The latest Tik Tok inspired rap song to hit the top 40 is 'Party Girl' by 19 year old Virginian StaySolidRocky. This has got him signed to Columbia Records and enters the chart at #34 this week.
I like the instrumental in the first 15 seconds, sounds a bit like what you would expect to hear in a trance track from the year 2000!
Unfortunately the rest of the song disappoints a bit after that, although it is OK.

This is really, really bad. I actually think TikTok hits tend to be pretty good but the userbase have lost their mind with this one. It's like a Fetty Wap song but with much worse vocals (they seriously remind me a little of IceJJFish at some parts!), much worse lyrics and a complete lack of any charisma. Get rid.
I guess to its credit the hook is kind of catchy and that's probably all that really matters for TikTok to have latched onto it but blegh ~
Haha yes Bré I was seriously thinking of IceJJFish when I listened to this song for the first time.
