Maybe I'll leave off next year. The majority of my entries don't seem to resonate with many people any more

My most inspired entry to date and I flopped! Going back to pop pandering, that works better for me.

Ahh I'm so glad to be through, almost forgot what it was like to have back-to-back Qs I've been feeling pretty directionless with my entries this year but starting to think I've found my groove again.
Two of my top 3 in semi 2 DNQd (St. Burbia and Niceland ) so my 18 is definitely up for grabs, hoping I find plenty to like from the semi 1 qualifiers! |

Wow. Got through with my risk entry.
Thanks for the votes. Bribes are in the post, as we speak. |

Thanks Harry for the 10 points, it was almost enough to get us into the final, and everyone else for the support too! Sad to see 3 of our faves DNQ, maybe the UK single version of Win might have grabbed a few more votes, and Unfamiliar and I'm Different deserved better too.
Thanks Harve for the fab organising and hosting, and also putting us out of our misery early on, so much better than waiting to the end To anyone feeling deflated by not making the final, sadly there's only 10 spots to vote for so tracks that a lot of people quite like can flop while tracks that maybe a lot of peeps might actively dislike or marmite actively love get through, and being in the wrong semi can also make a difference. Plus, some genres are more likely not to do well. I expected my Corinne Bailey Rae punk chant to be one of those marmite tracks but she nearly made it, and I'm pleased by a rave review of her new change of direction in The Guardian this week, and both Corinne and Two Door Cinema Club topped my personal charts, much better to put something in you absolutely love rather than something just to try and qualify! Music is fab, I still love fab new discoveries |

Aww particularly sad about Aesthetica, it was a song I'd discovered previously through my release radar on Spotify and remember thinking then that it sounded quite bjsc friendly!
