The final week of 2019 sees Dua Lipa coming from the back of the pack to return to the crown, taking a record 5th week at #1 with Don't Start Now. The track has dominated the last two months and blazes past every challenger to take tops this week, on its 8th consecutive week within the top 5. Last year's #1 by Iggy Azalea (!) drops to this week's #2 after one week at the summit, while previous leader from Billie Eilish drops to #6 this week.

This week being the Christmas chart, several holiday songs appear in this week's rundown. This year the highest of those goes to Leona Lewis who ends up this week/year at #8 with One More Sleep. Genre-wise its a whole mixed bag this week with a lot of softer seasonal tracks making appearances, but also a lot of heavier and high energy tracks as I did a lot of travelling over this week (it happens when you live circa 600 miles from your family) and that's the kind of thing I listen to on the move. *shrug*

Brand new entries this week come in order from these artists: Kacey Musgraves, Haim, Boney M, Grimes, B*Witched, Ally Brooke, Paisley Pink, LEON and Franky Wah with Jessie Ware. Contenders for next week within this week's chart would come from Poppy, Jazmin Bean, Harry Styles, Brooke Candy, and an offchance lookout for the Frock Destroyers at this week's #10.

As ever I've linked in my up-to-date spotify radio playlists so you can pretty easily check out some of those tracks in full and see what might be landing next week. I may also add some more youtube links to the list if I get the time this week.

Hi Jupiter!
Nice to see Dua as the final #1 of the year and of the decade!
As for your debuts, I have to listen to all them, so I can't comment on them yet, aside from "Time After Time", which was good.
Great chart!
