BuzzJack Music Forum _ Reality TV _ The Challenge 39: Battle for a New Champion

Posted by: Aaron. May 13 2017, 02:38 AM

Now I know none of you watch 'The Challenge' but I have been obsessed since this current season (Season 29) just ended.
I basically went back and watched some of the older seasons and they've been ridiculously good.
Basically it's Survivor meets Big Brother.

Basically they chuck anyone that has been on The Real World (or a few other MTV shows) onto a "Challenge" which they must compete against each-other either as individuals or as teams for a cash prize at the end.
This show has been on since 1998 and is about to go into it's 30th Season and is currently filming the 31st season (Season 29 just ended on TV this last week).

The kicker is, people that have competed in the past can continue to compete in future seasons, Some people have done more than 15 Challenges.
It's an interesting show. Like an uncensored Big Brother where they just throw booze down people's throats.

Best Bits from one of the more notable stars.

The show isn't without it's heartache. One popular contestant competed, was diagnosed with Cancer. Over came the cancer. Fell in and out of love. Competed with her Ex on a season where her cancer came back and she died prior to the season being aired.

The dynamics of the show are very interesting. This next season is basically taking Professional Athletes against former Winners of 'The Challenge'.

I watch it!!! Overall I think the level of strategy is weak compared to Survivor and Big Brother but the challenges are soooo much better, very innovative and exciting rather than the same ones over and over again each season. And the house antics are amazing. Such an underrated reality series! I wish they didn't add Are You The One contestants to the mix but what can you do. Very excited for Champs vs. Pros!

Edit: Oh this past season was the first one you watched? ohmy.gif Glad you're catching up on the old ones! I can't even begin to list all of my favorites but Paula and Sarah come to mind. Ashley was my favorite from this past season, really didn't expect her to win!

Posted by: Aaron. May 13 2017, 03:06 AM

omgggg someone else that watches The Challenge. The other forum I post at, they've all watched every season, so it's tough to get a real un-biased opinion of what I've seen.

I've watched (in reverse order) Rivals 3 (THAT ENDING), Battle of the Bloodlines, Cutthroat (my favorite season), Fresh Meat 2, The Ruins, The Duel 2, The Island and one of the Gauntlet seasons. Excited to see Veronica returning for 2 seasons (30, 31). It makes me feel like I have some connection to the earlier seasons.

The strategy is, yes, weak compared to Survivor/Big Brother.. but still exists (how any of these idiots can let Banana's last past week 1 is beyond me).

I've only season 2 Seasons with Sarah it in (Cutthroat, Rivals 3)* but she's awesome. No doubt she will never return, but if she did *.*
I'm a sucker for Camila and Cara-Maria. I would love to see Wes compete in a live season as well.

* if she was in any other season I listed, I probably forgot all about her.

This season has been brilliant. I wish they would have just done it proper. This last elimination made no sense.
The weekly Specials have been great too.. I really wish they'd cut Banana's for one season so Sarah + Evelyn would come back.

Posted by: Aaron. Jun 23 2017, 03:23 AM

Just finished the Finals. Well deserved win by Cara and Darrell.
Can't believe they lost Fresh Meat and now are the winners of Champs vs Pros.
I'm assuming we're getting a Reunion since there's another Special next week? Could be wrong.
Lolo needs to be on every season going forward.

Posted by: Riser Jun 23 2017, 04:04 AM

Wait, was there a special every week!? I only just saw the one with Zach and Ashley on it during the finale, which was really cool. I fast-forward through the commercials but will have to re-watch if there was a special on each episode!

A good season indeed, but I was kinda watching just for CM Punk and lost interest after his elimination. I'm not expecting a reunion since it wasn't considered a full season, wouldn't mind being wrong though. I'm excited for the next season starting so soon although I'll have a hard time keeping up with Big Brother in full swing!

Posted by: Aaron. Jun 23 2017, 06:22 AM

Yeah, there has been a special every week during Champs vs. Pros.
From memory... Crazy Moments... A Girls Episode... Eliminations... Champions (Camila was in the top 4 wtf)... There's another one next week too.
A lot of the information was the same week over week.. I think you probably saw the Champions episode where Ashley K got a Honorable Mention for being a Champion? That was the latest one and had Ashley K/Zach.

Posted by: Aaron. Jul 15 2017, 02:37 AM

Pre-Season Hype Episode Aired.
Very one sided. We didn't see anything from Dario, Darrell, Derrick (vet), Hunter, Shane, Ashley M and Jenna.
Perhaps they don't do well (Darrell not doing well would shock me).
Not a fan of Newbies, just, give us Vets. You were building up to it.

This. Especially with it being season 30 I was hoping to see as many vets as possible. Derrick is an all-time fave though so I'm very glad for him to be back!

I mean, they got Nicole but not Nany? wacko.gif

Posted by: Aaron. Jul 22 2017, 01:39 AM

So. Episode 1.

Ashley M - So disappointed. What was that?
Aneesa - I love her.
CT - He better not come back.. that's like a free pass if he does?
Cory - Babie Dick kink.gif
Darrell - Wow. Luck was not on his side.
Derrick K - Wow. His cast photo. He still has it going on.
Devin - K. I'm in. I know he's gonna play dirty
Jemmye - YAAAAAASSSS
Jenna - Someone said it best. It's probably best to have no brains.

This episode felt odd. They should have just not had the Challenge/Elimination. For me, I don't know a lot of these people.
I love the Redemption Twist however.
Looks like (and sounds like) it's gonna be an amazing season.

Posted by: Aaron. Jul 22 2017, 03:25 AM

Apparently the next two season are Battle of the Bloodlines (2) and Champs vs Pros (2)
Coral was brought back for one of the two

Posted by: Aaron. Jul 29 2017, 01:03 AM

Shane/Simone and Louise/Lolo for Rivals 4 please.
I can't believe they didn't have cameras for one of the juiciest sounding fights ever.

Posted by: Aaron. Oct 29 2017, 02:19 AM

Next Airing is Champs vs Stars. Cast is:

Champs:
Wes Bergmann
Jenna Compono
Johnny "Bananas" Devenanzio
Aneesa Ferreira
Ashley Mitchell
Camila Nakagawa
Zach Nichols
Emily Schromm
Chris "CT" Tamburello
Cory Wharton

Stars:
Ariane Andrew
Kim Glass
Shawn Johnson
Romeo Miller
Josh Murray
Terrell Owens
Riff Raff
Matt Rife
Justina Valentine
Michelle Waterson

Camila is being edited out of the show however. Allegedly she punched a producer, stole a golf cart and was arrested.
Starts November 21st. I'm sure the next season will air right after.

Posted by: TheStareCrow-dy Oct 29 2017, 04:00 AM

Wait so which season was the one with all the Big Brother rumors?

(lmaooooo at T.O being on here, omggggggg @ Shawn Johnson though, will probs check out for her tbh)

Posted by: Riser Oct 29 2017, 04:20 AM

Lol why'd they even invite Camila back in the first place. I won't miss her. So nobody from Big Brother after all, oh well.

I just scrolled up and can't believe Season 30's been going on for 3+ months already! It's been okay, various parts of the format have bothered me but I'm pretty happy with who's left. I wasn't expecting to like any of the newbies but Tori won me over kink.gif

Season 31, which is being filmed now.
'Champs vs Stars' is like a special.. They had 'Champs vs Pros' before Season 30.. I think it was only 6 episodes and then they jumped straight into Season 30.

The BB Cast is on the season thats filming now, so, I guess that will air early 2018.
MTV really doesn't have much in the hopper for Shows. They don't seem to be doing anymore Real World and AYTO seems to be flopping.
Yeah, this season has just DRAGGEEEEDDDD on. It's been very frustrating. However, good people at the end. I've really enjoyed Tori. Also happy Veronica made it as far as she did.

Posted by: Aaron. Nov 3 2017, 09:37 PM

So Season 31 is titled 'Vandettas'
Airs January 2018 (after Champs vs Stars)
Only Victor and Natalie from BB are competing. Michelle and Corey were extras. Unclear if they were needed.

Posted by: Aaron. Nov 11 2017, 12:08 AM

Finale Reunion next week. I think based on what we've seen, we can pretty much declare Tori and Jordan the winners.
Very impressed with Tori, being it's her first season. I know Rookies sometimes make it to the end, but, they're mostly goats. Tori earned her spot.

I guess the Finale was filmed after 'Champs vs Stars' because Camila isn't there. Her cross is being pulled by TJ.

Posted by: Riser Nov 16 2017, 10:23 PM

I appreciate them going all-out for Season 30 but stretching out the finale over 4 episodes is beyond ridiculous!

I'm torn on who I want to win, Derrick's my all time fave but Jordan was such a challenge beast and definitely earned it. It would be fascinating if Camila won and couldn't accept her prize on stage (thought I saw her in the audience but surely she wasn't!?).

Posted by: Aaron. Dec 3 2017, 06:33 PM

End Of Dirty Thirty: Yeah this final/reunion really did not need to be 4 Episodes. I don't understand how Camilla won? It looked like to me that Tori had it in the bag and when she went out 3rd, I thought surely that Cara Maria would have won. Jordan was a great winner. I've seen some older seasons with Derrick and I liked him, but, Jordan did really great this season. This is actually the first season I've seen him in.

Champs vs Stars: I'm pretty impressed so far, lots of Drama between the teams which was lacking the last time, it was all in-team-fighting. What is going on with the Champs tho!? First Camilla was kicked off, now Jenna and it looks like Ashley is going to have to quit as well. They better have some back up girls. The Girls group actually is quite weak.. well, I guess Aneesa is the only weak one. Where's people like Cara, Kailah and Tori? Anessa just seems like a throw away.

Also, from the MTV Website:
Kayleigh may be new to the U.S. audience, but she’s a familiar face in the UK. Having appeared originally on multiple seasons of Ex on the Beach, Kayleigh also competed on Celebrity Big Brother. The Challenge house is home to two of Kayleigh’s vendettas: ex-boyfriend Joss Mooney and former best friend Melissa, whom she hasn’t spoken to in years. Will her domineering ways find her in deep trouble early on, or will she be able to make friends and prevail?

Erm, wasn't she on the last season of just Regular BB? Hardly recognized or remembered her.
Starts January Second

Posted by: Jack Dec 10 2017, 07:24 PM

I adore Kam from Are You The One but really f***ing hate Kayleigh and Alicia.

I might try and give it a go.

Posted by: Aaron. Jan 6 2018, 03:45 AM

NATALIE FROM BIG BROTHER BEING THE BREAKOUT STAR OF THE CHALLENGE: VENDETTAS *.*
But.. ew.. please don't sleep with Banana's.. that's gross. Use his ass and send him home girl!

Looks like a great season.. I was shocked that Rogan went home first.. he was hot. Also I wanted all the Newbies to stick around to send the Vets home.
Joss is hot. I don't see the appeal in Kyle at all.

Jemmye & Veronica not coming last <333

Posted by: Riser Jan 15 2018, 04:57 AM

Champs vs. Stars was so good wub.gif A definite improvement over Champs vs. Pros, I'd love these spinoffs to become a regular thing especially if it continues to bring back contestants that have stopped doing the regular show, such as Emily and Wes. They managed to keep it exciting even with the Champs winning pretty much everything. laugh.gif And Riff Raff was by far the biggest highlight for me, what a star.

The whole vendettas theme on Vendettas feels so forced, I'm already sick of hearing the word "vendetta" and we're only two episodes in. drama.gif

Posted by: Aaron. Feb 8 2018, 02:45 AM

Imma little behind on this season.
However, the next season is being filed (another Champs vs Stars) - but, looks like a FULL season, not just a few weeks.
Jozea from Big Brother is on the season.

Posted by: Riser Feb 8 2018, 04:46 AM

I forgot to comment last week! I'm really surprised that Melissa lost the elimination. She had such a strong start and just kinda...gave up? :\

This has been a decent season so far. There's way too many mentions of vendettas, which was entirely expected, and the challenges have been pretty disappointing, particularly the Nelson/Cory elimination that was literally just kicking a ball, and the eating challenge in which only a few of them had to eat anything!

Posted by: Riser Mar 7 2018, 06:00 AM

Aaron if you haven't caught up yet you should do so ASAP!!! This week's episode is a must-see IMO

Posted by: Aaron. Mar 8 2018, 02:17 AM

AHH! I'm caught up except for this last episode.. I WILL WATCH THIS WEEKEND!

Also, more BB Contestants are on The Challenge (next season): Jozea, as I've already spoiled, Natalie returns... and... DA'VONNE!! (however, some may be backups, I haven't read the full set of spoilers

Posted by: Jack Mar 8 2018, 10:53 AM

I actually really liked Kayleigh this series, she seems to have toned it down dramatically and for the most part came across extremely likeable. Kailah is a nasty little bitch, never liked her - disappointed in Jemmye because I find her unintentionally hilarious but at least she apologised.

Cara Maria, Kam and Devin are my faves left, really hoping one of them can win wub.gif.

Posted by: Aaron. Mar 11 2018, 03:58 AM

OMG THAT EPISODE *.*
Probably the best episode of The Challenge I have ever seen!

I never thought I'd say this, but I felt really bad for Kayleigh. What she went through was unacceptable, and I felt bad that she felt so bullied that she needed to leave.. but damn.. that shit was great to watch.
I've always liked Kailah/Jemmye, but come on girls.. you're better than that. Even Natalie has gone down in my estimation.. I know she didn't actively push anything over the balcony but she condoned, laughed and encouraged the behaviour for sure.

I've never really gotten the Johnny Bananas hate that I read on other forums.. perhaps it's because I haven't watched every season and he doesn't bother me.. but that elimination was amazing. Just the setup, the drama that went into it.. Devin will be known as a legend from here on out.

Favorites Left: Cara Maria, Devin and Tony.

Posted by: Riser Mar 14 2018, 03:28 AM

Oh yeah Kayleigh was treated horribly and it was so hard to watch. The girls ganging up on her and not even saying a word to Bananas was disgusting...unless I overlooked something.

This has been Tony's best season by far, hope he can keep it going and make the final!

Posted by: Jack Mar 15 2018, 10:28 AM

Not bothered at all that Britni has gone, I found her annoying.

Natalie to go next, she's so weak minded and so disloyal to her friends in the comp. I find her really unlikeable.

Glad to see Kam, Devin & Cara Maria all doing really well and I can't help but like Jemmye too.

Posted by: Aaron. Mar 18 2018, 12:20 AM

LAUREL <3.
Another season of the Ex's please.
That was a pretty weak episode compared to what we had last week. But that Nelson vs Darrell was very interesting.. Nelson was ahead?!
I think the more that Nelson get's ingrained with the Challenge, he will be seen as a threat. He's not the smartest, but he can get shit done.

Posted by: Aaron. Mar 24 2018, 03:23 PM

This season has been great, sad to see Natalie go.. but Kam is just killing it.

Posted by: Aaron. Mar 30 2018, 10:42 PM

Champs Vs Stars 2 Cast Revealed. Starts April 17th.

Champs:
Aneesa Ferriera
Ashley Mitchell
Kailah Casillas
Kam Williams
Tori Deal
Chris “CT” Tamburello
Devin Walker
Shane Landrum
Tony Raines
Wes Bergmann

Stars:
Drake Bell (Actor)
Lil Mama (Artist)
Casper Smart (Dancer)
Brooke Hogan (TV personality)
Hennessy Carolina (Cardi B’s sister)
Daniel Gibson (former NBA star)
Selita Ebanks (Model)
Arian Foster (former NFL star)
Louise Hazel (Olympian)
Jozea Flores (Big Brother star)

Posted by: Riser Mar 31 2018, 05:07 AM

That is a weak list of "stars", especially Jozea and Cardi B's sister drama.gif I'll give it a chance though.

Posted by: Aaron. Apr 21 2018, 02:42 AM

End Of Vendettas: This season had probably one of the best episodes in Challenge History, but the rest of the season and the Final were very sub par. Cara-Maria is an exceptional winner, but, she didn't exactly go against the best of the best now.. did she. I'm not really liking the solo themes to the last few seasons. We need an Ex's or a Team Based season I think.

Start of Champs vs Stars 2: NOW WE ARE TALKING. This season looks great. The problem with the last season was the Champs just wiped the floor with the Stars and it was very boring. This twist actually works really well. I actually think this is a great cast. No Cara. No Bananas. Had they just dropped Wes this could have been quite an unpredictable season. Hennessy is such a mess, it's brilliant to watch. Tony's looking sexy AF - but, where is this entitled attitude coming from?!?

Also: noticed on the website Tori and Ashley are listed with their last initial. We know some Stars and even some Champs don't stick around due to Injury or just plain quitting.. perhaps a Tori or an Ashley is a replacement?!

Posted by: Cody💧Slayberry Apr 21 2018, 02:49 AM

I’M SCREAMING. LIL MAMA? Wasn’t she in America’s best dance Crew before?

Posted by: Aaron. Apr 21 2018, 02:51 AM

I think she mentioned she was a Judge?

Posted by: Cody💧Slayberry Apr 21 2018, 04:40 AM

Yeah she was for 7 seasons tongue.gif

It just felt weird seeing her do MTV stuff after the show got cancelled for miscellaneous reasons

Posted by: Liаm Apr 25 2018, 03:03 PM

Cardi B's sister lmaooo, is this I'm A Celeb UK xx

Posted by: Aaron. Apr 29 2018, 12:12 AM

Hennessy was funny for about 30 seconds in that episode, but it got real tired, real quick.
Shocked Kam was out so early.

Posted by: Riser May 1 2018, 05:09 AM

Forgot how much I like Brooke, so glad she survived elimination! I'm also liking Louise from the Stars and I agree that it's nice to have a season without Bananas and Cara.

I'm hoping the voting each episode isn't the Champs and Stars voting against each other every single time, that's gonna get old.

Posted by: Aaron. Jun 25 2018, 06:36 PM

I'm about 4 episodes (5 after tomorrow) behind on Champs vs Stars, but the cast for Season 32 - FINAL RECKONING is announced.
It's pairs, looks like another Rivals-ish Season?

Link with Pairs: http://www.mtv.com/news/3078776/challenge-final-reckoning-cast-pairs/
Link with more details on the Individuals: https://hollywoodlife.com/2018/06/06/the-challenge-final-reckoning-cast-photos-season-32/

Pairs are:

- Amanda & Zach
- Faith & Angela
- Kyle & Brad
- Britini & Chuck
- Natalie & Paulie (Big Brother US)
- Da'vonne & Jozea (Big Brother US)
- Tori & Derrick
- Jenna and Jemmye
- Sylvia and Joss
- Kayleigh and Kailah
- Bananas and ?
- Melissa and Kam
- Nelson and Shane
- Veronica and CT
- Cara Maria and Marie

Yeah, some of these are definitely Rivals.. but why is Cara not paired up with Kailah?
Some I don't recall any beef.
Good on them for getting more Big Brother players.
I hope to god Banana's pair is Sarah.

Posted by: Jack Jun 25 2018, 06:51 PM

Angela is properly vile - I wish it was some others from BGC doing well, get Hanan, Susu, Jaz, Natalie, Sarah, Rocky, Meghan doing this. She is straight up trash!!

Here for Da'vonne, Kam, Tori and Kayleigh who was a surprise last time. Jemmye is also f***ing hilarious, if mostly unintentional.

Posted by: Aaron. Jun 25 2018, 08:56 PM

I only know Angela from this season of Ex On The Beach with Faith and Paulie. She's typical MTV fodder IMO.
I'd cut all of them to have Wes/Ashley or even Tony.

Posted by: Jack Jun 25 2018, 08:59 PM

Ugh I hate Wes and Tony, so egotistical.

Posted by: Aaron. Aug 19 2018, 01:17 PM

There is a rumour going around that this seasons episode airings will continue into December, so they must have a lot of footage.
Granted, we are 6 episodes in and only 2 teams have gone home (well 2.5 if you count the halves of the teams that were DQed).

I like this season so far, the 2 Big Brother teams have really brought the drama. They better find a way to keep Day/Jozea around and have Paulie/Natalie come back.
I could go without the Cara drama with Kyle tho. Very repetitive. I know a lot of people hate Cara. I've liked her up until now.
Faith/Angela is actually a fantastic team, they seem to be doing very well in the challenges. Shame that they always go after newbies.. also doesn't help that they've aligned themselves with Bananas/Kyle either.

Posted by: Aaron. Aug 31 2018, 11:17 PM

I'm one episode behind, but... jesus christ... Kam is an absolute legend. Sad she went for teams that I like, but that move was EPIC.

Posted by: Riser Sep 1 2018, 01:49 AM

Yes! Really hoping it's the turning point of this season, it had been dragging along until then but there's been so much more action the last two episodes. The strategic moves have impressed me so far, especially what Kam managed to do, one of the best strategic moves I've ever seen on The Challenge.

Other than that I'm glad Da'Vonne and Jozea made it into the Challenge house. Da'Vonne's confessionals are great and I'm actually tolerating Jozea for the first time ever laugh.gif

Posted by: Aaron. Sep 2 2018, 01:37 AM

I am really liking this season, sans the Cara/Kyle drama which they seem to have laid off from.
Corey (BB) and Morgan (BBOTT) are apparently on the next season of Ex On The Beach. I really hope that this leads to Morgan on The Challenge *.* She would be amazing. Make it another Bloodlines season and bring in Alex as well.

Posted by: Aaron. Oct 28 2018, 03:14 AM

I just spent the last few hours getting caught up, but this season is nothing short of amazing.
Glad this was extended, the drama is amazing.

Amanda/Zach: Probably the stupidest thing putting yourself into elimination, injuring yourself and getting sent home. I like Amanda, I like Zach, but together they are a NIGHTMARE.

Faith/Angela: Shock of the season that they did so well. Sucked they were newbies and had no respect. I would love to see Angela back.

Kyle/Brad: I'm fine without either of them. The Kyle/Cara drama has gone on WAYYYYYYY to long. I thought it would be great to see Brad back, but it really wasn't.

Paulie/Natalie: I never thought I'd root for Paulie for anything after Big Brother, but.. I don't hate him this season? I actually like him a lot more than Natalie that just can't seem to get anything right. I think Paulie is here to say, and likely Natalie too now that she has ties to the Challenge.

Da'Vonne/Jozea: She did absolutely amazing this season. Star from the very beginning. They made it a LOT longer than I ever expected. She better be back.

Ashley/Hunter: God I thought this would be the team to root for, but they really aren't. I've adored Ashley since winning her season and having her father pass away, but she seems less focused. I was neutral on Hunter, he's hot, southern and stupid, but I really think he's just stupid this go around.

Devin/Cory: I adore Devin. I had no idea he was Johnny's initial Rival this season and left because his father died. I respected he came back as a mercenary and was doing it for his Father. I loved the fact he was going for Johnny, but to have Cory f*** it up was difficult to watch. Ugh. I respect the hell out of Devin. Cory I've never liked. Just MTV Trash. Get him off my screen. The only redeeming thing he has is going for Johnny. I can't believe the longest write-up is for a team that lasted 20 minutes!

Kayleigh/Kam: I'm really starting to get on the Kam bandwagon, it just sucks she has a horrible partner this season. I like Kayleigh, but there's people that are just there, and people that GET SHIT DONE. Kam gets shit done.

Bananas/Tony: I think Banana's should *HOPEFULLY* be done after this last episode. Low blow going after someone who just lost their father AND bringing the father into it. Disgusting. But, alas, he will probably continue to go on. He should have been kicked off just for the pure disgust. Tony I don't mind. He's there for the right reasons.

Nelson/Shane: YAASSS BITCHES. Haha, I can't believe Shane is doing this well and has actually tuned Nelson into respecting him! Excellent team! Great to watch. I hope they make it far (but don't win).

Cara Maria/Marie: Difficult to watch them bicker and suck so much. I wonder if Cara is throwing stuff after her solo win last season. It's great to see Marie come around and grow some balls and actually form somewhat of a friendship with Cara.

KAM APPRECIATION POST.
Thanks for sending Brad/Kyle home.

I hope the next season isn't Pairs so Kam can run a solo game. Her ability to make relationships this season was critical, same she had such a terrible partner.
Kam to win Season 33!

Posted by: Riser Nov 12 2018, 03:34 AM

This has been such a whirlwind of a season. I've gone from liking Cara and not liking Marie to liking Marie and not liking Cara; from hating Paulie to somehow tolerating him; from hating Bananas to loving him and probably back to hating him now laugh.gif I can barely keep track! Not even sure who I'm rooting for at this point, probably Cara and Marie since they've grown so much as a team.

Posted by: Aaron. Nov 12 2018, 04:20 AM

I'm rooting for Paulie/Natalie, because of the BB/Rookie ties, but because I hate everyone else.
Chances are we are coming to a Banana's end so they'll want him to do well, if not win.
Cara doesn't deserve it.
Ashley/Hunter came in WAY too late to deserve the win.
Joss/Sylvia really did nothing all season.

Posted by: Aaron. Nov 17 2018, 01:06 AM

<3 <3 <3 PAULIE/NATALIE
I thought they would have been toast against Tony/Bananas. Kudos to all, that looked tough.

My only comment from that last episode is on Ashley. Sad to see her become the devil, eek, I really liked her in the past sad.gif

Posted by: Jack Nov 18 2018, 03:41 PM

I gave up watching when I found out Ashley wins the entire season by herself sad.gif

Posted by: Aaron. Nov 24 2018, 12:33 AM

JESUS f***ING CHRIST THAT FINAL OMG *.*
Probably the best final I've ever seen.
Paulie/Natalie f***ing over Joss/Sylvia for a Million Dollars was amazing. So close at the end.
Paulie being selfish and wanting to beat Natalie, costing them a million dollars was *.* (talking about the first running leg when Paulie went ahead and Natalie took a wrong turn) - THAT COST THEM A MILLION DOLLARS.

Cara was absolutely right. Joss/Sylvia lost the million on their own by stepping down. YOU DON'T GIVE UP IN A FINAL. DON'T GIVE THE WIN TO ANYONE.

Hunter/Ashley didn't deserve the win, but, Ashley taking the money on her own in .1 seconds was AMAZING and pretty much made up for the fact that they didn't deserve the win. The aftermath of this is going to be EPIC. So good. Omg.

Posted by: Aaron. Dec 8 2018, 03:25 AM

What even was that reunion.
Paulie & Cara being a couple - Ew.
Tony getting all the promos for proposing.
CT being invited, not saying a single word and finding out he has a 2 week "CT is getting Married" special?
No announcement for Season 33.

WHY

Posted by: Aaron. Dec 8 2018, 03:37 AM

So decided to do some digging of my own. Season 33 (unconfirmed) Cast - some of this is AMAZING - some is not...

Jenna Compono
Johnny Bananas
Kam Williams
Kyle Christie
Leroy Garret
Nany Gonzalez
Natalie Negrotti

Some AMAZING Rookies - Julia, Josh, Morgan - OMG. Some terrible ones - Dee (so random), Gus, Stephen Bear sick2.gif
Some interesting Vets - great to see Kam, Natalie, Da'Vonne and Wes back.. Could do without Amanda, Hunter, Kyle, Leroy and Bananas however.

This may not be the final cast, some may be alternates, but all have flown into wherever the destination is. It's essentially Fresh Meat - Rookies paired up with Vets.

Title - The Challenge: War of the Worlds

Didn't realize the landed BOTH Liz and Julia.
Premieres Wednesday, Feb. 6 at 9 p.m

Excited for Leroy, Jenna, Wes and Nany coming back!!!!! Especially Nany as I'd given up on her ever returning wub.gif

Posted by: Aaron. Jan 17 2019, 08:01 PM

I've never really gotten on the Leroy bandwagon, he seems like fodder to me and a puppet for Bananas.
There is a special on Wednesday, January 30th for a sneak peak and to meet the cast.

Posted by: Aaron. Feb 2 2019, 01:15 AM

The Special aired, but I think we can pretty much call that Episode 1.
Intro to all the Newbies, they introduced the Vets.

Pros:
Challenges look EPIC. They've stepped up their game.
Josh cries, a LOT.

Cons:
Looks like a very Hookup season.
Bear makes it into the house.

They clearly showed off some of the pairs. Wes/Dee look completely random, but, she could prove her worth. Bear/Josh going in for Bananas is *.*

Posted by: Riser Feb 8 2019, 01:59 AM

Okay I'm loving this so far, such a great move for them to bring in so many other shows and countries into the mix. I never thought I'd get to see anything like this on MTV, it's really fun and has reignited my excitement for The Challenge just as I was starting to lose interest.

Amanda getting picked last was a moment laugh.gif Cara's already becoming more insufferable than her though...

Posted by: Aaron. Feb 9 2019, 12:48 AM

Yeah, that was a good first episode!
Not a great episode for team Big Brother.. but perhaps Liz will return once someone gets kicked off or something.

I'm in awe of Da'Vonne, she never stops trying, I love the motivation on her. I hope her picking a Brit (or them picking her rather) goes well for her.
Great to see that they can't just go after Big Brother players anymore now that there are more Brits.
Shocked at some of the selections from the Newbies. Clear to see that most of them haven't watched before.

Bear wasn't terrible, that's tough to say. Hope he doesn't ruin this for Da'Vonne.

Posted by: Riser Mar 12 2019, 03:05 AM

Gosh I just love this season. So many heavy-hitters already eliminated. Good challenges so far, no redemption house nonsense, and a much faster pace than usual - although almost too fast! I'm actually loving a lot of the newbies which I never thought I'd say. The Brits' alliance is gonna be tough to take out. And Da'Vonne is absolute gold in her confessionals biggrin.gif

Posted by: Klaus Mar 12 2019, 08:14 AM

Never seen this but saw that Da’vonne is paired with Bear, what did she do to deserve that! Feels so weird to read about our reality people mixing with BBUS stars....

Also see that Bear describes himself as winning Celebrity Big Brother twice.. since when? You were on it once hen

I’m tempted to watch from the seasons Da’vonne is on, purely for her....

Posted by: Aaron. Mar 12 2019, 03:40 PM

Yeah. I thought Bear may play nice with others, but the last episode proved that wrong.
If you're going to watch just for Da'Vonne, maybe watch Final Reckoning. I'm not sure if I see Da'Vonne lasting much longer on this. She did well on Final Reckoning.. but the BB People seem to be going quite quickly this season.

Posted by: Aaron. Mar 16 2019, 01:39 AM

This season's editing is absolutely perfect. In 42 minutes we get Drama, a Challenge and an Elimination. Nothing feels rushed. That last episode was edited beyond perfection. We got everything we needed. Producers at Big Brother US/Canada and every other Reality TV Show need to take note. How has MTV gotten it so right?

Also, great result obviously as Da'Vonne stayed. I have also never been a fan of Leroy so I am ECSTATIC to see him go.
The only downfall of this season is some of the pairings, Da'Vonne could really do well if she wasn't with Bear. She seems in with the Regular Challengers and the BB Challengers really seem to be sticking together.

I forgot how much of a dud Josh was at competitions. Dee was also a VERY random casting choice, but she's holding her own. She's done more in this season of The Challenge than she ever did on Geordie Shore.

Posted by: Aaron. Apr 26 2019, 10:59 PM

These Women are amazing, Ninja Natalie (sans this weeks drama), Georgia (who did amazing in the last Killing Floor) Dee (who has come out of nowhere to do exceptionally well) and even Da'Vonne being in the top 3 this week, they are all doing exceptionally well.

Can't say the same for the Men however. Turbo will always be <3 for me. Theo and even Paulie (sans all the boring Kyle drama) have pretty much been invisible. Wes seems to be pulling a lot of strings.. it seems to have made him a target, but, not really at the same time? Nobody has the balls to take him out. Kyle and Hunter can get lost any episode now, bunchy of whiny bitches they are.

I'd love to see a Dee Female win. Da'Vonne would be the preference but that ain't happening unless it's teams at the end. I can't really root for Cara or Ninja at this point.
Of course I'd love a Turbo win, but Wes is also deserving. Any other Male would be a disappointment.

Apparently the next season isn't going to start filming for a while, so we will have a big gap between seasons for the first time in ages.

Posted by: Riser May 2 2019, 05:20 AM

I haven't watched this week's episode yet but Georgia really won me over last week!! Most of the remaining rookies turned out to be great casting picks. I agree the editing's been great too, so glad they've gone back to fitting a challenge and an elimination in each episode.

Posted by: Riser May 26 2019, 05:57 AM

That was a much better final than last season, I think they went completely overboard with the amount of running involved but most of the other components were good. Cara getting her trivia advantage canceled out almost immediately was lol-worthy. Definitely happy with who won (not spoiling just in case)! I have pretty high hopes for future seasons now, which is something I haven't felt for a few years.

Posted by: Aaron. May 31 2019, 05:34 PM

This by far was the best live season of The Challenge I have watched.
Turbo is an exceptional winner. Great competitively, amazing guy. I have a feeling he's going to have a huge target on his back going forward.
The only thing that would have made this season 10/10 would have been just the one episode of The Runion. I don't care for half this made up drama.

It's going to be a long wait for the next season. They've only just started filming and are only one elimination in. Here's a spoiler for the cast.. take with a grain of salt.. not finalized yet.

Ashley Mitchell
Cara Maria Sorbello
Da'Vonne Rogers
Dee Nguyen
Faith Stowers
Georgia Harrison
Kam Williams
Kayleigh Morris
Laurel Stucky
Nany Gonzalez
Natalie "Ninja" Duran
Nicole Bass (Ex on the Beach UK)
Tori Deal
Zahida Allen

Gus Smyrnios
Idris Virgo (Love Island UK)
Johnny Bananas
Jordan Wiseley
Josh Martinez
Joss Mooney
Leroy Garrett
Kyle Christie
Paulie Calafiore
Rogan O'Connor
Sean Lineker (Shipwrecked UK)
Stephen Bear
Theo Campbell
Turbo Camkiran
Wes Bergmann
Zach Nichols

A relatively recycled cast from the last season. I think I'm pretty much done with watching Ashley. Faith/Kayleigh and Zahida seem like throwaway females. So happy to have Laurel back. No Big Brother Natalie this time tho?
The guys pretty much suck. Gus? Joss? Leroy? Rogan? Theo? Zzzz. Happy to have Jordan/Josh/Turbo in the mix.
I guess throwing a bunch of BB Stars last season and having them flop wasn't the best. No Morgan. No Liz/Julia.

Posted by: Aaron. Aug 10 2019, 05:47 AM

Season 34 is 'War Of The World 2' - 2 Teams, USA vs UK. Starts Wednesday, August 28.

The United States team consists of:
Ashley Mitchell
Cara Maria Sorbello
Faith Stowers
Johnny Bananas
Jordan Wiseley
Josh Martinez
Kam Williams
Laurel Stucky
Leroy Garrett
Nany Gonzalez
Paulie Calafiore
Tori Deal
Wes Bergmann
Zach Nichols

Strong group of women this year! Great to see Laurel come back!

The United Kingdom team consists of:
Esther Falana
Georgia Harrison
Idris Virgo
Jennifer West
Joss Mooney
Kayleigh Morris
Kyle Christie
Nicole Bass
Rogan O’Connor
Sean Lineker
Stephen Bear
Theo Campbell
Tula ‘Big T’ Fazakerely
Zahida Allen

Ugh. No Turbo!?!
Who the hell are all these Shipwrecked people?
DID THEY SERIOUSLY PUT SOMEONE ON HERE THAT WAS ON LOVE ISLAND FOR 4 DAYS?!
This UK cast is HOOOORRRRIBLLLLEEE. Ugh. Stephen is back too.

Posted by: Riser Aug 11 2019, 12:20 AM

Yikes. 'Best season in years' did not mean it'd be worth repeating the very next season.

But, if this means they've brought back the two-teams format instead of duos, I might be here for that. Funny how even a list of 28 people seems like a small cast now laugh.gif

Posted by: Jack Aug 12 2019, 12:30 PM

Big T is incredible and was a highlight of Shipwrecked, looking forward to her!

Posted by: Aaron. Aug 12 2019, 04:57 PM

I just noticed that Da'Vonne isn't in this season either which had me upset so I did a bit more digging. I also noticed Turbo in the Promo's - but wasn't listed as a Cast Member.
There is a twist of sorts - you may be able to find out more on the MTV Website, but there are four people known as 'The Reinforcements'.

Natalie "Ninja" Duran, Dee Nguyen, CT Tamburello and Turbo Camkiran are all "Reinforcements".

Posted by: Aaron. Sep 20 2019, 11:16 PM

Sensational start to this season. Wes leaving is a real game changer. Yeah, I like him.. But his game is the same season after season.
Laurel tho *.* she is SAVING this season. I'm here for Cara/Paulie/Ninja out of this game.
This is going to be an awesomely sensational strategic based season. I'm HERE FOR THIS.

Posted by: Jack Sep 20 2019, 11:58 PM

Laurel was unbearable to watch, so glad she's out!

Hope we can get rid of Bananas, Georgia and Bear relatively soon too!

Posted by: Riser Sep 25 2019, 01:50 AM

Just caught up on this season and omg that last episode was insane, one of the best I've ever seen. Shouldn't have doubted the producers, the team format's been promising so far and the longer episodes are a godsend!

I'm glad one of the twists has been used already (a team voting its own member into elimination), just waiting to see who will be the first to switch teams or if anybody does!

Posted by: Riser Oct 18 2019, 04:38 AM

Still waiting on that first turncoat laugh.gif Seems like whoever gets voted in by the tribunal always wins the elimination, and there's never enough incentive for them to switch because it wasn't their team that betrayed them. Not sure how many are left that would realistically switch at this point...

Posted by: Aaron. Oct 22 2019, 01:50 PM

I honestly thought by now that CT or Dee would have turncoated. The UK team is just a nightmare. The US isn't much better, but at least they are winning.
I like this format, but I'm kind of bored of it already. As much as I hate to stay it, I hope there is some kind of Merge to bring the game to an individual level.

Although we had a gap between WotW1 and WotW2, whatever comes next is in filming and they're attracting more Big Brother talent. Swaggy C (ugh), Bayleigh, Faysal, Tyler and Kaycee all from BB20 are rumoured. Tyler's rumour apparently is false, but apparently they've did secure Kaycee. Take the spoilers with a grain of salt, they have been wrong in the past or made some BB contestants into Alternates which they never deployed.
Sadly, the spoilers I read did not confirm Da'Vonne's return. I don't understand why her and Natalie have been shafted. Of course Paulie and Josh are confirmed.

Posted by: Aaron. Oct 26 2019, 12:13 AM

I've never gone off another RTV Character as quickly as I've gone off Turbo. Completely unwatchable and totally embarrassing for him. He did such a great job winning me over last season.. to throw it all away is hard to watch.

Paulie however is absolutely showing his worth. Hey, he was a piece of shit on Big Brother.. and guess what.. HE'S EVEN A BIGGER PIECE OF SHIT ON THE CHALLENGE. But f***, if you're gonna take out the unwatchable people, I'll gladly watch that happen. Paulie came at the perfect time, they are going to make Banana's retire soon. Paulie will be the NuBananas. It's poetic if you think about it.

Kam looks beautiful without makeup. Just stunning.

Posted by: Aaron. Dec 30 2019, 08:53 PM

What a fantastic season.. Great concept.. Great execution.. Exceptional Drama up until the very end. The Challenge just keeps getting better and better.

I've never been a Jordan fan, but if he can take down Cara/Paulie to cement that win, I'm all for it. Horrible season for Cara.

Found it odd they had Bananas at the Finale... But not Zach?

Posted by: Riser Dec 31 2019, 05:56 AM

It didn't quite hold my interest all the way through, but definitely a better season than I expected when it was first announced. Hopefully not the last time they do a teams format. I loved Jordan and Tori becoming turncoats and watching the Cara/Paulie alliance sabotaging themselves/Team USA in the end. I hope the next season doesn't allow them to dominate so much (unless it can backfire on them again laugh.gif). Need to watch the reunion still but not sure I'll get around to it at this point!

Well Rogan is definitely not one to mess with.. that hit with Jay was insane.

Insane and really disgusting. We Stan bullying.

A f***ing awful series so far and I won't be watching from now on. Bear unleashing a fire extinguisher and Rogan getting excited about beating up a man half the size of him with no reprimands is really quite vile.

Aside from that, Kailah is an absolute awful human being cheating and grinning about it all on national TV. She is so so embarrasing. Also people like Bananas, Wes, Jenna, are all sooooo unlikeable or just f***ing boring.

Last series was so much better. Bring back Kam, Kayleigh, Cara-Maria over this unlikeable trash any day.

Posted by: Aaron. May 9 2020, 12:09 AM

I really don't think Rogan intended to hurt Jay that much. Rogan had his pride damaged so he went all in, I don't think he actually intended to cause that much damage.

I don't miss Cara, but I agree the cast isn't the best. The only two women that are any good are Tori and Jenna, and I only put Jenna in that category because she's made a final a few times now? Nany, Aneesa, Melissa ect... I agree with you. The men aren't much better. Nobody's getting off easy this season. There really isn't anyone at this point thats rootable, but The Challenge has always impressed. Stay tuned.

Posted by: Jack May 9 2020, 09:23 AM

Have you not seen him gloating and making fun of it on social media and then also prior to that he said he wanted his "head on a stick" - gross

When I was watching it, I liked Bayleigh, Aneesa, Jay and Nelson. The Rogan thing went too far imo.

Posted by: Alex P May 9 2020, 02:37 PM

I’m enjoying this season in the sense it takes up time in lockdown. However, some of the cast are vile.

Bear is not entertaining and really needs to grow up. I’ve seen on Instagram Kailah is now dating Sam Bird from Love Island and they are in lockdown together, so random given I don’t think this was filmed that long ago. Her old relationship clearly ended and it didn’t work out with Bear either she is a trash human being. I really do not understand why anyone finds Bear attractive either.

Kaycee who won big brother is completely invisible as is Fessy. Bayley is still a spoiled brat just like she was in Big Brother.

Bananas and Wes are boring and getting way too old for this show.

I know many find Jordan and Tori annoying but I have to respect how good Jordan is as a competitor.

Kyle is useless and adds no value to the show.

Posted by: Riser May 11 2020, 05:14 AM

I want to enjoy this season because there's no Cara or Paulie and I love that everyone has to win an elimination to go to the final, but I'm just not enjoying it sad.gif The rivalries so far seem very forced and I haven't been interested in most of the storylines, particularly Bear/Kailah and now Jenna/Zach. I'm still tuning in for now but it's already starting to drag.

Posted by: Aaron. Jul 4 2020, 01:20 AM

This season is just so.. Strange. Not the group of people I would have guessed would be the finalists.

Posted by: Aaron. Sep 24 2020, 12:38 AM

The Challenge 36 is currently filming in Iceland.
Spoilers on a few interesting casting decision: No Bananas or Jenny (Bananas was quarentined, but left). No Cara or Paulie again.
Big Brother cast includes: Amber Borzotra, Fessy Shafaat, Josh Martinez, Kaycee Clarke, Lolo Jones. Analyse Televera and Mark Jensen were also cast, but didn't make the final cut for some reason. This is the 3rd time Mark has been cut

Other interesting casting notes: Natalie Anderson (Survivor/Amazing Race), Olivia “Liv” Jawando (Shipwrecked), Gabby Allen (CBB/Love Island)

Posted by: Aaron. Oct 30 2020, 05:07 PM

Paulie pretty much confirming he won't be returning to The Challenge after dragging Producers on Social Media. wub.gif
Now we just need him and Cara to break up so she can return.

Omg at Amber B, Lolo and Natalie on the rookie list ohmy.gif

The people I didn't enjoy watching last season have all skipped this season, so hopefully that's a good sign. I'm interested to see what a season in Iceland will look like too.

Natalie should not have chosen Wes.
Where did Anessa come from?!
BIG DICK ENERGY FROM FESSY.

I like this season. I somehow always underestimate Kyle. He's a lot more tolerable without Cara around. Big T is definitely going to go far. She got the best deal tonight. Wow.

Posted by: Rizzard Dec 21 2020, 01:11 AM

Loving the format so far! Hope it gives us a little bit of chaos each episode. The players are quick to outsmart the format in certain seasons but I think they'll have a tougher time with this one.

Posted by: Aaron. Jan 7 2021, 02:26 AM

Why is Josh playing this like it's Big Brother?

What a shock with Fessy turning on Nelson. I'm not sure if that was the right move. He lost a lot of respect.

I feel bad for Nelson, eliminated back to back in the Hall Brawl. I don't see Fessy recovering from this, except I think all the guys wouldn't want to go against him.

Awesome season so far.

And now we know why sad.gif

Big shame about Natalie leaving - she seemed like the most promising rookie, but hopefully she'll get another chance? I felt bad about Nelson's elimination too.

My overall thoughts are the same as a month ago, I think they've really nailed it with this format. I like how they don't know whether it'll be a guys or girls elimination, and the drama from these secret votes/blindsides.

This Josh/Fessy vs Devin fight is so much like fights we used to get in early BBUS. So petty I love it.
Congrats to Leroy, a well deserved Skull there.

Wow. Amber B really brought it tonight!

I keep teetering back and forth on whether I’m liking this season or not. It definitely has its high moments, but something is just a bit off. Maybe I’m just missing a personality like Day or Marie.

Posted by: Aaron. Feb 25 2021, 02:00 AM

OMG BIG T & CT <3. What a duo omg.
I've loved this season, peak strategy, no Bananas, amazing challenges. It's one of their best in a while, I think what killed it a bit for me however was Lolo (again) and perhaps the cast was 4-6 contestants too many?

Next Season announced is an All-Stars season. This was initially fueled by OG Players looking to return. 22 veteran players will compete for a $500,000 Prize. Here is the first 6 revealed.
https://www.usmagazine.com/entertainment/pictures/the-challenge-all-stars-cast-teaser-beth-trishelle-more/mark-long-3/

I will put this in spoilers for now, below are confirmed contestants from the US Magazine Article.

Mark Long (Last appeared on Battle of the Exes in 2012)
Trishelle Cannatella (Last appeared on Rivals II in 2011)
Beth Stolarczyk (Last appeared on The Gauntlet III in 2008)
Syrus Yarbrough (Last appeared on The Ruins in 2009)
Ruthie Alcaide (Last appeared on The Duel II in 2009)
Eric 'Big Easy' Banks (Last appeared on Battle of the Seasons in 2012)

Season 38 is also being cast and a few have confirmed they will not be returning:
Zach and Jenna (Jenna is pregnant), Da'vonne (declined), Theresa (pregnant), Nany and Leroy. Leroy apparently will officially retire after Season 36

Just started the vendetta series on Netflix, oh my I am hooked, they really go in don't they ohmy.gif

Vendettas was a great season!
Have you watched Dirty 30? Seasons 30-31-32 were sold as a trio and filmed pretty much back to back. It's not really needed, but they had a good interworking theme between these three seasons.

Posted by: Riser Mar 7 2021, 11:40 PM

That actually might have been my favorite episode so far even though it was filler kink.gif

CT & Big T were a great team, a shame to see it end but not a surprise either. Amber B and Gabby are the only remaining rookies now!

Mine has gone less and less for Kyle, I find him desperate to be liked, something I just don't like. I think he's really snaky too.

Who would have thought Amber Borzotra from Big Brother who came 14th in her season would be in #1 place on Day 1 of the final. That BB season could have created 4 RTV winners. Mind blown.

Yup, I'm sure I'd have guessed Amber would leave early for personal/medical reasons and Natalie would be first place in the final...instead it's the other way around!

I'm so here for Leroy and Nany being teamed up for the final...rooting for them to win but can't see it happening at all.

Posted by: Aaron. Apr 22 2021, 01:31 AM

I have never been a fan of Leroy's but he's come into his own the last few years. He was always just Bananas puppet to me.. But it's been nice to see him stand out on his own.

This final feels unnecessarily long, we didn't need 2 one and a half hour episodes. With that being said, terrific winners and well deserved. They were the most balanced team to win that final. Amber basically walked her way through day 2 with one of the best Challenge competitors of all time. Kudos girl.

Wow. Lots of newbies this year. There has to be an early purge I'd imagine...
Michela and Michele. Wow. Hughie seems like a very random cast.

Posted by: Riser Jul 15 2021, 02:29 AM

I'm looking forward to the Survivor rookies and all the international rookies...so basically all of the rookies laugh.gif

Nam didn't stand out for me at all last season but maybe he'll be more watchable without Lolo, we'll see...

Posted by: Aaron. Aug 12 2021, 03:34 AM

What a solid premiere episode. I love that they took the time to introduce the newbies but also the vendettas from previous seasons.

Hughie and Ashley as partners. Wowwww. Absolute f***ing mess. I'm living.

I'm secretly rooting for Big Brother Nigeria. Aneesa winning the first challenge 2 seasons in a row is an absolute accomplishment. It seems like she has a very good, supporting partner as well.

I'm obsessed with Logan actually.
I am equally obsessed with Corey L. He is just everything.
Nany and Kaycee tho. Soooo f***ing cute.

Too bad Michaela went first, but, you can't play Survivor on The Challenge

Posted by: Riser Aug 12 2021, 04:35 AM

So many rookies cheeseblock.png Quite a risk to have so many international rookies debut all at once, I hope it pays off. First episode was great.

Definitely not here for Team Survivor being targeted! Great to see Aneesa winning and I'm selfishly glad we won't be seeing Nam this season after all kink.gif

How is CT getting younger and younger? He's been working hard and it's showing!
Not Hughie being the exact same in BBUK and The Challenge. He's giving me a headache laugh.gif

Posted by: Riser Sep 13 2021, 02:51 AM

Hughie's quickly becoming an even messier player than Josh tearsmile.gif Okay, maybe not that bad yet. I was happy to see Logan win the elimination, and it's so amusing to see all these rookies fighting over Nany laugh.gif

Posted by: Simon. Sep 17 2021, 01:40 PM

Damn that episode felt like only half of one. cry.gif

Posted by: Aaron. Sep 18 2021, 02:07 AM

Kaycee and Nany was cute tho. But yeah, I wanted an elimination. But it looks like a quadruple boot next episode at the most? (Disqualifation + Their Partner and the Elimination we should have gotten tonight).

Posted by: Simon. Sep 23 2021, 08:58 PM

Another good episode but I wish they wouldn’t split them into halves sad.gif

Posted by: Aaron. Sep 24 2021, 12:03 AM

Good episode. Not the best. We've definitely seen people stay for laying less of a hand on someone else. But it still doesn't make it right. Sad to see Esther go, she was one of my favorite newbies!

Tori needs to go soon please.

Posted by: Aaron. Oct 1 2021, 03:36 PM

I'm still so surprised they created a season where it was so easy to get rid of Newbies. Even next week if a Vet/Rookie team wins, likely they just send in Newbies (depending on who wins the challenge).

With that being said, I'm a bit surprised the Vets have stayed together so far. I'm sure it will get spicier soon.

Posted by: Aaron. Oct 1 2021, 04:03 PM

Although it was great to see Hughie again, he exceeded my expectations with his physical ability and just how damn annoying he would be. It's like his season of BBUK ended and they scooped him up. He has not changed laugh.gif

I'm here for more random BBUK castings, BRING ON AISLYNNE AND GRACE ADAMS-SHORT.

Posted by: Aaron. Oct 8 2021, 03:22 PM

So now we have finally entered the non Rookie/Rookie part of the season. I thought the last episode was great. Team Devin vs Team Big Brother vs Team Cory.

The problem with team Big Brother is Josh is WAY too emotional.
The problem with Cory is his big mouth laugh.gif
Devin is doing a surprisingly good job this season, I'm sure his time will come but he seems to be in a good place for now.

I'm not entirely sure why Big Brother turned their backs on Amber. They clearly used her last year and I think they're still butthurt that Amber actually won last year. But I really don't see why Fessy and Kaycee didn't put all of that aside and work with Amber. Instead she rolled into the Cory alliance and now she's gone.

Posted by: Aaron. Oct 24 2021, 08:18 PM

Another great episode, I definitely prefer the Cells over Coupling the teams.
I remember a time I used to HATE Kyle, but I've warmed up a bit more. He's funny at times.

I can’t stand him still, something so smug about him.

Aww I have all kinds of time for Kyle - although he's quickly turned into another Cory now that he's saying he needs the money for his family/new baby laugh.gif

Sad to see Ed go, he'd make a good Challenge regular I think...hope he's invited back!

Posted by: Adam Oct 28 2021, 02:19 PM

I used to really like Kyle but I find him an irritant now, it feels like he’s in the producers pocket as he will give them the piece to camera bits they’ll want. But also when he’s in the wrong in an argument and his only answer is ‘shut up man’ without an actual defence, I find that highly annoying.

I was however really rooting for his cell to win that last challenge, and I think as they got 2.5 wires really, they should have,

Posted by: Aaron. Oct 30 2021, 09:07 PM

Wow, 500 Episodes of The Challenge! What an accomplishment! Brilliant challenge to celebrate as well.

Loooool at Emmanuel picking Devin, and getting puzzles. Tho it definitely did take Devin a while on that first puzzle.

Looks like we're off to a good final.
I do really hope next season they bring back some people to break up this block that always gets to the end. It's getting a bit predictable now.

As much as I hate to say it. Bring back Cara and Paulie. I'd definitely take a (strong competitive) Jenna or Laurel. I love Nany but I hate seeing her limp around the final season after season. We need stronger more competitive females and the returnee route is the best route.

This season is so eefing good.
Olivia is definitely the Newbie MVP of the season.
Jay and Michele shaking this game on its head two weeks in a row is just laugh.gif
I kinda hope someone from that side wins again next week and takes out another Vet team (or at least Amber/Chauncey).

Wtf were those choices Moriah…..

Posted by: Aaron. Jan 5 2023, 08:45 PM

Lots of peaks and valleys this season, good to see the Vets finally go after each other.

Definitely back on the Amber bandwagon however!!

Posted by: Simon. Jan 5 2023, 09:32 PM

No Nany must win!

Posted by: Riser Feb 1 2023, 03:51 AM

I'm finally liking the trajectory of this season, the last few eliminations have been *chef's kiss* for me. Kaycee and Faysal both eliminated before the final!

Not a 100-hour final though, will multiple teams actually finish or will we have a winner by default again 🙃

Posted by: Aaron. Feb 2 2023, 11:52 PM

I have higher hopes for this group compared to the CBS version, with that being said, so upset for Horacio and Olivia. But they MUST return, best newbies in a long time.

Posted by: Aaron. Feb 10 2023, 01:59 PM

Me and my friend got together last night for what we THOUGHT was the Final Episode. They’re really dragging out this final - 3 Episodes?! Never do this again.

But overall, great season. It never got stale with the format, we still got great eliminations. They really did cram a lot into those 15ish episodes.

It looks like this is Tori & Devin’s to lose at this point which for me was unexpected. I like Devin and it would be great to see him finally win, but I dislike tori so much lol.

I’d be alright with a Bananas/Nany win, she does deserve it.. she’s had a very rough year.
Jordan can take a few seasons off again. I’ve had enough.

Posted by: Aaron. Feb 24 2023, 04:41 PM

Despite the bloated final, great seasons, and great winners.
I can’t stand Tori still, but congrats Devin!

Congrats Amber as well on the Pregnancy.
That first part of the Reunion was okay. I’m team Michele when it comes to her beef with Laurel.
Bananas and Moriah dating now?! Ew.

Posted by: Riser Feb 25 2023, 02:36 AM

I'm so happy Tori and Devin won, yay! I'll be really impressed if either of them can win a second time, this particular season just seemed to really go in their favor. I enjoyed most of the final, other than being extremely bloated yeah. It was a nice touch for them to have Jordan/Aneesa and Olivia/Horacio watching at the end.

Posted by: Simon. Mar 9 2023, 02:59 PM

Devin is so boring, there is literally nothing to him but the Challenge.

Posted by: Adam Apr 5 2023, 05:40 AM

Honestly I was bored by most of the final couples, it’s so dull to see the same people regularly getting to the top. So I was rooting HARD for Olivia and Horacio, definitely my favourite new additions to the series, Horacio is just chefs kiss, Olivia was lots of fun and what happened to her was awful, I hope they’ll be back.

Of the remaining options, I’m glad Tori won it.

I can do without another season of Jordan. While he clearly does have some good in him, he can be so bloody patronising and it winds me up.

Other favourites for me were Amber, surprisingly, Mariah, Kim and Colleen and Jay and Michele. I wish we had got to see more of Sam.

https://ew.com/tv/the-challenge-season-39-battle-for-a-new-champion-teaser-and-cast/

Season 39 - MTV's long-running reality competition series is changing things up with The Challenge: Battle for a New Champion. Just like the title says, the new season features a cast of 24 players who have never won before. These "contenders" will battle it out for their first-ever championship title as their mental and physical limits will be pushed further than ever.

But just because the season's cast is made up entirely of non-winners, they'll still have to beat the best to be the best. Legendary Challenge champs CT Tamburello, Cara Maria Sorbello, Jordan Wiseley, Darrell Taylor, Laurel Stucky, Tori Deal, Brad Fiorenza, Devin Walker, Kaycee Clark, and Kaz Crossley will return in surprise elimination appearances throughout the season. However, unlike in season 32's Final Reckoning, the champions are only there to compete in eliminations against the contenders and will not get to earn their way into the game if they win

Jessica Brody
Berna Canbeldek
Ed Eason
Big T Fazakerley
Michele Fitzgerald
Asaf Goren
Horacio Gutiérrez
Callum Izzard
Moriah Jadea
Jujuy Jiménez
Olivia Kaiser
Corey Lay
James Lock
Nurys Mateo
Hughie Maughan
Emanuel Neagu
Chauncey Palmer
Melissa Reeves
Ravyn Rochelle
Colleen Schneider
Jay Starrett
Ciarran Stott
Kyland Young
Zara Zoffany

Meh. I would have preferred no MTV Challengers on the CBS airing now.
Outside of Melissa and Michele not many to root for tho.

I agree! That list is lacking in exciting names, whereas The Challenge: USA would've been absolutely fine without the vets on there.

I will give it a chance like always, but with Survivor, Big Brother and Amazing Race airing at the same time, this will be lower-priority than usual.

Posted by: Riser Mar 4 2024, 03:01 AM

Season 39 really gave nothing to discuss, didn't it laugh.gif

One positive from the season was watching Nurys' star rise as much as it did. Impressive elimination wins! I didn't enjoy Jay and Michele running the house, on the other hand, both of their eliminations were delightful. kink.gif I mostly liked Emanuel, he's an okay winner I guess although I was rooting for Nurys. The control/chaos/conquest format was a bust unfortunately.

Posted by: Simon. Mar 4 2024, 02:22 PM

Yeh I gave up on this season quite early on, wasn't really enjoying it and didn't care about many cast members.

Looking forward to this new Allstars though!
