically).
Cold Heart for US #1!
I don't know when it went on sale, but the cassette single of 'Easy On Me' is now available to buy from Adele's online store. I had checked a few days ago and it was still showing as not yet being available. £5 for a few minutes of music is a bit steep though.
I really don’t know anyone gives any credit to the Billboard charts as it includes airplay. IMO a chart should just consist of streams and sales.
Really looking forward to abba sales info today

Is bullet for My Valentine At 8 got 2 7
118K is a decent start for ABBA, especially since theres missing data
same for Radiohead
Let’s hope that Rina finally gets a week in the top 100.
Why is Blue Banisters top 10 again?
118K? Can it make to 150K?
118k is either good or a bit disappointing, depends on how much sales data is missing.
I think Olivia is safe for YE after Abba too.
I don’t think ABBA were ever the main threat to Olivia!
Abba 34k higher than ed was this time last week.
oh those Blue Banisters vinyl variants that couldn't be shipped on release week!!!!!
That's good to see Diana Ross in the top 10 albums.
Wet Wet Wet top 40 too, love the name of their former record company on the 80s and 90s chart archive, 'Precious Organisation' (although I think they have changed record company now).
OCC article says ABBA currently outselling the rest of the Top 40 combined.
I’ve given up worrying too much about their numbers now they’re safely in 6 figures anyway; the fact they’ve done it with an original album in my lifetime is amazing enough.
Singles:
#70 Mariah Carey - All I Want for Christmas is You
#90 Wham! - Last Christmas
Mariah should make it by the end of the week but I imagine Wham! will miss.
Seventeen Going Under down to #93. Fingers crossed for a reset and top 40 return
Singles bubblin under:
42 Abba - When You Danced With Me *
46 Acraze feat. Cherish - Do It To It
48 Amaarae feat. Moliy - Sad Girlz Luv Money
49 Silk Sonic - Smoking Out the Window *
51 Benson Boone - Ghost Town
54 Lost Frequencies feat. Calum Scott - Where Are You Now
62 Tiësto & Ava Max - The Motto *
70 Mariah Carey - All I Want for Christmas Is You ^
75 Jason Derulo - Acapulco
76 Westlife - My Hero *
78 Foals - Wake Me Up *
90 Wham - Last Christmas ^
91 Skepta & Fumez the Engineer - Plugged In *
92 BoyWithUke - Toxic *
96 James Arthur - Emily ^
100 Charli XCX feat. Christine and the Queens & Caroline Polachek - New Shapes *
The 3 Abba tracks will drop way down by Friday plus I would expect the Summer Walker and Travis Scott album songs to drop a fair bit as well, so I would say all the songs in the 40-50 region still have a chance of making the top 40 by Friday.
Ross from Friends sneaking into the top 100 albums *.*
Shivers widening the gap ever so slightly?
Biggest surprise is massive drop in Sheeran’s album sales. Great news re. Abba!
OT, but Voyage is the fastest-selling album in German music history. The first album to sell over 200K on its first day of release.
Do you guys that have access ti the data know if Adele-Easy on Me has physical sales and how much?
I'm here for Acraze purely for the novelty of Cherish getting another top 40 hit *_* (the original Do It To It deserved much more!)
There are still 8,000 people out there willing to buy a James Arthur album?
^That was the shock of the week this week I agree
ABBA breakdown:
'Bad Habits' was actually only #4 on the Hot 100 in the end. So yeah, the predictions are nowhere near as accurate as they used to be.
Abbas sales disappointing but still great compared to the norm but interesting to see where they end up. The last two weeks shows the market has changed completely now even for the biggest artists. Adele will still likely laugh in the face of that but matching the figures for 25 is probably out of the question!
Hope Adele manages a 4th week at number one in the singles.
Little mix have just released a teaser for “No” Comes out Friday
Oh wow, didn't even notice Rina there.
Does she have any hope of remaining top 40 with all those albums below her that will inevitably fall?
High debut for Between Us
And great start for Abba but I don't see it doing more than 150k because of streaming
ABBA!
Outselling the rest of the Top 40 combined and people were using the word flop about this over the weekend! Amazing.
Hope The Motto by Tiesto & Ava Max can climb before the end of the week.
Nice to see Drive still on course for Top 20.
Amazing sales for ABBA (especially in Germany omg). It's a shame a lot of the pre-orders couldn't be shipped out on time. But in saying that - if they get shipped in the next few weeks that might help their sales stay pretty stable! Really hoping they'll be able to cross 200k this week - maybe more depending on how much missing data there is/how much they sell each day.I do think they'll pick up a lot of casual buyers (more so than Ed did).
Speaking of Ed, his sales have dropped a bit more than I expected. Although there will be missing data. Hopefully he'll manage 40k by the end of the week. That'll be ~70% drop, which is kind of the norm nowadays I guess with frontloaded vinyl sales etc? I'm sure his sales will pick up once again as we near Christmas.
Also, OMG Rina in the top 40! I hope she stays but she will likely fall out. Hopefully she's done enough to secure a top 100 placing. I'll go give her albums a few streams to help. Would love to see her debut album finally chart. One of my favourite albums of last year!
It’ll be interesting to where Abba are once any missing data is added. They could get to 150k depending on how much is missing, I feel like given physical cds arent around so much these days in shops, that could be their downfall. Still amazing for a band that haven’t released an album for 40 years.
Ed really has collapsed, I’m beginning to think Taylor has a shot at no1 next week now which initially I thought she wouldn’t stand a chance.
Yes, very that! I only singled them out as it was a direct reply to that post about them.
Voyage's 115k is already the highest weekly pure sale since Divide in 2017. '=' held that title for 3 days!
Lol calling Westlife very brave with their releases... when in singles the label was always picking the easiest zero competition weeks and 75% of their #1s were fluke non#1s
Why are people saying ABBA have missing data, a sale not counting till it dispatches is a fallacy. We've seen it so many times recently where people aren't getting dispatches but the sales have clearly already counted. The Spice Girls Spice re-release was clearly as case of that last week. As soon as money has cleared it can be reported as a sale I'm sure.
If that was the case then the sales that have pushed Lana into the top 10 in today's update would have counted 2 weeks ago surely
That post wasn't even about Ed? Lol
How is Jesy Nelson still as high as #30? Her streaming support has collapsed and she's well outside the top 100 on Spotify.
I’m in an ABBA FB group and there are some strange stories at the moment about pre-orders being cancelled completely due to a fire at a vinyl plant. The mind boggles… but anyway at least it suggests there might be some more sales to come either this week or later. I think I’ll buy a copy actually after initially just planning to stream it - I don’t have a CD player anymore but can listen to it at my parents’ over Christmas.
Biggest shock of the week for me is that Joel Corry's "I Wish" is set to be still be outside the Top 20 on Week 2!!
Abba has missing data. The money for the picture discs has only been taken from my account today after the warehouse fire held their dispatch up. There's no fallacy about it.
Speaking of dispatch delays, apparently the reason 'Bad Habits' wasn't #1 on the Hot 100 this week as predicted was because the CD shipments had been delayed lol. So it still might get there whenever they do get dispatched, but this week was probably its best chance since it did have at least a bit of a streaming boost from his album release.
Ed being generous enough to allow Adele a third week at the Hot 100 #1
(I know this is kind of off topic but it was being discussed in this thread anyway)
It's crazy that these days one stan tweet can affect the predictions and expectations so much. What a bizarre world... there was never any proper info around.
Anyway, seems that Abba's sales can be pretty much anything this week and Ed is doing a bit better than I thought, maybe 45k on Friday.
Would be great if Between Us stayed top 40 but highly unlikely shame, if the rumors are true it would make the perfect last single for them
Hope ABBA get another Top 40 single!
I got my blue vinyl of Voyage no problems on Saturday by post……..
I believe that it is the green/white vinyls that have been delayed…
Looks like Taylor is going all out for sales next week, she's put up signed CDs on her store.
Taylor made a TON of signed CDs available (UK Only), more than she has with any other album, snatch that #1.
https://storeuk.taylorswift.com/*/*/RED-TAYLOR-S-VERSION-SIGNED-CD-EXPLICIT-UK-ONLY/78DY0000000
It would be nice to see Taylor continue her #1 album streak in the UK. And Red was bigger here than Fearless, so I would assume it'd do better generally speaking.
I don’t believe in these tricks to get #1. I also find it majorly disrespectful to fans to encourage them to buy multiple copies of your album. It shows the little regard with which she holds her fans as far as I’m concerned.
Just nabbed a signed CD. It’s good you didn’t have to buy an expensive bundle to get a Taylor auto
Annoying we didn't get any sales info today. Really curious how ABBA are doing daily now.
No update which is disappointing.
To be fair Westlife did some good head to head battles with albums and managed to get the number 1 and a good chart battle i think benefits sales as encourages people who are on the fence to go out and buy an album, im not so sure if people buy into chart battles as much anymore but they are enjoyable when they happen especially if the artist you are supporting wins the battle.
ABBA Tuesday update - 168,591. Wow!
It’s now outsold Ed’s album, which is on 27,337 this week which takes his total to 166,459. (139,107 first week sales but its total was 139,122).
Shivers (32,834) is only 305 sales ahead of Easy on Me (32,529).
50k sales for Abba since the last update is really really good, 200k looks very achievable now.
Wow for ABBA! Curious as to how many sales were late orders being shipped and what was genuine sales sold yesterday.
Should be reasonably close to 200k by end of week regardless though if not more.
Id love if they could reach 200k as 200k in todays climate is just huge.
Wow great update for Abba, looking likely for 200k and Ed could get to 50k at number two fantastic stuff!
Wow, that's amazing! 200k seems almost a certainty now. Incredible.
Amazing for ABBA!

Amazing for ABBA! I wonder how much of that was more pre-orders being added vs actual sales. I would think they are on track to pass 200k quite comfortably when missing data is added + 3 days of sales left to go. I wonder how much of an impact Sainsburys has nowadays with CDs. I assume there'll be stands for the album in the big ones.
Adele looks likely to get a 4th week at number 1 great top 3 album sales and it's great to see.
Oh, Adele is absolutely getting the #1 this week. She’s #1 on Apple Music, Spotify, and Amazon. She’s also closed the gap on itunes.
She couldn’t have asked for better from this song really. I really like the song, but I didn’t expect it to still be number 1 in both the UK and US by the time the album was released, but it’s looking like an almost certainty now.

28k vinyl is huge! Is that the fastest selling vinyl of the 21st century in the UK??
^yes, previous highest was 24,478 for Arctic Monkeys’ last studio album in 2018.
That's great for Abba, more than I thought
Incredible for ABBA!
And would love for Diana Ross to hold onto the top 10 by Friday too!
Um, WOW!! ABBA!! This is an extremely impressive return after 40 years
wow at those sales and especially 28K on vinyls already on Tue mids, unbelievable
I think thats the only way now when acts can get huge first week, if you have a hardcore fanbase that will buy multiformats
Pleased to see the ABBA sales blowing up a bit. Much closer to my expectations for this album. Will be great if it can break 200k for the week.
Can’t see Adele not getting a fourth week with that small a margin. Would quite like to see it hold out up to album release. Also pleased My Universe is stabilised. After being initially underwhelmed by the song, I now love it.
and James Arthur over 10K! really thought the album was gonna bomb as he didn't have a top40 hit this time
WOW.....168,591 sales so far with 3 days sales still to go for ABBA is incredible. and to think some of you were saying this comeback album was a flop, I don't hear you singing anymore!
I think they will easily sell over 200K now and it wouldn't surprise me at all if this was the Christmas No1 album.
Abba have already shown Ed what they are capable of in terms of sales and I think Adele needs to keep look over her shoulder too.
f*** me.
If you'd told me two weeks ago that ABBA would obliterate Ed's first week, I absolutely wouldn't have believed you.
ABBA <3 There’s something very fairytale-esque about four Swedish 70-somethings picking up where they left off 40 years ago and topping the charts with ease, smashing the sales of the biggest contemporary artist of the last five years out of the park.
They transcended it majorly but the point still stands that it’s not been too bad a year for Eurovision winners in the UK charts!
Fantastic sales for ABBA - even without all the other formats, 118k CDs is more than the pure weekly sales of any album since 2017!
(They might fall short of Ed's 19.1k downloads last week, but I think Adele will beat that anyway.)
Happy for ABBA sales.
For me it's a sign that people still need a good music.
Their album is just better than current pop music.
Woah ABBA!
Great to see Miss Ross the Boss climbing into the top 5. I wonder if stores are stocking her and ABBA close together, helping her pick up some casual sales?
Sales are okay. Spice Girls would do better, as they did with their GH.
ABBA’s album is run of the mill and anyone pretending otherwise really needs to have a word with themselves. It’s a good album but let’s not pretend that it’s the creme de la creme. It’s an enjoyable pop album by a 70’s pop band, just with aged vocals.
I’m happy that they are doing such huge numbers as I’m a fan but there’s really no need for the snobbery.
Hope Garbage can stay top 40 with the album
surely a lot of data must have been missing from Abba?
James Arthur managing over 10k is a great achievement for him also, should manage at least 15k.
Phenomenal to see Abba with such impressive sales.
Predictions for next week's new releases Red, Between Us and An Evening With Silk Sonic?
^there is already a thread for that...
http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=249355
The ABBA album is generally lacklustre with some decent moments however it’s great to have them back encouraging people to buy vinyl and CD again. Those massive pre sales all filtering through is a welcome benefit through the week too as let’s face it, they were always going in at 1 even with the despatch issues.

NO OTHER SALES INFO
Didn't expect ABBA to increase with 12k+ sales at this point
Looks like it'll clear 200k at this point.
Does Ed have the biggest sales for a #2 placement album this year?
ABBA adding another 13k today then which tracks better with their increase between Saturday and Monday. (Would sammy01 like to explain how they went from doing 12.5k-ish per day for 2 days, then 50k the following day, then 13k again the day after that, if it's not for the fact that late dispatches don't get counted until they are dispatched ) Looks like they'll be decently clear of 200k for the week especially if there are still more late dispatches to come (do we have any anecdotal evidence of that? x)
Nice to see Joel and Mabel sneaking into the top 20.
It’ll be interesting to see Ed’s final week sales and wether they’ll remain high over the next few weeks or if it’s peoples orders coming later.
I don't think Ed has been having shipping issues (he was only missing sales in the early update last week because all of HMV's Friday data was missing for some reason).
He was doing around 8k per day for most of last week and added 6.3k yesterday so not a massive drop on a daily level. For the whole week he'll be down a lot because all of the pre-orders went to last week of course. But he probably isn't going to continue plummeting next week.
My final 4 late dispatches arrived today. That's my 12 sale contributions until the reissues come out. Never doubted ABBA would poop rings round Sheeran. This is ABBA for crying out loud.
So excited at the thought of an album breaking 200k again finally, great to see. Also Ed could get close enough to 50k probably most likely 45k but still decent second week.
wow incredible, very close to 200K now
Peeped the thread for an improvement in the discussion and that hasn't happened so byeee
The ABBA sales would have even been impressive 10 years ago!
ABBA are absolutely killing it!
I predicted 200-250k sales so glad it looks like it is going to happen
Good to see Silk Sonic enter the Top 40 today. It's a shame Don't Shut Me Down dropped out but that was inevitable... two months late with this observation, but it was only the 4th Abba single to enter in the Top 10, after Take A Chance On Me (entered at #10), Chiquitita (#8) and The Winner Takes It All (also #9).
He should get to around 50k for the week (maybe slightly under) at the rate he's currently increasing. I would have guessed that ABBA would have lower second week sales than Ed regardless of if they beat his first week sales or not (just because of streaming/physical splits etc.) but they'd need to drop off quite a lot from their current 13k-per-day status quo for that to be the case now! They might well manage to stay ahead of Ed for the rest of the year now (but Ed is surely still bound to overtake them eventually, probably January at the latest, their strong casual physical sales can't last forever).
My final 5 vinyls also got dispatched today, so I imagine there might be another decent haul of pre-orders to come in.
13K more for Abba is good, nice to see the script back in the top 30 aswell.
With everyone finding out about their 15th version being dispatched, I’m beginning to wonder if only about 40,000 people have bought ABBA’s album
Little Mix to overhaul ABBA sales next week, love to see it
I seriously don't get why people would buy several copies of an album with competely indentical content.. are you selling them forward? It's so bizarre. I can understand cd & vinyl of course, they are different formats.
I don't think there's a single act I'd buy more than one version of an album by, even if different formats or a slightly different tracklist. If I did somehow manage to be persuaded it'd be for a small act where an extra copy might make a difference.
I’ve got multiple variants of quite a few albums but never quite so many at once as some people on here do. I have got both the red Kid A Mnesia vinyl and the cream version on order too. Plus I already own both original albums on vinyl and 2 CD versions too.
Great to see ABBA adding another 10k+ a day. I think they'll have a really strong second week - possibly near 100k if they do well on the weekend. I expect a lot of people will pick up the album as a Christmas present when out shopping.
The only things I own multiples of are when they are on completely different formats (CD, Vinyl, Download etc...) I really don't see the point of buying four different vinyls for example that contain the exact same music other than for the obvious purpose of driving up chart sales and as much as i'm invested in the charts and my faves doing well to a degree, not to the point that I can throw that much money away on it.
Also great to see Ed's sales picking up a bit. He may end up closer to 50k than 40k come Friday! I can see his sales holding steady/increasing as we get to Christmas.
back in the day it was nicer being a collector
like if Tori Amos released a single, there would be a CD1 with 3 B-sides, a CD2 with different cover and 3 more b.sides, then a 7", a 12"
then in the US it would be a different CD with different b.sides, and there also promo CDs, and German CDs, so it was definitely nicer than now
I don't see the appeal of collecting all colour variants of a vinyl... I just pick the one I like the most and I get that one,
but I know there are many people that track them and collect them all
Like Taylor did 16 different vinyls for Folklore and sure some bought them all and it was just different covers
and it's quite big for little indie artists too
If it makes someone happy to buy multiple variants and it's not hurting anyone I don't see what the problem is.
But then if there is a general shortage of vinyl units, it's quite funny if some people buy 15 and some fail to get one. I would consider setting a limit, like 5/person or sth.
I just find it funny how some record stores are boycotting Adele’s 30 for printing 500k, but are silent on certain artists and bands printing countless vinyl variations of the same album. ABBA has already sold over 30,000 vinyls this week alone in the U.K., so god knows how many they’ve sold worldwide. So I don’t get why some record stores are trying to make Adele the boogeyman here. It’s not like she’s doing loads of different vinyl variations of the same album to the extent others are doing. She’s merely making sure there’s enough supply by estimating potential demand.
I’m not saying she’s totally in the right, but I don’t agree with making her the boogeyman at all.
Also some colour variants are difficult to find cos they are very limited, like only 500 copies
All indie artists are doing this and a limited new version disappears in a matter of seconds
for instance, I know there's this indie female singer-songwriter called Julien Baker
who is like zero zero famous and from her debut album there have been 24 different colour variants alreaady!
https://www.discogs.com/master/914052-Julien-Baker-Sprained-Ankle
and same for Phoebe Bridgers there have been 11 different colour variants since release
and there's like oh now this week we are releasing an Opaque Gold Nugget (Urban Outfitters Exclusive) only 500 and sells out in 5 minutes
According to a Facebook poster who claims to be in the know, on the UK Chart page, Voyage has passed 200k UK sales in the last few hours.
I like ABBA's album. I was expecting it to be mostly cobbled together reworked scraps from the cutting room floor (like 'Just a Notion' was) so was surprised to find it's quite a solid, enjoyable album with some classic ABBA moments on it.
I mean, not their best by any means but lots to enjoy. The only one I don't at least vaguely is 'Bumblebee' and perhaps the Christmas carol.
Anyone knows if Westlife’s My Hero is anywhere close to top 100?
Imagine the sales for the ABBA album, if it was actually good! I agree Don’t Shut Me Down / I Still Have Faith In You was the best the album had to offer.
Erm, hello. Keep An Eye On Dan (!), When You Danced With Me, I Can Be That Woman, No Doubt About It
Off topic but I absolutely love the album. It’s true that if you’re after more rousing pop like Don’t Shut Me Down you will likely be disappointed. It’s much more of a subtle, introspective work that needs quite a lot of listens I think.
Anyway, given they’ve probably passed 200k I’ve said everyone should now leave their purchases until tomorrow when they’re more needed!
Adele back to number one we love to see it
'Drive' becoming such a belated top 20 hit for Clean Bandit is strange to see, especially given it hasn't had that much support.
It's just the opposite, in the beginning it wasn't supported much by Spotify and it was low top 40
then suddenly they moved it into the top 10 on HH a couple weeks ago and thats why its a bigger hit now
the opposite of organic, totally playlist-induced, and with heavy support now
Plus the Drill Remix was released last Friday which has gave it that final push to go top 20 (although the drill remix is nowhere to be seen in the Spotify and Apple Music top 200)
Connan Mockasin's album Jassbusters Two, was released last Friday. Toying with getting it. His Forever Dolphin Love album is I think a masterpiece.
Arrrggghhh! The frustration of no update. Hope the rumour of Voyage sailing (see what I did there?) past 200k is true
I would say it is 99% certain it’ll pass 200k
Fingers crossed abba can hit 200k.
Been get Tuesday Thursday update after 11.30pm
I can’t see how they wouldn’t be at 200k by now given they were at 181k by the Wednesday update which doesn’t include Wednesday sales.
I invite everyone to read my post from September 2nd, just after Voyage was announced and before any pre-order info was revealed. I managed to predict the future!

I didn't think James Arthur's new album would be ahead of Radiohead and new streaming sensation Summer Walker but there you go!
By my reckoning, that level of progress means that ABBA may fall just short.
*cue meltdowns*
ed looking likely of managing around 45k this week
Considering none of their own store exclusives will ship until the end of November, I'm pretty impressed by Radiohead managing 10K
Only album Christmas is Michael buble
not the bestest update for ABBA
but will be an amazing result even if they finish at 199K
Becky at #11 again then.
Silk Sonic up 10 places since yesterday!
I think all the "red" Radiohead vinyls haven't shipped, which were the ones that mot hardcore fans were after
Surely Abba will do the 10k needed now for 200,000 plus they will have at least a couple of streams to be added, i know its the strictly affect which will wear off but good to see the Scripts greatest hits climbing.
Is griff one night is get any close top 40
Amazing result for ABBA. If ABBA "only" manage 200K (in quotes, because I know we all had higher expectations), I'd be very surprised if Adele crosses 250K.
A bit of a dropoff for ABBA's daily sales today although I'm sure they will still find a way to sneak past 200k much like Coldplay managed to get over 100k when it looked like they might be falling just short.
Considering how low it debuted on Spotify that Silk Sonic song has made impressive progress over the week, looks like it might end up debuting pretty close to where 'Leave The Door Open' did (and surely on course to outpeak it next week at this rate especially with the album dropping)!
Good to see the very underrated band Christmas finally getting some album chart success <3
I hope ABBA do clear 200K but it will be a great achievement to get so close either way
Radiohead have done very well.
Abba coming for that 199,998 sale and yeah it's great to see Christmas's long-awaited eponymous debut album on course for a top 30 entry!
Will Christmas be releasing any cassettes?
Glad to see Radiohead breaking the 10k mark!
Hope in Adele’s week the preorders and everything come at once so we can accurately see the daily amounts!
Yeah it won't be too hard for it to be a bigger hit than 'Leave The Door Open' in the UK but that song was wayyy bigger in the US than it was here. That said, 'Smokin Out The Window' is #1 on US Spotify now which apparently 'Leave The Door Open' never managed (peaking at #2) and with the amount of traction it's gaining so quickly it's not crazy to imagine that it might be a similar level hit in the US. Its release has actually been pretty much perfectly timed for the 2022 end of year charts in the US as well since the tracking year for some inexplicable reason starts in mid November.
Probably no Surprise, But ABBA have debuted at Number 1 in Australia
Billboard heavily skewed its formula in favour of this song. It wasn't even top 10 on any streaming platforms the week it stole #1 from Levitating, only went #1 because Billboard randomly increased the weight of airplay
Proof?
