Back *.* and going much further back in time from the previous ones, with one of the definitive cinema greats. Billy Wilder dealt with a wide range of film styles and genres, but for me he really shone with the comedy. Granted, i haven't seen as many of these as i perhaps should have, but those ones at the end of the 50's in particular are sensational. 'Some Like it Hot' and particularly 'The Apartment' are some of my all-time faves. The latter was met with a huge response at the time and it's clear to see why. Very much an "everyman" sort of film, hugely relatable, funny, witty and real.
