not sure if it'd be able to top Ariana's sales tbh. Ari has a more dedicated fanbase and streaming power, but Jess could get more casual sales like with her first album.

I cannot honestly imagine listening to a whole album of Jess Glynne. What a waste of 45 minutes to an hour of your life!

Ngl people having so many strong opinions on her makes me scream when she’s so bland
Anyway All I Am is a slight bop but more 6/10 than anything, maybe it’ll grow like I’ll Be There. I never actually listened to her first album, I’m thinking of doing so before her new one but I really cba 😂 This post has been edited by Andrew.: 18th August 2018, 02:33 PM |

The reason I have a strong opinion is because it's so annoying someone releasing such sub par boring bullshit music is doing SO well when there are big female popstars who are expressing creativity / personality can't do well!

^ i think spotify numbers/mass market profitability gets in the way of artists being able to cement themselves as ‘icons’
it’s now a super risk-adverse field; record labels are so conservative and concerned about diminishing returns that you get a lot of this generic elevator music...sam smith and ness flunked are central to this evolution. incredible voices wasted on non-descript dross |

I cannot wait for the Jax Jones track! That's probably the TBA track.

It's very different from her usual piano-dance style!

I have a feeling she’s gonna easily have the highest female opening sales of the year so far with this and an easy second #1 album.

Yeah overall it might sell less than her debut did like Sam Smiths did but should still have big sales and an easy #1 debut. Would rather the ASIB soundtrack get it though.

It probably will reach number one but not sell as well overall. Does anybody know what the bonus tracks are on the special editions through HMV?

No one sounds the best track so far but a very mixed sounding album again.

Just listened to this over on Apple Music
I actually really like Thursday! Even more the more i hear it so I hope it's a big hit for her I wish kept Woman Like You for herself as well I hope her version leaks. No-One is very very good, I also really liked Broken. I really like the final three tracks, So Real quite good, Million Reasons is a nice mellow moment but is rather catchy and Insecurities was a nice end to the album and another one of my favorites. Overall though a good strong album 2 no awful tracks something i'll listen too again over the weekend. Some tracks feel quite similar however but I felt this with Album 1 too like All I Am is a watered down demo version of Hold My Hand too me. i'd give it a 7/10 on first listen; there no huge 11/10 moments but no absolute stinkers either. |
