Actually it's a bit pointless because you can't really pre-order to actually stream something, only to have it in your library. But anyway, they're going to offer something like that with the next Laura Marling album:

Interesting.. could this have an impact on the singles chart?
Seems like a great idea to increase streams of albums as often fans don't realise when an album is released on Spotify like they would on iTunes. I just hope we don't see a return of held-back single releases but it seems from the article that the pre-orders will apply to albums rather than singles.
I don't agree it is pointless. It means you don't have to remember to track the album down a few weeks/months later.
Basically I'm guessing instead of grats being added to spotify as single tracks, they'll appear on the album with the unavaliable tracks greyed out, which is basically what apple music does right now
