I only put Full Frontal because it sounded like a Regina-ish movie

Either getting top answers or pointless so far, I had to sift through your all your movie posts using the search tool to find out that you like JGL , took me ages

07. Who has managed to have a singing career and a film career, to success? Cher **POINTLESS** Acidburn Barbara Streisand **POINTLESS** J▲hq Madonna **POINTLESS** HausofTroye Justin Timberlake (1) Jonjo; Joe. Jennifer Lopez (1) Ultraviolence1989; Josh Josh Binks Will Smith (1) Chez Wombat; Mack Nicki Minaj **INCORRECT** (11) Dobbo Queen Latifah **INCORRECT** (11) Regina So the three old hags score pointless! I'm surprised Madonna get more answers and I actually forgot about her until Bal sent his answers in! Mine & a Regina fave, Justin Timberlake, manages to score a point for myself and Joe. Whilst Regina fave J Lo also manages to score a point and everyone's favourite Man In Black and mardy bum, Will Smith, gives Chez & Mack a point each. Dobbo suggested Nicki Minaj... a very successful musician but actress? She's starred in a couple of things, but nothing that got people talking or something she hasn't had "success" in. Now on to the Queen Latifah answer by Regina. For the basis that I'm not scoring Nicki Minaj with pointless, when it's the opposite for Queen L (very successful actress, not so much as a musician). SORRY! |

The best two of that lot being the 2 incorrect ones!! Loved Queen Latifah in Hairspray and Nicki Minaj in The Other Woman
Yay for J-Lo only scoring a point |

08. Name an Emma Watson film. 'Perks Of Being A Wallflower' **POINTLESS** Jonjo 'Harry Potter & The Half-Blood Prince' **POINTLESS** Dobbo 'The Tale Of Desperaux' **POINTLESS** Acidburn 'Regression' **POINTLESS** Ultraviolence1989 'Harry Potter & The Goblet Of Fire' **POINTLESS** Josh Josh Binks 'Beauty & The Beast' **POINTLESS** Chez Wombat 'Harry Potter & The Order Of the Phoenix' **POINTLESS** Mack 'Noah' **POINTLESS** Regina 'Harry Potter & The Prisoner Of Azkaban' **POINTLESS** HausofTroye 'The Bling Ring' (1) J▲hq; Joe. You can see the results here. I only wish I rephrased this question to avoid so many HP answers! But yeahhhh. Also 'The Bling Ring' is shit, which is why it's probably the only one to score points as they thought it'd be an easy pointless |

I thought Minaj's iconic role in The Other Woman warranted a punt

09. Name a horror film scheduled to come out in the year 2016. 'The Purge 3' **POINTLESS** Acidburn 'Pride & Prejudice And Zombies' **POINTLESS** Chez Wombat 'The Witch' **POINTLESS** Joe. 'The Conjuring 2: The Enfield Poltergeist' (1) J▲hq; HausofTroye 'The Forest' (2) Jonjo; Ultraviolence1989; Josh Josh Binks 'Paranormal Activity: We've Done Too Many Of These Now' **INCORRECT** (11) Dobbo 'Goosebumps' **INCORRECT** (11) Mack '10 Cloverfield Lane' **INCORRECT** (11) Regina You should all know by now that I do love my horrors. There's nothing like the feeling and thrill of being scared and not being able to move from where you've watched the film just because of how scary it is to go and put the light on! So I asked for you all to name a horror movie that's scheduled to be released in 2016. There were three pointless answers here. The first came courtesy of Acidburn with his answer in which he gave us the third installment of the incredibly successful 'Purge' series. Another movie I am anticipating a fair amount is the period, drama, comedy, horror, 'Pride & Prejudice And Zombies', which looks ridiculous but incredibly fun too. Joe. manages to score another pointless with his answer, in which he went for a film which has been named "the scariest movie of 2016", 'The Witch'. We had 3 incorrect answer this round too. Dobbo decided to go for another 'Paranormal Activity' film, but there are none scheduled this year as the last one was released back in October. Whether it's the last one, for sure, we won't know until the near future. Mack decided to go for a kids film, 'Goosebumps'. The TV show was hella scary and the books were even scarier, but I believe this film is more fantasy, adventure, comedy as opposed to any sort of horror. And lastly we have Regina who, by sheer luck of timing, suggested '10 Cloverfield Lane'. I was umming and ahhing about this one as I would have thought it would be horror, but I checked IMDB to make sure and they don't have this down as a horror, but have 'Cloverfield' as one. So I can't award you a pointless for this unfortunately Surprisingly (?) nobody seemed to go for 'The Boy' (pictured - for which I sincerely apologise. It's horrific). |

I don't wanna come off as pissy but Queen Latifah was nominated for an Oscar for a musical where she sang and is highly regarded as a musician especially among
the female rap genre. 6 Grammy nominations with one win. Loads of hip hop artists have named her as an influence too. I'd say she's about as successful as Will Smith Also the first Cloverfield is a horror so surely the follow up would be classed as one? just because IMDB doesn't put it as one based on a teaser trailer. Hoping horror is better this year, realised I didn't see a single one released in 2015 (unless The Gift counts)
Goosebumps is a 100% not a horror movie, such a fun fantasy comedy movie though and is great, highly recommend it I thought 10 Cloverfield Lane was also a horror movie, shocked IMDB don't have it under horror Getting the most points again with The Forest |

Ha, that's the best I've ever done in any Pointless round I think *.* (was hoping my loophole of Beauty & The Beast for the Beast for the Emma Watson film would be a winner, albeit almost EVERYONE got a pointless there!), thanks for hosting Jonjo!
Pride & Prejudice & Zombies looks so odd yet brilliant, kinda want to read the book first though. This post has been edited by Chez Wombat: Jan 21 2016, 11:24 PM |
