2 Jess Glynne - I'll Be There (13.4k)
YESs Glynne! cheer.gif Reckon this has a good chance of being a future official #1 especially if Calvin is going to ACR next week (seems likely).

Good to see The 1975 firmly in the top 20, strong comeback single for them. Also good to see AJ Tracey/Not3s and J Hus set to go top 40 and I suppose we'll see some Kanye West in there too when the streaming data catches up.

Posted by: pippa Jun 4 2018, 03:54 PM

Tom Walker, The 1975, 5 Seconds of Summer and Dappy all doing good on the chart at this point.

I am surprised Dappy looks with even a chance of a 2nd week in the Top 40.

Posted by: Cqmerqn Jun 4 2018, 03:57 PM

I reckon 2002 will end up at #2 by Friday!

Posted by: Mart!n Jun 4 2018, 04:11 PM

Great climb from Tom Walker... will be losing AJ Tracey, J Hus and 5SOS by the end of the week. Maroon 5 should just make it I suppose.

Another week for The Greatest Showman drama.gif

Hopefully it will- was thinking it wouldn't have a chance with One Kiss still being massive and Drake's album coming later this month, but it could go to #1 next week smile.gif

They seem to be just loitering outside the 40 at the moment. I didn't even know he had an album coming out laugh.gif

Wonderful that Kylie remains Top 40 with Golden.
I was expecting her to be outside the Top 40 in the update.

Massive fall for Biffy Clyro this week and Morcheeba struggling to chart with yet another album.
It would be good if it manages a Top 100 placement on Friday.

Just discovered today that Answerphone was going to be hit by ACR. Meh! I dont like it. angel.gif

OMG at Paradise STILL top 10. drama.gif

Posted by: d22ghj Jun 4 2018, 04:59 PM

Because Spotify and Apple Music is missing, does that mean Ye will be number 1 ?

Posted by: SKOB Jun 4 2018, 06:00 PM

So basically Ye has 1 day of streaming here and #7. It'll climb

Posted by: WhoOdyssey Jun 4 2018, 06:02 PM

I think I'm the only one that still loves Paradise. tongue.gif

It will be great to (hopefully) see him have two top 10 singles.

Doesn't it depend on if the sales decline 3 weeks on the trot or something

Posted by: danG Jun 4 2018, 06:39 PM

If 'One Kiss's sales decline this week then it will be on ACR next week. Same goes for 'Nice For What' (which means it could potentially be going 16-OUT-20 when his album drops drama.gif)

Posted by: WhoOdyssey Jun 4 2018, 06:42 PM

As much as I quite like One Kiss, it's been #1 for far too long.

Posted by: danG Jun 4 2018, 06:46 PM

Has it really though? It's undeniably been the most popular track of the week for the past 8 weeks. I'd rather we have long running #1s than "non-#1s" and "fake #1s".

Posted by: Dobbo Jun 4 2018, 06:48 PM

So if One Kiss does indeed hit ACR next week (which seems incredibly likely) we will FINALLY have another exactly 8-week #1 for the first time in 26 years!

Posted by: John-James Jun 4 2018, 06:58 PM

One Kiss and Nice For What going to ACR, I thought I'd see the day!! C'mon Ariana, do some promo next week and get NTLTC to #1 cry.gif

Posted by: Lomadz Jun 4 2018, 06:59 PM

Kanye surely will be no1?

Posted by: 777666jason Jun 4 2018, 07:29 PM

No way JEss Glynne or Anne Marie for number one or someone else Ariana had her chance and peaked already

Posted by: ElectroBoy Jun 4 2018, 07:30 PM

I don't mind One Kiss being number 1 for such a long time.

Usually the long runner number 1s (Shape of You/ the 2 Drake tracks) i've found awful. One Kiss is still a bop

Posted by: ebae Jun 4 2018, 07:33 PM

Great to see Solo climb in that update, it is such a great track! Nice to see Jess Glynne up too!

You really think loads will actually buy the track once the album is released sleep.gif

I'm confused as to what you're saying here.

I'm suggesting that if 'Nice For What' is on ACR, three of Drake's album tracks will debut higher than it, thus kicking it off the chart, then as the album tracks quickly fade away, 'Nice For What' will once again be in Drake's top 3 and thus chart eligible again. This already happened with The Weeknd when he released his EP (though 'Pray For Me' wasn't on ACR, it just happened to be lower than his EP tracks anyway).

'Nice For What' will get a huge amount of streams when Drake releases his album which is what counts in the charts more than the small number of people actually downloading his music.

Posted by: 777666jason Jun 4 2018, 07:55 PM

Oh I c thought you were insinuating that once it hits acr it will drop out and climb back in the next week

Posted by: Danny89 Jun 4 2018, 11:29 PM

Yep, TGS soundtrack definitely best seller of 2018 then! Xmas sales will drive it thru the roof

Out of interest, what would happen if Nice For What got a 50%+ boost from the stream increase on album release week AND fell to the 4th highest Drake song, making it ineligible, and then on the 2nd week it becomes the 3rd highest Drake song and re-enters the chart? Would the OCC put it on SCR because it got the 50%+ boost the previous week, or would they leave it on ACR because it was ineligible when it got the boost?

I don't think this scenario will happen with Drake, but something similar could happen in the future.

Has this already happened with Post Malone? Rockstar (which got a large boost after album release) is way above Paranoid on Spotify now but the latter is still charting officially.

Posted by: danG Jun 5 2018, 08:24 PM

Rockstar indeed did get a >50% boost following his album's release, but at that point it was already on ACR and the sales boost wasn't enough for it to land in Post Malone's top three, and because it didn't chart it was not eligible for a reset to SCR. For a song to be reset it has to both have a >50% boost AND be in the official top 100. If that wasn't a rule and Rockstar got reset it would be in the chart right now instead of Paranoid.

In terms of things that will chart high, nothing for singles I don't think.

There are few albums that may chart reasonably highly: The Beach Boys & The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Boy Azooga, Jorja Smith, Kids See Ghosts (Kanye and Kid Cudi) and Tony Hadley.

Also if you have info outside the top 40, where's James Arthur please?

Not close enough for I Like It to overtake tomorrow! James Arthur a couple of spots outside the top 50.

Thanks biggrin.gif

Singles chart feels a little bit stale, need some excitement!

Wouldn’t surprise me if he ended up at 2 on the album charts
