The Official Charts Company in line with the 60th anniversary of the UK album charts has published an updates top 60.
http://www.officialcharts.com/chart-news/t...evealed__15551/ TT: Beautiful World: 34 Progress: 57 Never Forget: The Ultimate Collection: 59. TT and Coldplay have the most with 3 albums on the list each. Which of their albums do you believe has the potential to rise over time? I think Never Forget: The Ultimate Collection maybe because it'll chart with an updated Greatest Hits release around the corner. That is what happens with Abba and Queen who have multiple greatest hits on the list. I know the new one could be a best of over 25 years but because NF has sold so well I think a new one post 2006 would be better vol 2 etc. That would help sell NF as some people might buy it to have both chapters as it were. Some people are saying three albums have been missed from the top 60. The Very Best of Elton John (2.7 mill) Robbie: Life Thru a Lens (2.4 mill) Robbie: Sing When You're Winning (2.2 mill) I wonder how these were missed. Having 3 albums on that list is a wonderful achievement but the Circus must also be very near to appearing on that list.

I think Never Forget will keep selling over time - all greatest hits albums usually do.
I'd love it if people could rediscover Beautiful World, cause that album is almost flawless. |

It is rare that studio albums pick up the over time sales more than a Graetest Hits release. In the past Never Forget usually returned to the charts when a new studio album was released of if they carried out any promotion. That said, it has not re-entered for a long time now.
If a new Greatest Hits is released it will kill of sales of the Ultimate Collection if the same songs are included. I think it is now very safe to say that Beautiful World is and will forever remain the biggest selling of their career. Does it deserve that title, i think the answer is yes and most would agree. Ideally i would be happier to see Never Forget the Ultimate Collection overtake Progress. |

Very impressive, although I wonder where Circus is on the list of best selling albums. Should be top 100 I hope

Well done to Take That for having 3 entries, they deserve it and are truly one of the best british musical acts of all time. I can't wait to see what they bring out next, after their new Greatest Hits era.
