starts tonight on ITV Drama series based upon Gerald Durrell's trilogy of Corfu memoirs, including My Family and Other Animals. In 1935, beleaguered mother Louisa Durrell is struggling to cope with her four unruly children - 21-year-old Larry, 18-year-old Leslie, 17-year-old Margo and 11-year-old Gerry. Much to Larry's bemusement, Louisa takes his flippant advice and makes a radical change by whisking her family away to the sun-drenched island of Corfu. With money worries a constant threat, will the family survive in this untamed paradise? |
