The Brits has started to lose it's impact, isn't it?

I can see them doing Monster In Me / Think About Us but I wouldn't mind a performance of 'Strip'.

QUOTE(Joe. @ Jan 16 2019, 10:48 AM) *
That's why I think a medley would be great. It's not uncommon for artists to do 2 or even 3 songs in one performance (at least one artist does this every year), so I really think this could be the year for Little Mix! Rita got a performance that was over 5 minutes long last year. So I think a The Cure/Monster in Me into Think About Us could be perfect.
That would be cool! However, imagine if The Brits did their unexpected collaborations again (ala Rihanna/Klaxons & Florence/Dizzee etc..) and we FINALLY got that LM & Ariana collab? *.*

I know it’s so unlikely but I’d just love for them to win British Group this time round! And tbf none of the groups in the category had stellar sales behind them this year, and I think it’s high time a female band won this category! I can already see the social media backlash towards the brits if they don’t win.

Even if they don’t win this, I hope British video is on lock, and I really think we’ve got it this year!

The winner of that award typically tends to go to groups who solely write their own material and who play instruments. Don’t get me wrong Little Mix are definitely my personal favourite from the nominations but I predict the Arctic Monkeys to win.

I feel like The 1975 are gonna win, especially as Arctic Monkeys didn't get a "Best Album" nomination.

It's just so infuriating that pop bands in general get ignored for that category sad.gif

Apparently Perrie has said that they will be joined by a "special guest" and "to expect big things".

Me and Joe are in a bit of a disagreement as to who it could be. Joe seems to think it'll be as straight forward as Ty Dolla $ign.. I'm thinking why wouldn't they just announce him, I believe he's not that big of a name in the UK to keep as "special guest". So I hope it isn't.

I'm thinking it'll be someone bigger like Ariana but, what if it's The Spice Girls? That'd be pretty huge or what about BLACKPINK? *.* (unlikely, but I'm just speculating haha)

But speculate at this rumour!

Assuming "expect big things" is referring to the special guest and not just the performance itself, I can't see it being Ty either. He's just not a big deal in the UK and is too obvious to be a 'special' guest.

Can't think of who it could be. Spice Girls would obiously be fantastic and probably more achievable than you might think. The BRITs are certainly fans of them.

Any previous era I would be excited and think something big is happening but I do think it will be Ty Dolla $ign now! A Little Mix & Spice Girls performance would be iconic though although none of the spice girls would be able to handle any of the notes of 'Think About Us'.

I'd rather it was a Little Mix performance and not a Spice Girls performance as this album needs focus and I want a performance that will play to their strengths, but if Parras is choreographing I don't think it will include Spice Girls. I really think it'll probably just be Ty. I remember they teased a specail guest for their London O2 show and everyone was thinking it would be Sean Paul or Jason Derulo but it was Lethal Bizzle lol.

I’d honestly prefer Ty to the Spice Girls. I’m... really not a fan. Would the girls even want to collaborate after Mel C’s comments about them in the past?

Spice Girls have great pop songs to be fair (no rappers or cover versions either). tongue.gif

Little Mix and Spice Girls performing together would be an ICONIC BRITs moment! wub.gif

They're performing with Ms Banks (who was recently on the Gun Lean remix) which is pretty uninspiring.

Their campaign has been about evelating women so they’re helping out a new and up and coming rapper. It could be cool, she’ll probably just do her own rap in the place or Ty Dolla’s. At least we don’t have Nicki stinking up the joint or them having to share focus with someone as big as Ariana or Spice Girls.

She's already apologised. Twitter fans are just being insufferable as usual.

I'm fine with the collab in all honesty, it's cute that they're giving her a platform and her Twitter response to the announcement was really sweet. And like Joe mentioned, it at least means no Nicki (and hopefully no WLM performance).
