Dead @ the Rebecca Ferguson shade in the subtitle, Jonjo!! Also dead @ them keeping the name 'Harry Hole' for the lead character even though the film doesn't seem to be set in Scandinavia at all so it looks very odd when pronounced/spelled in English!!
This does look very good, excited for a good thriller and my heart was pounding watching this trailer in bed last night |

This was mega disappointing. So, so bland and felt more like one of those two-part ITV dramas or something, except, not as interesting or exciting/thrilling.

The closest comparison I can make to this is "The Girl on the Train" but not as good really. I enjoyed the first act or so with the gradual clues being revealed and the killer running rings around the police detectives. The ending was rubbish though, I actually thought it was a joke when the clever, calculated serial killer (and qualified doctor/plastic surgeon or something) just died by not watching where he was going and falling into some water.... I was expecting him to get back out and then be stopped in a jaw-dropping corkscrew being twisted into your neck style ending like in TGOTT and I found it hard to contain my laughter when I realised that that was actually the note the film was going to end on. It also had the same twist with the killer being revealed as someone who is barely even a character in the first two acts of the movie so it feels like a bit of an unearned shock. Not surprised at the bad reviews really, I was expecting it to be much better than it was.

Disappointed at the bad reviews. The trailer makes it look brilliant and I even bought the first two books because of it, just not got round to reading them yet!

I've heard that the books are (as usual) 1000x better! I've not read them myself though!

Annoyed to hear this is bad I might still give it a go, I was hoping it would be this years 'Gone Girl' / 'The Girl On The Train'!

I’ve never seen a worse book to movie adaptation. They took out so many important bits and changed so much that was better in the book. It was also very dull. What a mess!

Even the director has basically said it's a pile of shit Glad I didn't pay money to go and see it. I'll just wait until it goes up online. |

Just to echo what everyone else in the entire world is saying, this is a horrific movie. The only good thing about it was the beautiful scenery. Literally everything was crap.

This was absolute dross pretty much all the way through. Complete & utter borefest, biggest disappointment of the year for me.
