Our first choice was to go with 'Stronger'. But we've been deliberating whether to give that a rest and use either a song we've never sent before or a song we've so far only used once?

What are you guys thinking? I wouldn't mind substituting for one of 'Slave', 'My Prerogative' or (the slightly riskier) 'Break The Ice'. If any of those fail us this 1st round, then we have 4 other rounds to play it safer to get us through to the final. So, is it worth not using 'Stronger' this round?

Break the Ice would be a fun choice, kind of unpredictable - would be interesting to see how people responded to it!
Though when it comes to Stronger, even though we've sent it twice before... it's such an empowering, fantastic song and so fitting with her situation right now and how strong she's had to be... so maybe it would be a nice choice to use that again?

Hold It Against Me would be a good bet. That's an amazing single with an amazing video to boot. Gimme More would be a great choice as well!

Ugh Britney has so many amazing songs it is so hard to choose!
I think Break The Ice would be a good one and totally unexpected!
Stronger is one of my fave Britney songs so that would also be a good choice, it is just SO uplifting!

Not a good start for me personally as I really don’t like Break The Ice…I used to hate it and now I can tolerate it but I think she has many other good choices.
What about Work Bitch…that has become somewhat staple hit for her!!!

Didn’t realise you tried this last year and it wasn’t a success - such a shame cause I’ve always felt it should have been a single ! For sure play it safe. BOM is a popular album choice I believe and defo the safest option.

Round 3: 4th (tied) [34/53] Overprotected (Free choice - previously unsent songs)
Round 4: 4th (tied) [42/56] Born to Make You Happy (Ballads & midtempos)
I'm pleased with how Britney's performed so far! The first two were slightly risky choices, but I think they paid off to an extent, considering that they both came mid-table. The last two rounds - great None of the above four songs were ever sent to the contest before.
Round 5 is Free Choice and this is probably a moment we should play it safer than before - we're strongly considering Toxic. Your suggestions are welcomed!

I think throughout this series of AF Idol we have been playing it unpredictably for the most part. I'm more than happy to go with any of those 3 if people want us to. We won't be able to send 'Toxic' to the final round fyi, so it's now or never for that one.
So likely choices if we decided to go big are Toxic - Everytime - Baby One More Time - Stronger - Gimme More - Work Bitch
Or some big singles which may feel riskier compared to what may get sent are (You Drive Me) Crazy - Slave 4 U - My Prerogative - Piece of Me - Womanizer - Circus - Till the World Ends - Hold It Against Me - Make Me - Slumber Party
Every other likely option will get completely destroyed but would be much riskier.

I'd love to send 'Stronger' considering her entire situation, but perhaps that will be one for us to use in the finale of the AF Idol that she actually becomes free? I kinda wanna try for the win and I think BOMT is our best chance of doing that.

We should be so proud. We've managed to mostly avoid the BIIIIIG players and taken some chances. Great stuff! I would like us to try for the win I think though. THANK YOU to everyone who helped bring us back up to where we belong after a disappointing result last year *forever cursing the collaborations round 
* I loved our game play with this contest! We didn't play it too predictable and we should be very proud of our general ascent as the rounds went on. To go from a 13th place finish to a win in our final round... great stuff

The first ever winner of AF idol failed to replicate that in the sequel last year when the collaborations round cruelly threw out Brit at some point in the mid-way range! That didn't happen this time and with a few riskier choices than what people would typically expect from us, we managed to place an incredible 3rd place. Extremely happy with our placing and the way that we played the game. Very proud and so happy we were quite "brave" and got to send 'Break The Ice', 'Lonely', 'Overprotected', 'Lucky', 'And Then We Kiss' and 'Touch Of My Hand'... who knows, maybe we'll dare to send some 'Glory' tracks in the future... *eyes* Overall, a great game played. That ascent up the rankings to end the contest with a win... amazing.
