Genuinely surprised at the number one as it looked like a battle between RonsonCabello and Culture Shock all week, but Shields' finest snatched a unforeseen victory (and his second chart-topper of the year following Play God) at the last minute when some 31/32-day old streams dropped off. Elsewhere, there's a generous eight new entries following last week's sole chart entrant, with synth-tinged goth rockers PVRIS doing what so many have failed to achieve so far and sensationally crashing into the top ten at the first time of asking. The Alternative Now 103 effect is starting to wear off so hopefully no more boring stale charts until late autumn now. Also, K-Klass nearly scored a stunning and brave chart entry after Anton Powers reworked their 1993 minor hit Let Me Show You, but they would have only scraped in anyway and I didn't want two reworks of old dance songs appearing at the same time because I'm trying to live in the present. They were tied on streams with Guetta and Solveig, so opted for the brand new composition. Better luck next week!

Glad you've delivered on the Higher Love pun in the description smile.gif

Hopefully Kygo & Whitney make it to number one next week, really enjoying Renaissance at the moment too! Great to see new entries for PVRIS and Dave & AJ Tracey as well, but it's a shame to see Heaven and Lately leave this week.

Great chart!

There's definitely more mileage in the puns yet! Trying my hardest not to manipulate this chart and glad I have a genuinely surprising chart-topper. Still not bored of Renaissance yet even if it has left my fast-moving new music playlist!

Also, I do like this new Metronomy material but don't quite love it - wish they would do something that touches the heights of The Bay, Heartbreaker, Corinne, My Heart Rate Rapid, Holiday, The Look, Radio Ladio etc. again. Maybe there'll be some gold on the album.

Hello Hiyaluv!
Nice to see the huge gains for "Higher Love", "Panini" and "You Little Beauty" into the top 10!
I also like the debuts for "Gone" (Interesting to see where Charli goes with her next album), "Going Up" and "Harder". (My least favourite Jax Jones song, still good though!)
Great chart!

I don't think they're ever going to make something as good as The Look! wub.gif

Yeah, it's his second-worst for me after Ring Ring and sounds a bit too 2016 (it's very 'Sexual'), but I quite like it nonetheless. It's just that his other singles have been total bangers. Think I listened to Instruction about five consecutive times when it came out. Looking forward to the album even if we've already heard tonnes of it!

I'd also like to ensure everyone knows I was 'Hiyaluv' way before this surprise posthumous smash.
