Q3. A song that many people might recognise without knowing the title or who performed it
Answers given 22 | Scoring 3 | Top score 3 3 points Tones & I - Dance Monkey | vibe, JulianT, Bjork, chrissmith276 1 point Eiffel 65 - Blue (Da Ba Dee) | Ansel, LiamSime Robert Miles - Children | dan::G, garyfeld 0 points ABBA - Dancing Queen | awardinary Chumbawamba - Tubthumping | coi Darude Sandstorm | n4yr Edvard Grieg - In The Hall of the Mountain King | Jade Faithless - Insomnia | Kath Fleetwood Mac - The Chain | Bré Johnny Mandel - Suicide Is Painless | LewisGT Killers - Mr. Brightside | Riser Led Zeppelin - Whole Lotta Love | rio309 Los Del Rio - Macarena | Dobbo Michael Jackson - Billie Jean | ...ready for it Otto Knows - Million Voices | xajnipi Pharrell Williams - Happy | West Pinkfong - Baby Shark | Mango Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody | Mack. Quincy Jones - Soul Bossa Nova | paulgilb Rob Dougan - Clubbed To Death | King Rollo Sigur Rós – Hoppípolla | jimwatts Temper Trap - Sweet Disposition | PeteFromLeeds Some place to start... Here is the question with the lowest (or joint lowest) scoring top answer - I added this question late on with little expectation other than there didn’t seem an obvious one. Dance Monkey makes sense though, as it’s the most Shazam-ed song of all time. Points were thin on the ground elsewhere - if this were Pointless, I’d be trying to avoid this scenario as host, but here it’s rather amusing just to see what people came up with. Q4. A song which peaked at #4 more than a year ago
Answers given 15 | Scoring 6 | Top score 3 3 points Joel Corry - Lonely | PeteFromLeeds, Mango, Bjork, chrissmith276 Little Mix - Touch | jimwatts, n4yr, coi, Kath Robbie Williams - Angels | vibe, JulianT, garyfeld, West 1 point Ariana Grande - God is a woman | Jade, LewisGT Rihanna (feat. Mikky Ekko) - Stay | Dobbo, awardinary Taylor Swift - Blank Space | xajnipi, King Rollo 0 points Ed Sheeran (feat. Camila Cabello & Cardi B) - South Of The Border | Ansel Jonas Brothers - Sucker | Riser Kesha - TiK ToK | Bré Lady Gaga - Paparazzi | dan::G Lana Del Rey - Summertime Sadness | paulgilb Lewis Capaldi - Hold Me While You Wait | LiamSime Megan Thee Stallion - Savage | ...ready for it Muse - Supermassive Black Hole | rio309 Usher (feat. Young Jeezy) - Love In This Club | Mack. As a prelude to next year’s ‘Buzzjack’s Ultimate UK Number 4 Single’, I asked for hits from over a year ago, to get past the recency bias of the likes of Friday and Watermelon Sugar. That didn’t stop several of you choosing one from only just over a year ago, including four for someone whose current hit now resides at that very same #4 position. It shares top billing here with Little Mix’s six-week #4 and Robbie Williams’ signature song. Rihanna, whose song spent four separate weeks at #4, and some other popular female soloists also bring up a point. |

Glad recency paid off here with Joel Corry.
I almost went with South of the Border (sorry Ansel) as that was the last one from 2019 but thought Joel Corry may be in people's minds as mentioned in another question! |

Glad I didn't miss an obvious one for Q3! Was close to putting something like Bohemian Rhapsody just because it was the most recognisable song full stop but pulled short as it didn't really fit the brief.

Q9. Other than Joel Corry - Sorry, a song title which rhymes with the artist / group
Answers given 18 | Scoring 3 | Top score 4 4 points Focus - Hocus Pocus | LiamSime, vibe, Dobbo, garyfeld, King Rollo 3 points Milky Chance - Stolen Dance | jimwatts, dan::G, n4yr, coi 2 points Daft Punk - Da Funk | xajnipi, Riser, Jade 0 points Avicii - You Make Me | LewisGT Celine Dion - My Heart Will Go On | West Chic - Le Freak | Ansel David Guetta feat. RAYE - Stay (Don't Go Away) | chrissmith276 Doop - Doop | Bré Little Mix - Little Me | awardinary M1llionz - B1llionz | JulianT Madonna - Bitch I'm Madonna | Kath Mr Blobby - Mr Blobby | paulgilb Rag 'n' Bone Man - Human | Bjork Rick Ross - The Boss | ...ready for it Sia - Chandelier | Mango Snoop Dogg - Snoop Dogg | Mack. THE SCOTTS - THE SCOTTS | PeteFromLeeds U2 - All I Want Is You | rio309 A slightly higher top answer, but this question actually yielded fewer points than Q4. I originally considered this as a Pointless question in the last series, but thought that may be too punishing for anyone who couldn’t think of one, so I’ve thrown it in here instead. Unfortunately, that means most of the inspired answers people came up with aren’t rewarded with any points, as those of us on the same wavelength were in the minority. The top answer is very much trivia question territory - I think James Masterton mentioned it when Sorry charted, so I’d heard of it but hadn’t actually listened to it until yesterday (and if prog rock mixed with yodelling appeals to you, I’d recommend you do the same). |

Never heard of that Focus song. Not too gutted then as lots of 0 pointers there.
I got a double rhyme in my song title as well haha! Almost went with Queen - Killer Queen but would have been a zero as well! |

Three of us going for the 'name a song with the same title as the artist' strategy but all going for different songs Not really kicking myself there, the only other song I could think of in the spur of the moment was Gary Moore - After the War which would have been just as fruitless.

I remembered Hocus Pocus appeared in the itunes top 10 a couple of months ago (plus I couldn't think of any other answers for that one).
