Not sure if this has been done before, but I was intrigued to see which contest of the year has typically been my best or worst based on whether I qualified or not, and thought it could be a cool thread idea. (I'd have used month names below but they don't always line-up year on year)

So the fourth, sixth and seventh tend to be my best months of the year (in fact, I scored my best result to date in the seventh contest of 2013). The tenth is definitely my worst, not had a qualifier in the tenth contest of the year since 2013!

I'm not 100% certain but the winter contests (sorta 9th, 10th and 1st) seem to do us pretty well. However our summer months seem pretty shocking

I've always lowkey kept track of this.

Notably the only number I've never failed to qualify in (and indeed for the last four (!) years I've been top 10 in that month) is the fourth contest of the year. Expect me to come out all guns blazing that month even if I am starting off the year pretty terribly JUST for that reason.

On the other end of the spectrum I've only ever once qualified in the seventh contest of the year and even then I was sure I was out with Stellar. But at least I've broken that curse now.

As the other months are all completely mixed now I haven't kept as much track although I had never failed in the sixth contest of the year until I sabotaged myself with Jiriki either.

I always seem to do well at the start and end of the year but flop in the middle. The last two times I had a run of DNQs were both in contests ending in 6 and 7 mellow.gif (86-87 and 66-67, and also I had a single DNQ between those in 78)
