Hi all,

I'm sorry I've not been around the last 2 weeks, my dad died suddenly on the morning of the 27th while I was getting him ready for an urgent hospital appointment following his breathing deteriorating. He had a sudden heart attack and there was nothing I could do to stop him dying in his armchair. I went to pieces, emergency services did their best but it's been a pretty traumatic and stressful 2 weeks getting stuff sorted, looking after mum, the funeral still to come, and finding out that the Power Of Attorney we thought was progressing for mum hasn't been done - by the same firm handling dad's affairs. Mum now owns everything and I don;t have access to any of it, which is the nightmare scenario we paid the legal firm to sort out last december to avoid happening.

I'm afraid all of my time has been wrapped up with sorting affairs and the funeral on friday, friends and family and the BJ team have been very supportive, and I hope to be back online sooner than later just to get some normality in my life, and be able to think about something else even if for a short while.

In the meantime this is the chart I finished just before everything hit, apologies for not responding to stuff it'll be a week or 2 before I get spare time to think about things I enjoy

Hi John! Very sorry to hear about the recent tragedy, my deep condolences! I hope everything is better now though it has been stressful. Loving Rather Be and Kiss My (Uh Oh) from the new entries, and Jack Savoretti now in top 5!

Hey John!

Leave Before You Love Me has really done a number on you and I'm glad. It took it's time to grow on me but it's a great pop record.
You, has done so well here. It's still growing on me even now. I'm hoping it'll breach my top 10
Neon Lights Peaking? Not bad for someone who rarely relwases music these days.
Kiss My (uh oh) is alright. Not amazing but at least somewhat catchy.

That sounds awful John - of course don't worry about not posting here at all, you family definitely comes first and I'll keep you all in my prayers.

As for the chart, good to see some BJSC entries make an appearance here - in particular Rather Be, Waves of Blue and Falling. Good to see Jungle on the up as well.

I'm very sorry to hear about your dad, John. I know how much time you devoted to caring for your parents.

It Must Be Love is a great song to have at number 1. I like the Madness version the best but the original is still very good.

I feel so sorry for your loss of your father, it's always so sad to Lose a family member. My condolences go to you.
As for your chart, I like the big gains for "Nothing Else Matters", "Call On Me" and "Talk About It" and I like the debuts for "Waves Of Blue" and "Kiss My (Uh Oh).

I have to say having a break from charting underlines how much I love and miss it when I can't do it, and how important sharing a love of music is to me in my life

Thanks Sven & Jordan for the best wishes, much appreciated, and again thanks to Sergej, Rollo, Pete, Uhsting, and James. things are getting a bit more organised now and I can start with the music again, hope to catch up with all the fab tracks you are rating and steal a few of them for my charts and ipod. Yes I still have an ipod that isn't quite full yet
