FKA twigs will be releasing her 2nd full-length album Magdalene sometime this autumn! Produced predominantly by her and Nicolas Jaar, some song titles and descriptions have been revealed, including the choral a cappella opener '1000 Eyes', witchy trap track 'Holy Terrain', Kate Bush-y 'Mary Magdalene', string-laden 'Home With You', piano ballad 'Mirrored Heart', reflective 'Daybed' and 'Sad Day', which has the amazing description of 'if Opus III - It's a Fine Day ran into Kate Bush on a hillside.'
The already out 'Cellophane' will also be included. FKA twigs has done some of the most intriguing music of recent years for me so I'm excited to immerse myself in this follow-up to 2014's LP1. (this not being called LP2 tho!!!) I have a feeling this will be like AOTY!!1! or whatever

The emergence of LP1 was defo one of the most interesting additions to my musical explorations back in 2014 and thereabouts, it was one of those albums that felt very 'new' and exciting to me, at the time I couldn't recall hearing much music quite like that before! In that sense it was like hearing Portishead's Dummy for the first time. One of those albums that transformed my musical perspectives. Ugh I sound dramatic af. Love her. |

The track is called Holy Terrain and features Future. Probably will be the Hottest Record on Radio 1 as it premieres at 7:30pm BST

I didn't really like 'cellophane' at all oops (shoot me) but I'm wayyyyy more into 'holy terrain' <3 am I crazy or does it almost sound like it could be a Madonna song? (a la 'Frozen' a little bit).
