I. MESSAGE OF THE WEEK
Is there Cultural Appropriation everywhere, from Utah to Eurovision? I don't think so.
Israel's Netta has won Eurovision with her great song Toy. But this victory was not without controversy: as you see, she dressed in an Asian-styled costume, and her stage was decorated with Asian items. This has predictably caused some people to cry 'cultural appropriation'.

II. CHARTBEAT
1. Jessica Mauboy's We Got Love may have received the least audience votes in Eurovision, but it has come out on top in these charts. It is also Mauboy's biggest hit on these charts since Night Of My Life in 2006.
2. Meanwhile, American Idol's Gabby Barrett, perhaps the current favourite to win (according to multiple sources), scores her first top 3.
3. Another Idol contestant, Maddie Poppe, also has two entries in the top 10, including her cover of Carrie Underwood's I Told You So, which was 2009's second biggest song.
