Thought I'd start this topic as we have official confirmation that a trailer is premiering today/tomorrow (it said "10 hours ago" on Facebook so I don't know when "tomorrow" is haha)

Really excited for this one. The 1st was surprisingly good and the 2nd was very good. I'm really happy Dylan managed to survive everything that happened and make a healthy recovery!

I haven't watched any of these films but I love The Hunger Games, is it anything like that or more like that Insurgent/Divergent crap?

I'd say it's much more in the vein of Hunger Games than it is the Divergent series but even then it's not THAT similar. If you decide to watch it, let us know what you think!

Oh and I prefer The Maze Runner franchise to the other ones it is compared to tbh. It's not as OTT as The Hunger Games, so you don't have as many larger than life characters, but I think that works in it's favour.

Really? But tbf I am basing this on about 20 mins of Divergent and under an hour of Allegiant puke.gif

Trailer:

Looks good. A bit more generic action than the other two though, but we shall see!

Definitely nowhere near as good as The Hunger Games imo. I preferred the first Divergent movie to the first Maze Runner movie, but the other way round for the sequels.

The first two were excellent and are underrated. They're so much more focused than the divergent films. Not as good as the first two Hunger Games films but better than the last two.

Really excited for this. Been rewatching the other 2 in anticipation and I forgot just HOW much I enjoyed them! Especially the first one. I still prefer the 2nd, just, but the first is such a brilliant and intriguing concept and it's a shame they didn't delve into it a little bit more.

I am excited to see this but after the second film diverted so far away from the book that it is practically a separate entity altogether, I don't hold out much hope for the final chapter sad.gif

Not without it's flaws, this is another entry to that series that I found to be incredibly harshly reviewed! Still an entertaining, thrill ride I thought. Dylan continued to put in an excellent performance. I felt like they tied up loose ends well and gave it a satisfying ending!

The whole "being different to the books" argument is tiring to read about. Had it not been called 'Maze Runner...' there would have been uproar and the company would have been sued or something. But this is definitely more "Based on" as opposed to being an actual version of the books. (I can't comment on content as I haven't read the books laugh.gif)
