December 1987 marked 30 years since 'The Look of Love' stared charting as the third single from Who's That Girl?. An uptempo and a downtempo were wanted for the soundtrack with 'The Look of Love' becoming the latter; its lyrics inspired by 1954's Rear Window and the way actor James Stewart looks at actress Grace Kelly. Critics approved of the song and had moderate success in Europe, however it's become one of her least remembered hits of her career.

I can't say I ever really return to this oops. But hearing that it's inspired by 'Rear Window' does give a bit of a hidden spark to it.

It's a nice song ~

Agreed, it's nice but just kinda there and not one I take much notice of whatsoever. Would probably be my least favourite out of her 80s singles, unless I'm missing anything.
