BuzzJack Music Forum _ Dance _ The Chainsmokers - All We Know (feat. Phoebe Ryan)

Hot as hell! Could you imagine that these guys will put the conveyor on? Of course no! Did you have enough time to rest from 'Closer'? I don't think so.
spoiler: this brand new song doesn't sound really brand new, as it completely rips off Closer.

Looking forward to this as I liked her song Chronic. But I'd much prefer a Roses to a Closer myself!

can't wait w00t.gif ~ the chainsmokers have been on FIRE 🔥🔥🔥 this year~ dance.gif

HYPE! Wonder how well it'll do?

Posted by: mr_pmt 26th September 2016, 07:08 PM

Is the one with Bebe Rexha not next after all?

I'm hoping this is at least better than 'Closer', I can't bear it.

Posted by: Sonar 26th September 2016, 07:11 PM

I think they have found what they do well ^^

Posted by: danG 26th September 2016, 07:26 PM

another chainsmokers song already?!

wouldn't surprise me if this is just a buzz track (like 'inside out' was) to keep the fans happy whilst 'closer' still smashes the charts worldwide. followed by the bebe rexha one being their next proper single.

remember they have no plans to do an album anytime soon so the singles will just keep on coming

Posted by: Ultraviolence1989 26th September 2016, 09:04 PM

Hope this is a lot more Don't Let Me Down than it is Closer!

They are really going for it with female singers who deserve to be huge! I applaud them cheer.gif

Oh my god yes I am ready.

I hope the Chainsmokers stop the emphasis on the drop soon and move on to a more fluid style, and increase the bpm a bit too.

What a year they're having!

Posted by: mdh 29th September 2016, 06:00 PM

Immense. Sounds massive.

Posted by: mr_pmt 29th September 2016, 06:29 PM

It sounds pretty much exactly like 'Closer'? Admittedly less annoying, but still.

I think the production's a little bit more refined and exciting Closer, and the vocals less grating, so it's an improvement on that for me. I can't give it too much credit though as it is EXACTLY the same structure, theme, composition etc. as that, I wouldn't have been able to tell that it had a different featured vocalist as well. Not that that'll stop this being huge ofc. but RIP creative Chainsmokers songs I guess :'(

Posted by: danG 29th September 2016, 08:05 PM

I hope this is just a buzz track, it's quite disappointing.

Posted by: Cameron 29th September 2016, 08:19 PM

I feel the vocals are very quiet, it kind of makes me feel uncomfortable if that makes sense?

Posted by: Ethan 29th September 2016, 08:59 PM

it’s a tad on the formulaic side biggrin.gif ~ but a bop nevertheless~ dance.gif music.gif

Posted by: burbe 29th September 2016, 09:14 PM

Yeah, it's very similar to Closer but I like it. It feels like a slightly subdued version.

I'm not entirely sure what to say of this, given that I didn't like Closer at all initially. And this sounds like a less catchy version of Closer, maybe it'll grow massively like that has, it's hard to say.

An initial problem is that regardless of what I thought of Closer at the time, I thought Halsey sounded strong but the guy didn't. Phoebe's voice is nowhere near as distinctive and punchy as Halsey's, so it loses a bit of the "singalong" factor that Closer has. I kinda can't imagine this being sung word for word in a club as Closer has.

Probably a hit but not to Closer levels, I wouldn't have thought.

EDIT: Already starting to love this by second listen lmao.

Well they're in such a purple patch atm that they could put literally anything out & people would lap it up. This is just so nondescript, I know I disliked Closer at first but grew to like it but can't see that happening at all with this one.

I'm really confused how but I am loving this despite hating Closer!! I love the drop and its just completely hit me!

Ultra, the same here laugh.gif
I cannot listen to Closer, but I really like All We Know, although they sound so similar... weird laugh.gif

On another note, now that there's a video, will they push this as a proper single?

Posted by: lewistgreen 18th November 2016, 07:49 AM

I'd like this to be chosen but for some reason Setting Fires has been added to rotations on music channels instead this week sad.gif
