A certain member (who only ever seems to post here to criticise) got pissy because of the results in the Neon Nights survivor and claimed I had once again ruined something in the Kylie forum, because I OBVIOUSLY sent out PM's to get I Begin To Wonder voted out.
Sorry but, people voted for it, there are around 20 odd songs in this survivor and a tie break at every stage would take too long. It had been a tie between those two
songs for a good 24 hours.

I actually like David Guetta as long as he's got good guests (his collabs with Kelly Rowland, Jessie J, Jennifer Hudson and Nicki Minaj for example), it's just those names we know from Giorgio Moroder's album are killer!


I didn't like anything from David pre the One Love era Giorgio is more disco/funky, he's known for a few big Donna Summer songs (including I Feel Love *.* and No More Tears) as well as Irene Cara's What A Feeling.

Yes confirmed.

Garibay, Moroder and Disclosure are all working on the album with her.

It will be an independent release, as she hasn't chosen a label to sign with yet. Something is possibly coming as early as May.

She's also signed with a U.S acting agency.

(Kylie obviously, I don't f*** with Dannii )

I was off school the day the news came out, my Mum sat me on the sofa and told me Kylie was sick. We watched all the news channels and bought all the papers. I
remember almost daily I was looking for news to see how she was doing. Hard to believe it's almost 10 years ago now.

It's odd to say that you feel really affected by someone who you've never met getting cancer, but Kylie's had such a huge impact on my life, I feel connected to her
Her music was what made me come out of my shell in school.

I didn't even know she had cancer until '2 Hearts' was released and my mum told me. I do remember how happy she was during the promotion of 'All the Lovers', like on the Jonathan Ross Show, about passing the 5 year mark so I'm pleased to hear how positive she feels when she looks back, focusing on the good things rather than dwelling on the dark times.

I only found out a couple of days later because of the heavy school workload. I was a bit shocked but kinda got over it in a couple of hours after having read the newspaper that she was diagnosed early. Though it still upsets me, I just bought a ticket to see her in the original SG tour a few months back.

Binge watching X Factor now and Dannii has really hit her stride again this series, last series as I said at the time she seemed so miserable, like she barely wanted to be there, but she seems much more passionate and invested this time around. Such a strong category too, although I don't agree with with the three she took through to the lives shows (Michaela aside), although I like Georgia and Mahalia enough. Terrible mentoring for the first live show though, Hold My Hand was such an awful song choice for Georgia, no wonder she was bottom 2!

I played this live performance instead of the video on accident at our local LGBTQ support facility on campus. It was an event to just discuss politics as well as have drinks and be a support system for one another.

HOLY SHIT. That note at 3:12! It was such a moment, it was like she was there live. Multiple people were shedding tears of joy when it finished! This song is so camp and f***ing powerful. It made us feel such a sense of unity. It’s hard to explain. Just phenomenal. I literally just ordered all of Kylie’s albums.

^ Oh my at these re-releases! I wish Kylie would do something like this. I'd much rather that than the drip feed of Sainsburys vinyl releases. Plus it'd be so much better for her fans internationally.

It's a little frustrating that most of her vinyl albums are out of print (which has lead to some sellers on eBay selling them for high prices - for instance Aphrodite vinyl currently has a bid of £82 on eBay with 4 days to go - and while I have a newfound interest in collecting Kylie on vinyl, I really can't justify that sort of price. If a re-issue was around £20 on Amazon, then I absolutely would buy it). Even with the recent Sainsburys ones, they literally have one day of availability in the UK before becoming expensive and sought after on eBay.

Vinyl has had such a resurgence recently, and to a lesser extent even cassettes are fairly popular at the moment. It seems like quite the oversight for Kylie to not have her back catalogue more widely available in these formats. Especially considering that Kylie is having something of a moment this year.

(And completely off topic but other artists I'd adore to see doing these sorts of releases include Girls Aloud and Britney Spears... I essentially want my fave female artists to bankrupt me )

I fully agree that it seems like a huge oversight for Kylie to not have her back catalogue more widely available in them formats. especially when its such a strong year for her. Same can be said for Ultimate Kylie not been widely available.

I saw those Kate Bush releases when I was looking at the HMV site the other night - I’d love Kylie to do the same although I’d be crying over the cost

How amazing it would be to have a complete set of reissues in multiple formats rather than chasing around every Sainsbury store fighting for one of the 2 copies they’ve had delivered, once again as is all too common in Kylie world a major missed opportunity - she has a proven large enough fan base that collect her releases to support something like this (The fact that the limited edition cassette has sold about 50 copies on eBay for £50+ shows the demand!).

I just liked the fact you could buy them as bundles with nice packaging and also buy them individually if you so wished. The prices are high but probably works out a good offer when you divide by the amount of vinyl.

It was quite brief, because she was being urged to hurry up by her security guard - but she was very nice. She gave me an acknowledgement, said "Thank you" and signed my ticket. I tried to get a picture with her but couldn't manage that.

She was tiny, I'm 5' 5 myself and she came up to my eye level wearing heels. It's an experience I'll never forget, but I am determined to get that picture with her one day. That ticket is one of my most prized possessions.

I have always wanted to meet her but have never came close. A work colleague of mine some years ago worked in a hotel in London and kylie was staying there and they said she was very down to earth and very friendly. They met Madonna there too at a different time and did not find the same.

I haven't been here much over the last 2 weeks as i sadly lost my long term partner to a sudden illness.
As you can imagine the last fortnight has been extremely challenging and life changing since i lost him.

My motto is to take things hour by hour and put in the effort to push myself to do at least one job extra per day and it does help.
Keeping busy is helping me but i still allow myself time to grieve.

Other people close to me have suffered the terrible pain of loss and have told me the key is keeping busy and once you wake up get up as other wise it can lead to alot of overthinking which can lead to a downward spiral of emotions.
While none of this easy i owe it to my partner to keep his memory alive and try and sustain my own life going forward.
The heartbreak is painful but i can only lean to the belief he is now in a better place.

Sales info is scarce here and almost impossible to get much info on. I remember reading when brian mc fadden last album debuted at number 75 it sold around 70 copies so that gives a good indication. Adele's 21 album was huge here and going back a while now I read it sold 220, 000 copies here. That's why I'm surprised SBIT isnt charting here now when greatest hits by Pitbull and Jason Derulo are who are not big album sellers at all.

They are very low sales and sales have declined further in all markets since.
Sales may have been just very low for that week, but, if 100 sales is the requirement to get a chart placement it is disappointing that Kylie isn't able to achieve it.

Each individual song counts to the streaming of the album it is associated with, 2 of their big hits on playlists would help gain album points.
Sigala is an example of this, paid for sales on these album are extremely low.
Kylie does pick up streams but falls into a category of paid for sales, this is where she counts most.

I did read a couple of weeks ago that they were willing to dish out big sums of money to get really big stars involved. It's never really crossed my mind because Kylie doesn't need it at all and the only reason people go on these shows is either to revive or properly start their careers. I guess Kylie in the jungle could be good fun though!
