Most of my Paralympic viewing has been courtesy of The Last Leg, but I did see Jonnie Peacock winning the 100 last night.

It also shows how tactical many Olympic races are - athletes frequently win championships with times which would be nowhere near the best in the world in that given year. When you're not fully aware of where your rivals are, there's much more incentive to run at your absolute limit.

Well done to ex-F1 driver Alex Zanardi who won gold in the men's H5 category in track cycling on the 15th anniversary of his horrific crash at the EuroSpeedway Lausitz. He has won his third Paralympic gold medal.

Alex Brooker spoke passionately about him on The Last Leg last night.
