Why are all her songs so emotionally needy e.g Dear John, Love Story,Mean,You Belong With Me,WANEGBT, no wonder she gets dumped all the time by guys. She is so immature acts like a child yet she is older than me. Wetter than a weekend in Belfast.

Mean is hardly emotionally needy, it's just about her saying that she's rose above all those who've been horrible in her life and is now successful... It's just what she writes about and what she finds inspiration for, same as Adele really writing the whole of 21 about a break-up.

As much as I love her, Taylor strikes me as the type of person who falls in love in an INSTANT and then overreacts at the slightest thing and completely flies off the handle and ends a relationship over nothing

I really don't like the video. I get what it's trying to do but I really don't like it. The childish humour aspect of it suits the song admittedly, and it's nice to see her having fun, but it's quite cringy to watch in parts (pretty much any of the "party" scenes) and dear lord that guy in that random costume that seems to pop up every 5 seconds has an extremely punchable face.

The animal costumes seem very random but I don't think they take away from the video, it's one big fun package.

I quite like it! The beginning of both the song and video reminds me of 'Stay' by Lisa Loeb. I'd have to agree with Triangles though. The guy in the animal suit especially!
