There's been nothing much I've seen about it, where you can watch it, when, and so on.
I'm very much target audience too |

This looks good? Lots of nice little throwbacks to TNG (though I don’t imagine much will go beyond nice little Easter eggs). But 7 of 9 *.*.*.*.*.*.*.* |

Looks good and Brent spiner and jeri Ryan also feature - but it's still USA only as far as I can tell. Box set!

This a fab series, Patrick looking quite frail now but that's really part of the point of the show, I love how the perfect idealised world of TNG (which was always unrealistically idyllic) is now grim n gritty n there are multiple threats to the Federation and there are plenty of old faves in the show being used sensibly as part of a logical plotline, not least Jeri Ryan who is fab, and Hugh actor from the original series Jonathan Del Arco back in his role as Borg are a thing, as are Romulans and Data's influence. The plotline is intriguing, the pace good, everything is quality.
Hot Chilean/English actor Santiago Cabrera is in it too - he was in the awful Netlflx series Salvation and TV series Heroes. This time he does multiple accents, but mostly American, as he plays hologram variations of his character. I think I prefer it to season 2 of Discovery, which was very good, and probably more than Enterprise early seasons. Definitely the best first season of any Trek show since Deep Space 9. First Seasons Trek rating: Star Trek TOS Deep Space 9 Picard (so far, might be even higher yet) Voyager Enterprise Next Generation Discovery The Animated Series |

Season 2:
2 episodes in: Q. Borg Queen in chains. Borg wiped out. The Federation as the nazis of the Universe and 7 of 9 and Picard as Controllers. Guinan Skull Dukat. Wipes the shitting floor with the Star Trek pretenders shows. It really does. |

It's absolutely fantastic!! Discovery could learn a lot. Picard has learned a lot from the terrible first season.

Dare I say it looks like what Star Trek should be, instead of the nondense of the last two seasons?! Glad the worst ever pilot has gone and that they have a propwr ship and battles now.

6 episodes in and season 3 is so far the best Star Trek - bar none! - since the end of Deep Space 9. it's like two huge movies back to back (actual good Trek movies like First Contact), an amazing cast old and new, and the villains are top notch. It's also a goodbye love letter to TNG, DS9, Voyager, but mostly TNG given the main cast is back.
I adore Strange New Worlds, but this is a major step-up on seasons 1 and 2 which had their moments but lacked consistency. This is Best Of Both Worlds-stylee parts 1 to 6 (so far). Do not miss it if you like Trek. |
