A belated chart from me this week sees Christina's Accelerate moving up to claim the top spot. It's the most excited I've been about something she's put out for years, although it was always going to be divisive, moving away from the pure pop she's best known for and has seen the biggest musical success with. This is already being pushed down in favour of the safer Demi Lovato collab, but I'm so much more on board with this one. Good to have you back, Xtine. Fuego is the only new entrant into the top 5 this week, blasting up from #18. HOUSE OF SAY, G-Eazy and the late Avicii are new entrants into the top ten.

This week's highest brand new start comes from Becky G with Sin Pijama, which I expect to eventually become a forum hit, if not a chart hit in its own right in the UK. New entries are a little thin on the ground this week; additionals come from Bastille, J Balvin and Nicky Jam, Paramore, Plan B, Lion Babe, Little Giants, Kiiara and Saara Aalto. That's a lot of consecutive letters in a row!
I'll link the videos to those a bit later in the week to save you having to imagine what they sound like biggrin.gif

If you can't wait of course, feel free to check out my (linked) spotify playlists at the bottom of this post where you'll find them and a bunch of other great tracks wink.gif

Hey Jupiter hi.gif

I've only listened to 'Accelerate' once and didn't quite know what to make of it as it seemed like such a switch-up for Christina. Very left-field. May have to check it out again at some point to see if it'll click more. Elsewhere, yay for the new entries for 'Monsters' and 'Guess Again'! It's a shame that the latter isn't blowing up more, I heard it on radio 1 the other day and it sounded great.

Good stuff happy.gif

Accelerate is such an amazing track, it is nice to see it take the top spot here! It's definitely the best Liberation track she has put out so far!

I like your Saara Aalto entry, although nothing else I heard from the album is really clicking with me.

Great chart this week cheer.gif

Thanks for the comments, folks! Accelerate is definitely different but I'm a sucker for something unorthodox biggrin.gif

As for the new entries this week, here they are...

Starting off, two Spanish bops, a subgenre I've been getting more into this year. Becky G comes in fresh off the back of top 5 Sean Paul collab Mad Love, while this the first in several years for J Balvin whose only previous entry is 2014 chart topper Cola Song, with Inna. If either release any other songs of this calibre this year, they should be back up here again though!

Bastille and Paramore debut new tunes on the indie rock spectrum too. Rose Colored Boy is Paramore's sixth charter from After Laughter and follows-up two top tens; while Quarter Past Midnight becomes Bastille, a band I came to late's fourth charter total. Their previous peaker is last year's Send Them Off! reached #7.

Plan B and Saara Aalto debut their first entries to my personals this week. The former's released a lot of tunes with a different sound this last year before Guess Again, but unlike it, none of them really caught me. Aalto's Monsters is a little cheesy, but was a fun Eurovision entry.

And then there's a mix of tracks that don't really fit together; Leikeli47 and Lion Babe's random collab, A monsieur Adi track that's been floating around the lower reaches of my personals for months (that unfortunately seems to be a spotify-exclusive - I've linked the original), and one by Kiiara that I'm kinda lukewarm on all squeak in this week as some older tracks fall away. All fun tracks though that maybe some of you will end up liking too.

And that's the lot! Any other comments or thoughts are, as ever, welcome smile.gif

Hello Jupiter!
I like the top 10 gain for "Fuego" and the top 20 gain for "Girls"!
And I like the debuts for "Quarter Past Midnight", "X" and "Rose-Colored Boy"!
Great chart as always!
And one more thing, I wanted to do just like you, to link the videos of all the new entries. But I don't know how to do it, can you please help me with it?
