...and we let's kick of the WORLD CUP OF TV DRAMAS properly with our first two groups!
In Group A, we have two big Netflix favourites in dark anthology Black Mirror and an 80s sci-fi homage Stranger Things. We also have two of the biggest and most successful UK TV dramas of the last few years with mystery detective Broadchurch and thriller The Night Manager. Then, we have two female dominated shows in mother & daughter led Gilmore Girls and teen mystery Pretty Little Liars.
Which are your favourites? Pick max of TWO to progress to the next round! Deadline is 22:00 Monday 15th October!
Has to be Black Mirror & Broadchurch!
Stranger Things & The Night Manager were very good but the first series of Broadchurch was outstanding, and the other two were also very good! Black Mirror is a series I’m obsessed with and has shown some BRILLIANT stories!
I’m going for Black mirror and Gilmore girls!
Never got around to Broadchurch or The Night Manager so Black Mirror and Stranger Things for me
Broadchurch & PLL for me!
Loved the first couple of seasons of Pretty Little Liars but I'm voting Black Mirror and Stranger Things
Black Mirror/Stranger Things quite easily~
Black Mirror & Stranger Things, both outstanding! Broadchurch would have been my third choice - superb first series, middling second series and I didn't get around to watching its final series yet. ;o
Black Mirror only for me. Not seen the others
Stranger things
Black Mirror and PLL!
I vote for Broadchurch (based on first series, before it turned to crap).
You have until 10pm to vote! Looking very close for that second qualifier!
Black Mirror and Stranger Things with Broadchurch a very close third.
Black Mirror has had some outstanding episodes and shown us some incredibly interesting AU scenarios. Standout episode has to be 'San Junipero' and its' rare happy ending.
Stranger Things had a massive first season with so many great performances and a thrilling storyline. Best of all was the soundtrack which really drove home the feel of the 80s.
Broadchurch takes third place mainly because despite its' amazing and chilling first season the second season was not quite as compelling and the third season hardly held me at all. If the show had ended after the first season it would have been much harder denying this a spot.
I went for Gilmore Girls. It's an all time fave
