It look's like Paul Russell's big TikTok hit 'Lil Boo Thang' might finally enter the top 40 this week.

I thought it was going to be horrible based on the title but it's a fairly fun 'pop-RNB' hybrid and I'm not too mad to see it chart. It samples 'Best of My Love' by The Emotions and has already peaked high in America and Australia. His older music is more traditonal lo-fi rap so it will be interesting if he goes back to that style once the virality dies down.

I quite like it actually, although it is very very reliant on the song it samples.

Although, I quite like that they interpolate the actual song towards the end. That's a bit different!

Oh FFS I was hoping when it entered the top 100 ages ago that would be it and we'd never hear of it again. Such a annoying cringefest of a song.

I'm also a bit surprised this has managed to be top 40 (#36) in its 12th week, but I'm not complaining.
