I thought the same on first listen (and wasn't so keen) but you've got a real grower there, I hope that doesn't hinder it, it's got a perfect title because it does feel strongly nostalgic. Next in line are Séyetana (with what probably might be the LSDXOXO of the contest), Sandeborg, St. Burbia, Cumulonimbia, and... me. Yeah I still don't think I will get through this semi (especially without Dethan to support this more dancey entry and Trifoski supporting Robert DeLong for a third time (Update: plus I never qualify in June)) but it would be nice. Erm Desbuanda... ummmmm... keep fighting the good fight. (And ugh I really wanna say Bignia this time because the song's not half bad but they really missed an opportunity by not sending the Hudson Thames version (who would get easy TARO Bellamia/Flynnonda points because he's Hudson Thames)) |

Thanks Codez, I do have way more belief in 'Oh My Love' qualifying than I did with 'Álmatlan' (I still listen to that a lot and it slays me every time)! The big plug session hasn't happened yet, but I was chuffed that the former received 7 out of 9 woots (no meh's) when I ~casually whored it out~ a few nights ago! I think I've played it several times actually, can't remember the woot/meh situation of the other time(s).
Trying to decide whether to vote in this or Unknown Pleasures first

It's a close one Cody...by no means am I certain of ANY of the 10 there I've got down to DNQ, especially the pop entries which are always so hard to call.
That said, Bignia sounds like a 'surprise' qualifier to me (in the respect that a lot of people may not expect it). It's a lot more charming and instant than some of the other pop entries to me. I did um and ah about Unovia/Daehun/Deandria though, it's all so close in that semi. I think your entry is quite a likely qualifier personally but we'll see. And as for the new country racism...it's not intentional, some of these entries just sound more borderline than a lot of the others, I like seeing new blood in the final though so I'll happily be proved wrong (for the record I'd have voted for a couple of them if I was in Semi 1). |

 I'm pleased to see you confident in my chances of qualifying! A 5 Q streak would be amazing. I still have a niggling feeling that I might be in the wrong semi but I don't know, I'm absolutely awful at knowing how my entries are going to fare.  I guess we'll see.Also yessss at you predicting '$ORO' through I am not so sure about that qualifying but I REALLY hope it does.
