The follow up to the HUGELY successful album The Fame and the re-release The Fame Monster, is set to be released in Early 2011.

For the 2nd album GaGa has again been working with producers RedOne (Just Dance, Poker Face, Bad Romance, Alejandro) and Fernando Garibay (Dance In The Dark), along with some unknown producers.
RedOne on GaGa's New Material: "It’s going to be shocking, shocking, shocking! You never want to go too far from your brand — people love you for a reason. But we still want to give them something with a kick, something that makes them say, ‘Oh my God! We didn’t expect this!’ When you heard ‘Bad Romance’ after ‘Poker Face,’ it was like the best thing you’ve ever heard. "We want that type of reaction. I think that’s part of my job and her job — to keep her evolving."
After a recording session in the studiom Fernando Garibay tweeted: "@ladygaga is a hit making mystery that only appears with #1s in her underwear." (7:24 PM Aug 14th)
Lady GaGa: "I know I told everybody my album was done, which it kinda is done, but I can’t stop writing music. I don’t know what I’m going to do. I might have to put out two records." (August 11th 2010)

Well it's simple, here if you buy The Fame Monster it adds to the total of The Fame.
In most other places if you buy The Fame Monster it will either go to a new total or add to the total of The Fame. In the first instance you'll have to buy just the 8 'Monster' tracks or in the last instance you'd buy the bundle of both CDs.
The Fame Monster (just the 8 tracks) is an EP, not a full album.
Therefore this will be her second album.

There's enough songs on TFM that I consider it as the second album but whatever.
Obviously really excited for new GaGa material, hope we get to hear something sooner though!

NO, she can't release 2 singles before the album. Its not fair on me, keeping me waiting even longer for the album.

TFM was always designed as a deluxe re-release. Gaga just wanted to do more tracks that the record company originally asked for. Most places the 2disc version sells and charts as the fame, even in the US, but the separate disc is available there but is referred to as an EP (though appears on the album chart, as EPs do here- see Keane "Night Train EP" as a recent example).
Looking forward to this, and she's on The Monster tour forever so really doesn't have the time to fully promote a new album yet so maybe later is better.

Hard to tell when it's a live version, but it sounds like her best ballad. I'm not normally a fan of them, I'd skip "Speechless", "Again Again" & "Brown Eyes".

Although there were no revealing details about Born This way, producer RedOne did reveal to MTV News that when the new Lady Gaga album is released, people will love it. "I think it's more of her freedom album. It's like freedom this album ... it's her album!"
RedOne went on to talk more spin about how great the album is without revealing anything. "To be honest with you, I think that this album that she's making is too precious to talk about. When it comes out you'll hear and you'll make your choice. I think you're gonna love it. But I think it's too precious for me to talk about it. It's crazy."

FIRST FAN REVIEW OF SONGS FROM 'BORN THIS WAY'!
No words can honestly do the material I heard Justice. Lady GaGa has well and truly topped herself with this record and I didn’t think that was possible. I am a huge fan of The Fame and The Fame Monster but the new material catapults GaGa to another level. The music is so fresh and so liberating and it’s almost like a new genre of music. The lyrics are nothing short of genius, GaGa has spent two years working on this album and it really shows in the music. You can tell that GaGa has spent every minute that God has sent working on the new material; it truly reigns supreme over her previous work. The new music took me to places GaGa’s music has never took me to before, it’s really inspirational, empowering and liberating and it will set you free. I know a lot of you are peeved that the album doesn’t drop until 2011 but it’s honestly worth the wait. Lady GaGa is still tweaking and perfecting the album to make it the best gift possible for her Little Monsters.
Lady GaGa spoke about her love and devotion for her fans in great detail, crediting them as her biggest inspirations, to quote GaGa said “Lady GaGa = Little Monsters”. I could see in her eyes how proud she was when she played the new songs, GaGa was dancing around the room with the biggest and proudest smile on her face and it was beautiful to witness. The songs I have heard from Born This Way are all number one hits, they instantly become my favourites after only one play. I have never heard anything quite like them before, they are so original and they are a first for music in my opinion. Gaga’s attitude, dedication and devotion to the new material was so apparent, minus the fact she has the album title tattooed on her thigh I could tell how proud she is, she credits Born This Way as her greatest work and It’s clear to see why. 2011 is going to be GaGa’s year, it’s going to take her success to a whole new level and it’s going to prove to everyone who has been negative towards GaGa that she truly deserves the success she has achieved. I was permitted to write a fan review on the promise that I do not reveal too much so I’m going to end this review here. Like all of you I am more than excited to hear the finished product in 2011 … It’s going to be EPIC! You are all going to be so proud of Mother Monster.

By the time this album actually comes out, all the hype will have died for me. And Little creaturesmonsters sometimes put me off Gaga as a whole. Constantly whoring her out. Even when she done that rally for Don't ask, Don't tell and she said that she was there as Stefani and not Lady Gaga you still have some idiots putitng their hands in the air with the claw and its like, leave that stuff at the concerts. And the way GagaDaily whores her out to be the best thing ever to happen to the Universe sometimes gets a bit sickening.

Things are really quiet atm. No word on the release date, first single, what we can expect from the album etc...
Can anyone remember when Gaga said that she would tell us the name of the new album at 12:00am on New Year? Maybe she'll tell us the name of the first single then scene as we already know the title now? Or even better, post the new song on her website or something? That would be amazing.

Yeah, I think she'll reveal something at new year, to make up for us already knowing the title. But I don't know if it will be an actual song, maybe just a title, album cover, track-list, release date or something? It all depends on the release date of the album...if it's April or before, having the song premier at New Year might be ok. If it's closer to the middle of the year, I think New Year could be a little early....

I think the album being released on her Birthday seems plausible.
It's end of March so it's still in Q1 and the Album title is quite appropriate for the occasion.
Having 2 singles before the album would be great as it would mean we'll hear the lead sooner.
I think She's got demand though to just do 1 single and 3 promo one's each week on iTunes up until release date like Katy Perry and Taylor Swift.

I meant the two songs released before the album are probably both guaranteed to go to #1, then possibly the 3rd single too.
I doubt it will sell as strongly and as consistent as The Fame has, but im expecting mammoth first week sales, a la Take That.
I wonder if BTW will be re-released too? 'Born This Way - A Free Bitch'? 'Born A Free Bitch'?

RedOne, who has worked with Gaga on smashes like "Bad Romance" and on the current album, believes that Born This Way will really step up the singer's already stepped-up game. "I think it's more of her freedom album. It's like freedom, this album ... it's her album!" he explained to MTV News.
"To be honest with you, I think that this album that she's making is too precious to talk about. When it comes out you'll hear and you'll make your choice. I think you're gonna love it. But I think it's too precious for me to talk about it. It's crazy."

I'm not sure, probably not. Like you said, it's meant to be a very personal song, and GaGa has been working so hard on the album, and I'd like to be one of the, most likely, few people not to listen to it if it did leak.

WENNLady GaGa's manager has praised her "incredible" new album.
Troy Carter insisted that the record, which GaGa announced earlier this year was called Born This Way, will be worth the wait for fans.
"We're just starting to play music for the label," Music Rooms quotes him as saying.
"We're very excited about it. We're starting to play a little for people and getting a feel for it, and she's done an incredible job, a really incredible job."
Carter also explained that they have yet to decide on how to market the album, which he said has always been a collaborative effort with GaGa.
He admitted: "Well, you know what, it's not where I go from a business standpoint, it's more about where she goes creatively because, truth be told, we built the business around her creative infrastructure and that business that was built is unique to Lady Gaga."
Born This Way is slated for release in early 2011.

Whenever the first single premieres, i hope they don't do a Bad Romance release and put it straight on iTunes.
Id like the single to premiere, then the video 2 or so weeks later, then leave a couple of weeks for people to hear it and for it to gain heavy Radio/TV support, THEN release it.

Didn't do 'Bad Romance' any harm at all, it still had two weeks at #1 in the UK. I like it that way, like they do it in America. Should lessen the amount of illegal downloads, as people don't need to wait weeks before they can buy it.

I heard a rumour that she'd said at a concert about it having 20 songs. At least a YouTube video confirms it now I was expecting at least 16, the same amount as on the original 'The Fame', as she does have loads of material. Puts other artists to shame - some only have half that amount And even if she has five singles, that's still only a quarter of the album

The first singe is released in February though, and March 28th is too early to be released the week of the second singe, so i doubt that will happen. I did originally think it would be released on her birthday but its unlikely now.

Lady Gaga has revealed some details about her upcoming studio album Born This Way in an interview with BBC’s Newsbeat. The singer confirmed that the new single would be released in February 2011, with the album arriving shortly after. “The album is finished and all,” she said. “It’s just fine-tuning everything.”
Gaga described the new album as “a marriage of electronic music with major, epic, dare I even say, metal or rock ‘n’ roll, pop, anthemic style melodies with really sledge-hammering dance beats.”

Yeah, Beyoncé had more 2009 singles than 2008 singles, yet was only nominated at the 2009 awards for Best Int. Female and Best Int. Album - she wasn't nominated for either at the 2010 awards, so the same shall happen for Lady GaGa. Katy Perry will wind Best Int. Female in 2011 anyway, The BRITs team seem to love her!

I don't get why people expected it any sooner. The last date on her tour according to wikipedia is May 6th, and I wasn't expecting her to release it while still on tour. This year, it gives her time to maybe have a short rest right after the tour, and then go off and promote the album.

I suppose it's possible in aa way like Katy did with the Teenage Dream album, but if this single is to get its radio premiere in mid February that'll probably be when it's released to radio in the US, and then the video will probably be with us early April, ready for the single to be released here in May with the album following it a week or two later.

Lady Gaga is set to preview a track from her upcoming album Born This Way today. A remix of the song will be played during the Thierry Mugler menswear show in Paris at 6 p.m. CET. Stylist and creative director of the fashion house Nicola Formichetti said:

Oh and another thing, I agree with a lot of the comments on that video. That she used to look gorgeous. And people say "Yeah, well she's trying to be original" and stuff but I think she looks pretty original in the video, no-one else had that look. She looks creepy and ugly nowadays. She looks downright horrid in the 'Alejandro' video, for example.
Her latest album has me a bit worried aswell, I've got a feeling it could be a bit of a trainwreck (I hope I'm proven wrong). I really hope we do have some "The Fame" sounding songs on it - I feel like she's trying too hard. "Livin' On The Radio" looked promising but I'm having my doubts whether it will appear.
She just seems to be trying too hard at the moment. And this is coming from a person who was totally crazy about her in 08/09.
I suppose I'm the only one who feels like this?

I do sort of see what you mean, when GaGa was first around I liked the fun element she brought but these days a lot of the time it does seem like she's taking herself a bit too seriously. However, I think now she's a megastar she has the means (and funds) to experiment with her clothing and fashion, I think she's doing the sort of thing she originally set out to do in some ways.

I understand she wants to do some songs that have some actual meaning too but I think she needs to realise she is a popstar not some politician. someone like p!nk is able to have a good balance between fun party songs and some more serious songs wish gaga could do the same

Eh Eh was happy and uplifting, the look suited that perfectly. The Fame Monster was generally harsh and challenging in tone, and the look she had going on suited that perfectly, as did the voice. I have no doubt that it's something that will change as appropriate for the tone of her material...

And after I wrote it, the gates just opened, and the songs kept coming. It was like an immaculate conception." She plays a few more songs and mentions a few others—with tantalizing titles like "Hair," "Bad Kids," and "Government Hooker."
The second single to be released is called "Judas" and is, typically, a mash-up: The melody sounds like it was written for the Ronettes, but it is set to a sledgehammering dance beat and is about falling in love with backstabbing men of the biblical variety. Another song, "Americano," which she describes as like "a big mariachi techno-house record, where I am singing about immigration law and gay marriage and all sorts of things that have to do with disenfranchised communities in America," has a resounding Piafesque chorus. Turns out it was intentional. "It sounds like a pop record, but when I sing it, I see Edith Piaf in a spotlight with an old microphone." "It's totally captivating & incredibly catchy."
"Judas" is a classic Gaga hit. With three huge hooks, But she's a bit less dark and dramatic. There's a bubbly sweetness in her voice.
"I'm just a horny fool, baby it's so cool, I'm still in love with Judas"
"Hair" has a had Metal Industrial sound to it.
"Scheiße" is a RuPaul type of song. The album version doesn't have the same hardcore European house flavor of the remix.
Look out for "Judas" and "Edge Of Glory" the most. They're going to be massive hits. She will top "Bad Romance" with them.

For some reason i had it in my head the album was out in March and have only recently discovered its not out til May. I wonder why they are going with this strategy as usually the lead single is released and the album follows quickly. Im assuming the plan is the album will get laucnhed on the 2nd single wereby the record company are hoping to have 2 big hits under their belt before the album release.
I have a feeling born this way will be in some way marketed the same as the fame and that at a later date we will get another fame monster style release, i have to say id be happy with that as the fame monster was well worth buying even if you had already purchased the fame on its initial release.

Not a fan. I don't know, but I'm really not feeling it just yet. Hopefully it's just because it's the preview or whatever, but it sounds weak for GaGa. (Yet again! ) Suddenly my interest in this album has gone from an 8 down to a 5/6/couldn't care if it leaked, but I know for sure there will be at LEAST 3 songs on the album I'll adore...

No one really knows, it's either an edited version of the real track which repeats the same parts or it's a remix, hopefully not though as the beat is fantastic as it is. The only thing GaGa said was that it was a "preview".

He continued on, speaking about how and when the beat was created, how the lyrics came about and who exactly the mystery man on the song is.
"We were in this studio in Vegas, and I was playing some hip-hop stuff [for Gaga's label boss Vince Herbert], and I ran across this [old beat I had made], and we were talking about faster songs, so I sped it up and I played it for Vince. He was like, ‘Whoa.’ She walked in, and I played it for her and [producer] Fernando [Garibay]. She laid it out in two seconds. She sang over the melody and tuned it up and put the chorus in. She finished it super quick.
The guy that’s actually talking, that’s her security guard. We were sitting there thinking how to make a computerized voice, so we were like, ‘Let’s get Pete in here.’ He’s got a super-thick Dutch accent, and he’s trying to read off paper. It was insane, and he just talks like that.
That’s what it’s like working with Gaga. It’s like a f—ing supernova. When she walks into a room, things explode. She thinks of sh– that I can’t comprehend. It doesn’t make sense to me, and I’m a creative person."
He then went on to speak about how he sees Lady GaGa as a person and an artist.
"Working with her is totally different than anyone else I’ve ever done anything with. She’s the most hands-on person I’ve ever run into. She could walk into Steve Jobs’ office and tell him he’s doing Apple wrong, and he’d listen. As a producer, it’s super cool to be with somebody who generally cares and is fully involved."

GaGa's creative director also hints a Born This Way tour is in the works...
Last week, GaGa tweeted that she was "finishing up" the record, adding that she was "so proud of the album: I keep dancing+drinking: metal/techno rock journey of a woman on the run."
Now, Gibson has revealed to our US Team that GaGa's Little Monsters will not be disappointed with her next LP and claimed that now she has finished the album, the Poker Face star is now hoping to start planning a BTW tour.

I wouldn't mind 8 or 9 singles - After the 5th, she'd start to flop.... then she'd stop releasing... Is it just me or does anyone else not like her current image? I remember when Just Dance and Poker Face came out, I thought she was HOT - Then Paparazzi and Lovegame she was okay... Bad Romance - she looked okay too .... Telephone and Alejandro - Meh... It was probably from the 'Alejandro' video that I stopped finding her attractive. The part in the 'Telephone' video where she's dancing in the cafe, wearing underwear & an headband with the American Flag on in one of the points I found her most attractive. She's a bit 'hit & miss'.

At the moment I'm having the same thoughts I was having when I first saw the cover for 'The Fame Monster'. I think if the font was different I would like it a lot more, since I really like the picture.

It's so terrible I love it. The font is awful, the photo could be better, but together it is all so good. I do love the red lipstick, amongst everything else that is black and white. Also, how her name isn't on there like people should know who she is.

It's not what i expected. I think the Born this way single cover is an ideal album cover if i am honest.
Seems a bit trashy but i do kinda like it. I was never that keen on the front cover for The fame monster though anyway so i will deal with it.
