What an unlikely combination! This is Celine's first English language single since 2016's 'Recovering'. Really liking it on first listen!
Decent ballad
Who had Celine Dion down for most surprising return to the charts in 2018? (Presuming it does make the charts, although it has made a strong start).
This is really good! Can't say I've ever liked anything from this woman apart from My Heart Will Go On
*hides from Buzzjack*
!!!! How random
This is actually pretty good tho
This sounds like Céline Dion doing an impersonation of Céline Dion... song went completely over my head too. Maybe it'll grow.
She does look *incredible* in the video though!
I have always enjoyed Celine so would love to see this chart.
Not thrilled with the song on first couple of listens but good video

Celine has surprised me with this release as i really like it.
I usually find her music hit and miss.
Beat it Spider-Man... lol
Love the song - would be great for it to become a hit!
It is doing well on iTunes but will need some streaming points to get anywhere in the main charts.
Wait is that the Zhavia from The Four?
This is incredibly boring, I don't see how a sappy ballad fits in with the concept of Deadpool
Celine is well known for having released some rousing movie soundtrack songs (Beauty and the Beast, Because You Loved Me, My Heart Will Go On, I'm Alive - to name a few). So, for her to record a song for a movie that you really wouldn't ever have dreamt of her contributing to, is deliberately meant to cause a "wtf" reaction and amusement - which it's fair to say it did! It's received a lot of attention and positive reviews. Almost 13m views on YouTube too, in only 4 days, which is excellent for Celine.
When it comes to the lyrics of the song, I've found some thoughts on how it could fit, via https://genius.com/Celine-dion-ashes-lyrics Lyrics and https://globalnews.ca/news/4184349/deadpool-celine-dion-ashes-music-video/ -
Rising out of ashes is a common metaphor for overcoming adversity or destruction to create something stronger and more beautiful. It has roots in the mythology of the phoenix that regenerates out of a pile of ashes.
The song is also a meta-reference to other events in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In the timeline of this release, Marvel’s superhero roster was decimated when they were turned into ash by the all-powerful Thanos. Deadpool does not exist in that particular universe, but his awareness of the 4th Wall is typical of him making fun of other Marvel and Fox creative properties. Celine asks if any good can happen after this notoriously depressing ending to the blockbuster series.
For those unaware, Deadpool was horribly disfigured after his mutation attacked his terminal cancer, and then he was burned alive in a fire, so the song has an extra layer of irony — as in rising from the ashes.
I was 0% prepared for Celine to have attitude at the end of this video lol. She's always so sweet and nice and I just didn't expect it at all lol
Number 64 in the midweeks so I'm hoping she can get a top 100 with this.
I actually really enjoyed the usage of this in the film as it fitted the situation well!
This ended up making the UK Top 100 (11th May), at #97! Her first song to chart since 2013's Loved Me Back to Life reached #14.
Great remix!
Back in the midweek chart at number 93 in today's update.
