The bubbly Tyla was born and raised in South Africa. Tyla is a truly multi -faceted artist who sings, writes, paints, acts and dances in addition to a multitude of other creative talents. Tyla stands for African youth culture and diversity. She is energetic and connected to the global youth map.
Her latest single Water is going viral globally at the moment I previously sent her debut single Getting Late to BJSC and it did not qualify #justice4GettingLate She replied to me on Twitter back in 2021 when I tweeted "Tyla is coming"  |

Love love love this, really enjoyed her previous single "Girl Next Door"
 Surprising to see "Water" starting to do well but so deserved. |

Oh I haven't seen it at all
 shows how catered for people's fyp are. It's such a nice feeling when it's a song you have already loved blow up - I think it's only happened to me with "Escapism" maybe.

What an amazing achievement that would be for Tyla
 I think she'll be the first South African artist to make the UK top 40 since Freshlyground and Die Antwoord in 2010?
