that SLAVES song is so damn good.

fab to see TIEKS on the main list biggrin.gif

Should have guessed 'Steal My Girl' would go straight to B-list!

Shame they've dropped Hozier just when it's starting to climb up the Top 40. And I thought Izzy, Pro Green and Catfish & The Bottlemen would have stuck around for another week or two. Songs definitely aren't getting as long on the playlist these days as they used to.

Circa Waves, Hudson Taylor, Rae Morris, Rhodes and Slaves for me this week wub.gif

Wonderful to see Rhodes on there!

I did think they sounded like eventual Radio 1 staples when i heard 'Your Soul', and this new one is just as radio friendly. Rooting for them <3

Mixed emotions for Rich this week! Rae getting on the C list while Hozier falls off just as he's climbing the charts laugh.gif

Rae finally getting a spot on the main playlist *.*

Great to see The Magician + Watermat moving up the list~ wub.gif

Delighted for Jessie Ware(her first A list since Wildest Moment?)and The Magician on the playlist - both deserve to be hits!

Also disgusted Hozier didn't make it onto the Alist and is off the list as it rises on iTunes. Great to see Hudson Taylor, Circa Waves & Rae Morris!

I've had a listen to it, he's got a lovely sounding voice and I agree it's very Radio 1 sounding. Reminds me of one or two other artists that I can't quite remember, however I know the melody sounds a little bit like The xx when the song goes quiet. Will be nice to hear this again on the radio!

Yay. I'd definitely recommend 'Your Soul' too if you're a fan of this. Both are very lush, but i actually much prefer 'Your Soul' because it has a lot more edge. Excited to see him getting recognition here, and hopefully it means full playlisting in the future if he keeps the good stuff coming biggrin.gif

(also just found out it's a "he" not a "them" so excuse the sudden pronoun shift)

'Your Soul' sounds very pleasant too, nice to just chill out to on a night. Think I prefer 'Breathe' though, find it quite haunting.

It's alright, I had to search it up myself! Does sound like it should be a band.

Oh gosh, Hozier...what? Are you kiddin me, R1? It's so unjust to drop off this glorious track... Same sh!t for Iggy Iggz.
Tbh, idk any of new additions... and don' think Fuse ODG finally released a worthy song. But so damn glad to see my new fav The Magician in A-list happy.gif also happy for Meghan & Watermat.

No, 'Night Light' and 'If You're Never Gonna Move' were both A-listed after 'Wildest Moments'. It is strange that they've A-listed this one though given that 'Tough Love' criminally stalled on the B-list.

Maybe it'll get pushed back? I mean, it doesn't have a video yet and it is very soon after 'Prayer In C'.

She's been playing a huge song at her gigs called Love Again which sounds like a smash, seems like a big February 'proper push' type single to me. I hope she does well in the tastemaker lists next year.

Everything I've heard from her in the past three years has been so good.

Ah right. I think they like to push the single prior to the album release most so it was likely to be A listed - good to see anyway, shes stunning!

Posted by: mr_aly 25th September 2014, 12:17 PM

This single definitely does feel like Jessie's attempt to grab a commercial hit.
